Malaysia's national monument is located in a park in the heart of the capital Kuala Lumpur. The original monument was built during the British colonial period to remember the British soldiers who died in the two world wars. After independence, the monument was moved to its current location, and in 1966 a group of bronze statues were added to the monument to commemorate the victims of independence. This group of statues is called the world's tallest bronze statue, but it is not too tall to see. I remember seeing many tall bronze statues, especially those knights and tsars in northern Europe, but I don't know if the flag is to raise the height of the statue. It seems that the flag is still a bit useful.
