White Cloud Mountain

I arrived at Baiyun Mountain at around 11 o'clock today and took the 28 bus to the terminal. There were not many people. But the Ice Spring Soy Milk Hall has been in a long queue. I took a look. There are more people in the store than outside. The scenic sightseeing car is lined up on the left hand side of the gate. A car can take about 12 people. If you go from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, adults and children are at the same price. One-way 12 yuan/person, about 15 minutes by car to buy 22 yuan together, and the foot of the mountain to Si'en Temple one-way 6 yuan/person. If you are in a hurry, it is recommended to take a car up the mountain, because there are several places that are still a bit steep, we walk down the mountain, 1 hour to the foot of the mountain. When I arrived on the mountain, I felt that I had nothing to play, so I went to the Xijiang Pearl Tower, which is equivalent to 22 floors high. I looked at the panoramic view of Zhangzhou Building. I knocked on the Zhuangyuan drum and came down. The tower was 30 yuan per adult, and the children were 10 yuan. Free below 1.2 meters. As a park that does not charge tickets, the construction is good, and it should be very comfortable and cool in summer, because I was in a hurry and didn't go to Si'en Temple.

Baiyun Mountain is a good place, climbing the mountain is good for summer. There is an ice spring soy milk restaurant under the mountain that is also more famous, which is a Zhangzhou net red store. The soy milk in the store has its own characteristics, and there are many small varieties. I prefer its sausage powder.

A good place to go for a leisurely mountain climbing exercise, no tickets, and it is very tired after climbing. The scenery is relatively ordinary, there is a phoenix fruit forest on the mountain, and the result should be very beautiful. A tall building was built on the top of the mountain, which is also very interesting.

Guangxi Zhangzhou also has Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, about 1 hour walk to the top of the mountain, battery sightseeing car one way 12 yuan.

Wuzhou was the two-hour lunch stop on a three-day bus trip from Guangzhou to a few places in the south of Guangxi province. We’d already ‘done’ Qilou Building (Trip.com Review) and had meandered back to our coach.When our tour guide announced, we were going to BayYun Mountain my wife became confused as her favourite park in Guangzhou is BaiYun Mountain. There can’t be two BaiYun’s she insisted, this one must be an imposter. Well, there are two and that’s that! This one was called Daling Mountain but for an unknown reason the name was changed to BaiYun.On the bus, our tour guide had suggested that we buy bus tickets at 20 Yuan each rather than attempt the 2-hour walk to the top. This turned out to the bargain of the trip as the walk is steep and there’s little to see.Anyway, once at the top there are still many steps to climb to reach the viewing pavilion. Of course, I had to climb as high as possible, my wife sensibly decided to save her legs for the following two days. At the top there were views of the river and the town. There’s a new viewing tower being built a kilometre or so away. I’d seen this on the bus on the way to Wuzhou and wondered what it was, now I knew. The tour guide reckoned it’ll be opened within a couple of months. After 30-minutes we decided we’d seen all there was to see and wended our way down the steps to the bus stop. A ten-minute ride saw us at the entrance gate with still an hour to spare. We investigated the area around the main gate. There’s a nice wall mural around the corner with a small shop opposite, and clean toilets are across the road. On-time our bus duly appeared, we all climbed aboard and departed to our hotel with my wife still insisting this BaiYun park was a fake and not a patch of the real one back in Guangzhou.
