Moran Hill

Mudanfeng Nature Reserve is located in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, with an area of 19468 hectares. It was established in 1981 with the approval of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government. It was promoted to the national level in 1994. The main protection target is red pine broad-leaved mixed forest. The reserve area of the Changbai Mountains and the Wanda Mountains intersect the Laoyeling Mountains, the east is connected to Taiping Mountains, and the west is adjacent to Zhang Guangcai Mountain. The total area is 400 square kilometers, which is a natural landscape of primitive ecology and a national nature reserve. It belongs to temperate red pine broad-leaved mixed forest area, its characteristic is that there are different succession stages in the forest recovery process after the destruction of red pine broad-leaved mixed forest, and there are still good red pine broad-leaved mixed forest in the core area. There are 988 kinds of plants in the area, more than 150 kinds of vertebrates, of which the northeast tiger, horse deer and so on are the key national protection wildlife. The location of this area is also one of the birthplaces of the Qing Dynasty, listed as the northern paddock of the Qing Dynasty emperors, the natural landscape is beautiful and strange, and the humanistic landscape is more preserved.
