Photos of Palais de l'Ile

The Palace of the Islands is located on a small island in the river in the old town of Annecy. It is a small triangular castle built in 1132. The Palace of the Island was once the residence of the lord of Annecy, and soon became the administrative headquarters of the Count of Geneva, and later the mint and prison, respectively. A small museum is now set up here to showcase the local history.
