    It's just a stone monument.

    Original Text

From the instruction manual, it seems that it is a clan school established in Meiji 2. After that, Fukui Junior High School was established. However, the clan school was in the Meiji period? I felt that it was not much slower than other clans.

    School Trail

    Original Text

There is a stone monument in the corner of the broadcasting hall, about a 6-minute walk from Fukui Station. It is said that Harutake Matsudaira, the lord of the Fukui domain, built it in the second year of Ansei for the purpose of raising a splendid human being who can carry Japan on his back.

Does it make sense that the monument is small?

    Original Text

There was a small monument quietly at the northeast corner of the site of the broadcasting hall. If you take a closer look at the place where the Fukui clan school once existed, you can see a short period from Meiji 2 Year 5 to December. That's why the size of the monument is modest.

    Fukui prefectural Fujishima high school

    Original Text

It was also listed on the map in the city, so I visited it. It was designated as a historic site in Fukui City. After that, Meishinkan became Fukui Junior High School and seems to be connected to the current Fukui Prefectural Fujishima High School.

    Only monument

    Original Text

It is an inscription that stands secretly on the site of the Meishinkan. It was one block south of Central Park. If you don't pay attention to only the small monument in the corner of the building, you will pass through it.
