👧Antalya Nickelodeon hotel, Club Nick gives parents a break This time we stayed at the Land of Legends Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya). The biggest discovery was that family travel can actually let adults relax. 🎨 Club Nick kids club The hotel offers crafts, woodworking classes, slime making, dance parties, board games, and a bubble show. Kids don't want to come out and won't even spare a glance back. The club also schedules character meet-and-greets (Paw Patrol, SpongeBob, Dora, etc.), where kids can take photos and get hugs. The kids are overjoyed, and parents can finally breathe easy. ♾️ Unlimited park access It uses a Full Board+ (all meals and accommodation+) concept, and during your stay you can enter the adjacent Land of Legends theme park and water park for free as many times as you like. With large slides, children's splash areas, and a wave pool, the kids go wild and you don't have to worry about the next stop. 🍴 Dining services The main restaurant, Le Spatula, serves meals all day, offering everything from local Turkish flavors to international buffets. The hotel also has several specialty restaurants and bars, so there's always somewhere to eat and drink, and you can refuel whenever you're tired from activities. 💡 Perks for parents After leaving the kids in care, adults can go to Anjana Spa for a Turkish bath or a massage. The gym is open 24 hours, and there's free WiFi and parking. From morning to night there's somewhere for the kids to play, unlimited park access, and characters joining for meals. This family trip really let us adults relax.

Turkey's best city for a laid-back vacation, Antalya. — traveler post in Serik

Turkey's best city for a laid-back vacation, Antalya.

If you don't want to rush like a special forces soldier and just want a comfortable trip, the right way to enjoy Antalya is definitely: immersive relaxation + leisurely strolls through millennia-old ruins. 🏨 Stay at Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek I stayed at the Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek, an all-inclusive resort perfect for lazy travelers like me. Meals, shopping, golf, dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities are all included. The hotel itself is a destination. They say the density of ancient ruins in Antalya rivals that of Shanxi, and after visiting, I completely believe it. 🛕 Must-visit attractions in Antalya ❶ Side Ancient City Unlike typical ancient cities, Side has no city walls. It is a seaside ancient Roman site facing the Mediterranean. Broken stone columns and ancient stone walls stand by the blue sea, blending mountains, sea, and millennia-old ruins into one. ❷ Perge Ancient City A well-preserved ancient Roman site filled with stone columns and theaters, creating a strong atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. ❸ Kaleiçi Old Town + Roman Harbor Full of vintage European-style alleys, every snapshot captures the romantic old-town vibe of Turkey. The seaside is super relaxing. Walk through the old town to the harbor and take a boat ride to experience the romantic Mediterranean charm. ❹ Hadrian's Gate Antalya's iconic ancient Roman city gate, full of historical atmosphere, a classic landmark you can check off just by passing by. ❺ Land of Legends Theme Park The Turkish version of Disneyland, with many rides and beautiful scenery, perfect for relaxing and taking dreamy photos.

