A building that was a human silk fabric inspection station in one of the largest sericulture areas in Japan
Original Text
It was on the wonderful cobblestone approach to Matsufu Shrine in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. I happened to find it when I passed by. There is a signboard for explanation on the front, and it is said that the building was built as a human silk fabric inspection station. It was a building that made me feel the history. In Sabae City, textiles have been produced since ancient times, and sericulture, silk making, and silkworm seed production and sales have progressed, and it is said that it was one of the leading sericulture areas in Japan during the Meiji era. Among Fukui Prefecture, which is called the textile kingdom, sabae city occupies its central position and excellent technique ...
About 4 minutes walk from JR Sabae Station. It is an old two-story wooden building beside the large torii gate at the entrance to Matsufu Shrine. It is said that it was built as an office of the human silk textile search office in 1945, and the counter at that time was left inside. I couldn't go inside, so I only visited from the outside.
It is a building that can be understood that the main export of prewar goods is the textile industry.

In the old town of Sabae City, the early story is a little lonely in the shutter town. This building is a building that you can understand that the main exports before the war were the textile industry. Today, it is used like a public hall. Mothers were gathering on the first floor, and children were working on making independently produced robots and toys on the second floor to paint the work. Modern Sabae City licensed with French luxury brands such as glasses ...
It is a little walk from Horie Station. I went by car, but it was okay to stop by one wide street, so I think it would be good to use it when visiting. However, it seems that depending on the day, it is decided which side of the road to park the car, so be careful. The building is reused from old buildings, as it is the former Sabae District Textiles Inspection Station, and has an atmosphere where you can feel the history. The explanation is also attached to the side ...
It is located a few minutes walk from Sabae Station. There is a retro-style building next to the Otorii of Matsufu Shrine, and it was the first time I approached it, I found that it was a building designated as a registered tangible cultural property. It was surprising that the outer wall was wooden. Grace, an explanation board by Sabae City and Sabae City Board of Education was installed in front of me, and I was able to easily understand the building.
