Beijing is China's capital city. It was first established around 3,000 years ago and has historically been the capital of the nation for more than 800 years. This place has a long and storied history and culture. Tian’anmen Square and the Great Hall of the People bore witness to the country's century of humiliation. The Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven all have an incomparable imperial style. Beijing is also an international city with a modern and fashionable elegance. The nightscape of places like Sanlitun and Shichahai is intoxicating. In all its neighborhoods, Beijing is packed with places that will evoke surprise and wonder. Beijing is a warm and welcoming city.
E26***79I visited the Great Wall December 30 2020. it was -12 degrees and windy. Due to the weather it was incredibly quiet which was magnificent but it was not pleasant feeling so cold. The wall is not a walk it is a climb. There are some very steep sections and the stairs can be a little daunting if you’re afraid of heights. standing at the top of the 8th tower is something special, looking into the distance at how far it stretches and the fact that people made this huge structure is mind blowing. I feel very accomplished for climbing the wall in the conditions I faced but I’m not sure I would recommend going during the same weather conditions but definitely make an effort to visit. Be sure to book online and it is much easier to get a didi to the wall as I tried getting the train to find I had no idea which train to take.

No better way to experience the Great Wall of China than to stay right next to it! The Brickyard at Mutianyu (or the Beijing Tile Factory Hotel) was a beautiful and welcoming place to stay — full of friendly staff, a relaxing place to get a massage, and good food✨好吃😋Just about the perfect way to spend a weekend Lunar New Year getaway while staying in Beijing! It’s definitely on my “places to go back to” list!

Night in Beijing
Yuanming yuan 圆明园，Beijing. Firstly, this place is telling us the dark story of previous century when beautiful garden and Palace were robbed by riders belonged to several countries (European countries and Russian Emoire). What this place got now is ruins and artifacts bought by Chinese government back. I can't imagine how beautiful it was!
Winter walking trough big garden territory made this visit even more sad. Strange experience...
