Canterbury | Encounter the "Monet Garden" of the Oil Painting Town |||
Canterbury is located in the southeast of London in Kent County, and is one of the oldest small towns in England. It is also the earliest landing point of the Roman Catholic Church in England. It is known as the "back garden of London".
Westgate Garden, formerly a private residential garden, dates back almost thousands of years to ancient Roman times. It is a quaint town garden full of Shakespearean architecture. A clear and shallow river flows slowly through the center of the town, reflecting the fairy-tale-like houses on one side, becoming the most beautiful scenery of the town. The trees are lush, the flowers are blooming, and the murmuring river flows under the short bridge, while the Shakespearean-style manor stands silently in such a landscape. It is now a famous public leisure garden in the area. Swans and wild ducks can often be seen on the river next to the garden. The vigorous vitality, the reflection of past times, and the excellent scenery all make for a perfect photo opportunity. It feels like stepping back into Monet's garden many years ago, with a painting-like landscape. England, Europe.
Beautiful gardens, very well maintained and offering excellent views 👌
A beautiful park close to the high street and the simita. If you are lucky enough to visit the day the weather is good, the park opens a nice long walking trail. There is a small river to rent boats, and the river is full of ducks and other birds. There are lots of students and families lying on the grass, but it is quiet and relaxing!
Lovely walk down the canal with boats. Leads to a park further down. Pretty flowers so good for photos.
🌸🇬🇧 The beautiful oil painting town Canterbury is worth saving ||| Recently Canterbury (Canterbury) is a sunny day ☀️ Quickly rush ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah 1⃣️ The first stop is highly recommended Westgate Garden!!! I went around 15:00 in the afternoon. There is a small door by the river that is open for tourists to enter (take pictures). The sun is very big in the afternoon, and the river is sparkling and super beautiful! It will be more beautiful to the naked eye! There will be small boats coming and going, more like an oil painting! 👏👏👏🌸 2⃣️ The second stop recommends boating. 🌸 The first boating point is in Westgate garden, near the bridge head. It is recommended to avoid Saturdays and Sundays. Too many tourists only accept online reservations. (I think this cruise is super beautiful, you can sit on the boat and watch the garden, but unfortunately there are too many people on weekends only to accept reservations) 🌸 The second boating point is Canterbury punting company(CT1 2NQ), and you can also take a boat on Saturdays and Sundays. The student ticket is 20 pounds per person. The scenery along the way is not bad, you can watch the water and grass in the river up close. 🌸 3⃣️ Canterbury Cathedral Canterbury Cathedral was built in 598 AD. It is one of the oldest and most famous Christian buildings in the UK and is listed as a World Heritage Site. Opening hours 10:00-16:30 tickets can be purchased on site. The ticket purchase point is next to the souvenir shop, 14 pounds for one person. The church is very large, divided into three parts, the upper, middle and lower, the basement floor is too cold, girls who are afraid of the cold can not go in. 🌸 There is a Harry Potter store opposite the church! There are a variety of dragons inside, dazzling, it is recommended that Harry Potter fans can go in and stroll! ! 🌸 4⃣️ Tilt Bookstore The crooked house Built in the 17th century, the strange appearance is very attractive~ The interior is a bookstore 📖🌸 It is very abundant in an afternoon! It is recommended to leave at noon, apply sun protection, wear good-looking clothes, the super beautiful town will never regret it! ! !
