Photos of Five Officials Temple

Five Officials' Temple is located in Haikou's urban district. It is a cultural relic and monument to the culture of ancient Chinese eunuchs, to Hainanese history and culture and to traditional architecture with Hainanese characteristics. The temple was built to commemorate five famous historical figures from the Tang and Song Dynasties who were banished to Hainan Island. The most famous building at the center of Five Officials' Temple is a two-story structure built entirely out of redwood with green roof tiles. Surrounded by lush tropical greenery, it is an extremely solemn and beautiful sight.