Turkey: The Crossroads of the World — traveler post in Serik

Turkey: The Crossroads of the World

The Crossroads of the World is breathtakingly beautiful—Turkey truly lives up to its reputation. Turkey's romance is not just hype; it's real. Just witnessing the hot air balloons rising over Cappadocia is worth the trip. Cappadocia has been listed among National Geographic's "Top 10 Wonders of the Earth." Lonely Planet once described it as: "The fairy chimneys here are majestic and uniquely shaped. The best way to explore is to wake up before dawn, ride a hot air balloon, and drift through imaginative dwellings and the jagged stone forest scenery." 🎈 Beyond the popular "moon-like fairy tale town," Turkey offers countless other stunning landscapes👇 Recommendation 1: Istanbul—Where Europe meets Asia, "The City of Cats" 🔸 Bosphorus Strait: Take a private yacht at sunset to enjoy city views, gaze at the seamless blend of sea and sky, and wait for the Maiden's Tower to be bathed in golden hues. 🔸 Hagia Sophia: A masterpiece of Byzantine architecture with nearly 1,500 years of history, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. 🔸 Blue Mosque: An Ottoman Empire marvel adorned with 20,000 Iznik blue tiles, featuring six minarets and a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Recommendation 2: Izmir—With 5,000 years of history, "The Pearl of the Aegean" 🔸 Ephesus Ancient City: Home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the Temple of Artemis, the largest open-air theater of antiquity, and the third-largest Roman library. Walking through feels like stepping back into the Roman Empire. Recommendation 3: Pamukkale and Hierapolis Ruins—A dual UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, "Turkey's Wonderland" 🔸 Pamukkale: A spa haven resembling "snowy cotton" or "glaciers" from afar, with pools reflecting the colors of the sky. 🔸 Hierapolis Ruins: Ancient Roman thermal pools atop the mountain, with 2,000-year-old ruins resting at the bottom. Recommendation 4: D400 Highway—"One of the World's Most Beautiful Roads," spanning the Aegean Sea, Turkey's "Dead Sea," and the Mediterranean, weaving through mountains and waves. Recommendation 5: Antalya—Turkey's "Mediterranean Jewel" 🔸 Aspendos Amphitheater: One of the best-preserved ancient Roman theaters, accommodating 7,000 people. Its impeccable acoustic design still makes it usable today. We've crafted an in-depth travel itinerary that won't leave you exhausted: 🇹🇷 September 13–26, 2025 (14 days, 11 nights) 👉 Three domestic flights to minimize long drives. 👉 Semi-loop route covering inland cities, mountains, the southern Aegean, and Mediterranean coasts—from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. 👉 Two consecutive nights at a Cappadocia cave hotel, featuring hardcore "off-road" jeep tours and hot air balloon rides. 👉 Two consecutive nights in Fethiye, with private beach and marina access for relaxing seaside moments. 👉 Witness the Whirling Dervishes, enjoy Roman thermal baths, and sail across Eurasia on a private yacht. What to See Near Antalya

📍 Ancient Aspendos and the Majestic Tazi Canyon If you're vacationing in Antalya and want to escape the city, combine stunning history and breathtaking nature into a single trip! These two locations complement each other perfectly. 🏛️ Location 1: The Ancient City of Aspendos Amphitheaters are in a league of their own! Legend has it that the city was founded after the Trojan War. In 333 BC, it passed from Persian to Alexander the Great’s control, and from the 2nd century BC, it was under Roman rule—this was when Aspendos truly flourished. Later, it was conquered by the Seljuks before eventually falling into decline. The main treasure here is the massive Roman theater, which is incredibly well-preserved! Its scale and architecture are simply mind-blowing. While some parts of the steps have been restored, it doesn't take away from the awe-inspiring experience. 📍 Location: Near the town of Serik. 🚗 Distance from Antalya: About 45–50 km. 🏞️ Location 2: Tazi Canyon (Tazı Kanyonu) The Köprüçay River gorge is a place you’ll fall in love with at first sight! On the way to the canyon, keep an eye out for the beautiful ancient Oluk Bridge. The drive itself is pure eye candy: majestic snow-capped mountains, charming villages, and mandarin groves. Once you arrive, the views are absolutely dizzying. If you have a drone, definitely bring it—the footage is legendary! 📍 Map Search: Tazi Kanyonu. 🚗 Distance from Antalya: About 105 km (best reached by rental car or as part of a tour). 🛣️ Road Conditions: The pavement is good, signs are clear, and GPS works perfectly. 💡 Tip: Combining both locations into a single day trip from Antalya is super easy! 📍 Tags / Locations: Aspendos Ancient City, Tazi Canyon, Antalya, Turkey

Aspendos Theatre

Aspendos Theater near Antalya is impressive. One of the largest Roman ampitheaters in the world. Easist way to get here is to just arrange a taxi to take you there and back and wait a couple of hours. I imagine it would be super busy in summer, but in winter it was near deserted. We had the place to ourselves.

Perge Ancient City

I don't know which illiterate person translated Perge as "佩尔盖"! Fucks, Turks don't understand, Europeans don't understand! A 3500-year-old ancient site, an authentic ruin! The entire city-state is incredibly well-organized! The main city's residential area, the adjacent sports field, and the amphitheater further away—each has its function, with towering round stone columns and archways! Exquisite stone carvings and murals, simply perfect! Absolutely stunning from a geometric and aesthetic perspective! The indentations in the stone slabs on the ground show signs of long-term activity! By the way, I also picked a bunch of cactus fruits nearby 😀

Fire of Anatolia at Gloria Aspendos Arena

A high-quality dance show with a story. Watching it in an ancient amphitheater really adds to the experience. Be sure to bring something to sit on. Otherwise, it's a bit tight. It turns out not all the seats are available; there are some VIP seats with a better view, but it's unclear how to purchase them.
