Abbotsford Convent Review

Down from Collingwood train station, go east to the Yarra River, and walk along the river for ten minutes to this quiet and interesting place. It was a church asset and now resembles a creative park, including a small farm, and the old religious buildings now have restaurants and artists' studios, which are very distinctive.

The Abbey of Albertsburg was once a place where priests had lived for more than 100 years. Now, it has become an occasion for local people to gather together to eat, drink, shop and experience life and art.

Very beautiful monastery, very well preserved, can also feel the artistic atmosphere of the past.

The monastery, which looks like it's not so good, retains monuments inside.

Melbourne herself often comes to see an open-air movie or a picnic at the convent of Albertsburg on weekends.
