Hundreds of years ago, some Polynesians drifted to Chile's Easter Island. After landing on the island, people turned their boats upside down and gathered under them to escape the storm. Later, unarmed people used stone tools to chisel stones to build some low bass along the coast (Fig. 6, 7) as a dwelling place, and take the accumulated water from the crater (Fig. 8) as drinking water. Later they became the most primitive inhabitants of Easter Island. After being trafficked, enslaved, plagued and slaughtered, there were only 111 Polynesians left. Today, the islanders live and work in peace and contentment and have grown to 2,000. We traveled around the island in the rain, and we also lamented the frustrations of the original residents of Easter Island.
Now the whole Easter Island can be understood as a national park. After getting off the plane, there are tickets for the park at the entrance to the airport. The price seems to be 54,000 pesos. However, there are not many places for checking tickets in the park. Birdman Village and Akihu Poplar can only go once, whereas other places can be visited casually, but we only go once. The whole island still feels like a tropical island, so we should do a good job of sun protection. There are some stray dogs on the island. They are basically friendly. There are only two on the island. Jimny has 50,000 hands a day.
Lapanui National Park is basically the whole Easter Island, which is Chile's most famous national park. It takes at least three days to visit the island. There are so many scenic spots, such as mysterious stone statues, seaside caves and vast lawns, that visitors will never forget to return.
This is the highlight of the Easter Island trip. On the coast, the most complete image of Rapa Nui does awe you. We rented a car so that we could see every stone statue freely at our speed. I'm glad we did that. Some places are definitely worth a little more time.
Rapanui is Easter Island. Rapanui is the name of the local people. The Polynesians built a social civilization in the park about three hundred years ago, which was not influenced by the outside world. This civilization probably built temples and huge stone statues between the tenth and sixteenth centuries, called Moai.
La Panui National Park is the most famous scenic spot on Easter Island, and the tickets are quite expensive. The tickets for the two scenic spots are about 300 RMB, but they are also worth the money. The scenery is very beautiful, and the stone statues really make people have to shake the nature.
