The Trinity Church is located on Wall Street, surrounded by high-rise buildings. The appearance of this building is very much unlike the rest of Wall Street, nor does it match that modern, time-sensitive and bustling ambiance at Wall Street. However it does not stand out as a sore sight at all. What is extremely interesting is that this church was very close to the original World Trade Center. However, during the 9/11 attack, this church did not suffer as little as one broken pane of glass. The Trinity Church is known as an important piece of work and the first of the Gothic Revival style in the United States. Construction was completed in the year 1846 and it was the highest building in New York at the time. The refined copper sculptures on the Cathedral’s front doors really caught my eye. The grand hall is all golden and extravagant. Outside the church, artists used tree roots to carve and made a sculpture, symbolic of the idea of fighting against a common external enemy. There is a small garden inside the church and you’ll be treated to different sights during different seasons. While concrete buildings surround this area, you’ll be treated to a visual treasure here. There is also a small cemetery here. You’ll feel peaceful and calm here.
