Ping'anqiao Catholic Church

One of the most wanted to see Chengdu attractions before coming, I really like it! However, after arriving, I deliberately chose to come over on the weekend. The main church was always closed. I waited for 3 hours. I was outside. I was not responsible for the kung fu. I finally sneaked in from the back door. The result also told me not to take pictures. In fact, there was no one in the room. The black one did not turn on the lights.

Ping An Bridge Catholic Church is located at No. 29 Xihuamen Street (formerly Ping An Bridge Street) in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The main church is the main church of the Virgin Mary without original sin. It is roughly divided into the old and new churches, and the old church was built in the early 20th century to the north. In 1895, the Ping An Bridge Cathedral was built. The current cathedral was not built until 1904, nine years later. The facade of the cathedral is Roman-style semicircular arches and Corinthian columns.

The Ping An Bridge Catholic Church covers an area of nearly 30 mu and has a construction area of 8,508 square meters. It was built by the French Bishop Luo Shuya in 1897. It recruited craftsmen from Chongzhou, Daxuan, Xuanxi and other places in the suburbs of Chengdu, and it took 7 years to complete. The Church of the Peace Bridge includes the Great and Great Sutra, the Church of the Virgin of the Virgin, and the Episcopal Office. The church is shaped like ten, the Episcopal Palace is shaped like a bundle, and the entire complex is shaped like a "square", resulting in chic, simple and elegant. The Church of Our Lady of Infectious Original Sin can accommodate more than 1,000 people, and the small church is dedicated to the bishops and priests.

A attraction very close to the city center, I made an appointment with my friends to eat nearby. After eating, I searched the nearby attractions and saw this church. I was attracted by the pictures in the introduction. I followed the navigation all the way. The positioning was still very accurate. The church is open until 45 pm, so it is recommended to have this itinerary planned or come earlier. The front of the church is not allowed to enter. You have to enter from the small door on the right hand side. There is a white natural mother's undying sin image at the main entrance. The front scenery will be better to take pictures. The scenic spot is free and you don't need to pay tickets. There are several staff members sitting at the entrance, and there are some introduction materials in front of you, you can take a look and understand. The church is built in a small park. It came in the week and there were no people in the scenic spot. Walking to the innermost is the church. I didn’t see anyone in the park. I entered the church. It turned out that everyone was concentrated here to pray. The church is still very distinctive. The whole scenic spot can feel the mixed architectural style of Chinese and Western. It’s not long to stop and disturb, and I hurriedly turned around and left.

Only got to see it from the gate. It was closed for the holiday, but would be open for Mass. Will have to come again on another visit to see the interior, but the outside looked really nice.

I looked forward to it before I went, of course the church was really nice. But after waiting outside for three or four hours, the main entrance of the church was not open. I could have entered the visit, opened a back door, and the lights were not turned on. Finally, I told me not to take pictures. I didn't have one person and didn't let me take pictures.

The Ping An Bridge Catholic Church is located on Xihuamen Street, Chengdu, adjacent to the Chengdu Housing Exchange Center. It is composed of cathedrals, chapels, library, bishops and other buildings. After a hundred years, despite the war and rain, the Ping An Bridge Catholic Church still retains its original style. The wooden pillars are still standing.
