Buried in our posts day after day, our interactions mostly revolve around work. Although we see each other and work together daily, we rarely have the opportunity to let loose and talk freely, leaving a subtle professional barrier between us. This team-building trip took us away from crowded tourist spots to the ancient village of Gupei on the banks of the Miluo River. We slowed down amidst the ancient charm of Chu culture, allowing each other to connect in the leisurely countryside. The village was founded in the Ming Dynasty. Our ancestors chose the Miluo River valley to build interconnected courtyard houses, with layers of blue brick walls extending outwards, and ancient cobblestone lanes crisscrossing. Ancient ancestral halls, old ponds, and century-old camphor trees stand quietly, carrying the traditions of farming and scholarship in the Miluo River basin and the legacy of Chu culture. Flat fields stretch around the village, and streams flow gently around the houses. There are no dense shops or large numbers of tourists, only the original, simple atmosphere of northern Hunan countryside. Upon arriving here, everyone shed the constraints of their professional identities, casting aside the seriousness and restraint of work, and embarking on a relaxed and carefree team journey. We strolled together along the alleyways and ancient paths by the water, exploring old buildings and clan relics in groups. We took fun photos together, chatted about life outside of work, and even the usually introverted gradually warmed up to the atmosphere. The usually composed senior members revealed their playful and relaxed side. When walking along the undulating country lanes, those with better stamina slowed down to wait for others, while attentive colleagues watched for slippery sections and reminded each other. No one hurried alone; everyone looked out for one another. In our free time, we stopped to listen to the villagers' stories of etiquette and learning, letting our guard down in the gentle breeze and beautiful scenery. The initial awkwardness dissipated with the breeze, and we saw each other's genuine warmth and humanity beyond work. We realized that a truly excellent team not only works collaboratively but also enjoys comfortable companionship in their free time. This journey through the ancient village was like a gentle bridge, bringing our hearts closer. Moving forward, we will carry this harmonious understanding, working together towards a brighter future.
