While everyone is crowding into Pingxiang's Wugong Mountain to grab tents for the sunrise, few people detour to this Yangshimu on the Ji'an side. It's on the same Wugong mountain range, with a ¥100 admission ticket, a cable car that goes straight to the summit, and a full range of features including a sea of clouds, unique peaks, and a glass skywalk. It's half as crowded and saves you the trouble of climbing in the middle of the night.

Yangshimu is located in Taishan Township, Anfu County, Ji'an. It is known as "the best of Wugong Mountain's scenery, all found in Yangshimu" and holds the reputation of being "China's Mountain of Fortune." Core attractions: The Lingyun Skywalk is an excellent spot for watching the sunset and taking photos; the Sun and Moon Peaks stand side by side like two people, often displaying the "sun and moon shining together" phenomenon; Shiyun Peak, at an altitude of 1,766 meters and a total height of 266 meters, is shrouded in clouds and mist on rainy days, resembling bamboo shoots after rain, and is also called the "Cloud-Piercing Stone Bamboo Shoot." There are also the Pan Tao (Flat Peach) Rock, the glass skywalk, and the hidden realm of Jinpai Mountain. One mountain offers views of ten thousand.

Yangshimu shares the same mountain range as Wugong Mountain and has historically been a famous mountain in western Jiangxi. The name "Yangshimu" carries an auspicious meaning, making it a place for praying for blessings and sightseeing. Anfu, where the scenic area is located, is known as the "Hometown of Camphor in China." The surrounding area is rich in Hakka and Luling culture, and the villages at the foot of the mountain still retain old ancestral halls and ancient paths.

The period after rain or when the weather clears up is the peak time for the sea of clouds; if you are lucky, you might catch the sea of clouds flowing over the mountain peaks. Entry stops at 3:30 PM, and the cable car only opens at 8:30 AM in winter, so plan your time well and don't arrive too late. The weather on the mountain is changeable, so bring a windbreaker and a raincoat; it is cool even in summer. It is windy on the glass skywalk and viewing platforms, so hold your phone and camera firmly. Choose the time after rain clears up if you want to see the sea of clouds; you are more likely to miss it on sunny days.

Hotels on the mountain, such as Jiufu Building, offer Hakka cuisine and Luling flavors. Bamboo fungus, dried bamboo shoots, and free-range chicken soup are specialties. At the foot of the mountain in Anfu County, you can eat Zhangshu Port chili peppers, Anfu ham, and rice noodles for a few dozen yuan per person. The spring water fish in Hot Spring Town is also worth a try.

There are four hotels in the scenic area: Jiufu Building, Wolong Pavilion, Xiangyun Pavilion, and Yangshimu Resort Hotel. Staying on the mountain is most convenient if you want to watch the sunrise and sea of clouds; book in advance during holidays. At the foot of the mountain, Rongyuan Hot Spring and Junlan Hot Spring Resort are available for soaking and relaxing, costing between ¥150 and over ¥300 per night.
