Photos of Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall

The Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall is one of Zhongshan City's most famous attractions and a national key-level cultural relic protection unit. Sun Yat-Sen was born here in 1866. The four large golden Chinese characters Tian Xia Wei Gong (The world is equally shared by all) are one of the first things tourists see upon arrival and among the most photographed. The memorial hall is oriented on an east-west axis. Using Sun Yat-Sen's former residence in Cuiheng Village as the core building, it has become a public museum. The memorial hall does not merely exist to teach history and patriotism but also to give people a good understanding of the life and times of Sun Yat-Sen.
