Jinan Fuxue Confucian Temple is adjacent to Daming Lake in the north and close to the old city streets such as Furong Street. It was repaired many times in the Qing Dynasty, and the scale and architectural layout of the Confucian Temple in the Ming Dynasty were basically maintained. According to research, Jinan Fuxue Confucian Temple was built earlier than Qufu Confucian Temple in Shandong, Pingxiang Confucian Temple in Jiangxi, Nanjing Liuhe Confucian Temple and Suzhou Confucian Temple. From south to north, the main buildings of Jinan Fuxue Confucian Temple are the South Gate, the Moderate Pavilion, the Lingxing Gate, the Big and Small Panchi, the Screen Gate, the Halberd Gate (commonly known as the Dacheng Gate), the Dacheng Hall, the East-West Corridor, the Minglun Hall, and the Zun Jingge, etc. On the inner side of the South Gate, there are two "moderately regulated pavilions", which are arranged in east and west. The entire Jinan Fuxue Confucian Temple is not like the Confucian Temples in other places, which is oriented to the south and the north, but is curved, which is relatively rare in the Confucian Temple, which may be related to the geographical environment when the Confucian Temple was first built.
