This is my second time staying here. Previously, I had just stayed overnight, thinking, ”I'll just stay somewhere nearby for a weekend,” without any prior research or information. At the time, I was impressed by the beautiful inn and the delicious food. Since then, I have tried to make a reservation several times, but it was difficult. After two years, I was able to reserve a room during the long-awaited ”firefly season,” and visited. Although the peak season had passed, the rain stopped in the evening, and I was able to watch the fireflies by the river. The food was very delicious, and there was no unnecessary service, so it was a very reasonable and cost-effective hotel. I would definitely like to stay again in a different season.
I was the only one who used the whole hotel that day. The experience of one person is really superb. At night, the manager's grandfather didn't seem to live in the hotel but went straight home. There is no toilet and bathroom in the room, and there is a shared one in the hotel.
Cool stay at a monastery in Koyasan! As far as I understand, Shojoshin-in is one of the larger temple lodgings in Koyasan. Our room had an amazing view (koi pond and forest) from the tea room. All our basic needs are met including amenities. They served authentic Japanese vegan meals; I particularly enjoyed the dinner as it had a large variety of small dishes. Keep in mind this is Japanese style lodging, where you have a shared bath with other guests.
At Comfort Hotel Kii Tanabe, exceptional service and top-notch amenities create a memorable experience for guests. Continuously receive the support you require through front desk amenities such as luggage storage. At the hotel, utilize the convenient laundromat to maintain your preferred travel attire fresh, allowing you to pack lighter. Due to health concerns, smoking is strictly prohibited within the entire premises of hotel.Accommodations come equipped with all the conveniences required for a restful night's slumber. In certain chosen rooms, a refrigerator is conveniently available for your use. At Comfort Hotel Kii Tanabe, select bathrooms are equipped with a hair dryer to enhance your comfort during your stay. At Comfort Hotel Kii Tanabe, each day commences with a scrumptious breakfast offered at no additional cost.
The Chinese boss and the little girl at the front desk were also Chinese and provided us with very good service. They drove to the station and saw that we were still waiting for the bus, and gave us a ride to the fish market. They also helped us check out delicious places in the evening, allowing us to stay in a foreign land. I feel warm and the service is great!
The hotel is on the beach, and the family room has 4 single beds, which is very good. The convenience store is right opposite. There was no breakfast available during the time we went, so it was very convenient to buy something to eat! There is a large local Japanese supermarket Gourmet City within 50 meters, where you can buy fireworks. The freedom of fireworks on the beach at night is a great happiness for children in the city! The roast pork shop run by an old lady next door is a treasure shop, with good value for money and good taste. There is no need to queue up to join in the fun. Like it, I will come again next time!
This hotel is a self-checkin, the hotel will send the checkin code through Trip.com message, and follow the screen prompt. It is about 150 meters from the bus station, very beautiful and quiet, and the bakery downstairs is very delicious. The room is small and the balcony is very good. Baibin coastal attractions are very convenient to take the bus or walk. The hotel can walk to the three walls and thousands of layers within 1km. The bus can go to the white beach attractions. The public kitchen downstairs can be used for pure water, and there can also be a microwave oven.
Good breakfast!
The lighting in the room was a little dim, so I asked the front desk to fix it and bring an extra lamp. There were also many supplies that I could use~ It was very convenient, as it was right next to the Mail, and it was also very close to the train station and the airport~ There was a recurring smell of cigarettes, so I asked the front desk to fix it and they did it the next day. Afterwards, I slept better, and the windows could be opened, which was quite good for getting some fresh air~ But the room felt a little old!
Just across from Kiyoshiura jr, you need to cross the street flyover. Next to the jr station is the Kiyoshiura bus station. It is less than 5 minutes from the hotel to the bus station. The location is particularly convenient. The breakfast is very rich, Japanese style, grilled fish, rice, miso soup, side dishes. It is also very close to the sea. A 30-minute drive from Kiyoshiura to Nachi. The accommodation is very clean, there is no separate bathroom, but there is a separate sink, which is also convenient. The boss is very good!
The rooms are on the 2nd to 4th floors, there is no elevator and no reception staff. You can get the key password from your mailbox. There is no room cleaning, no sanitary facilities in the room, the toilet lock is shared by all floors, there is a large bathroom on the ground floor, no one was there, and I didn't go to take a shower.

GGuest UserThe room is very general, it is the worst I have ever lived, that is, cheap, but the health is not flattering, and the check-in is not smooth, I have a front desk when I arrive at the store, but I don’t give it to me. I have to handle it by email. I can’t handle it on Android mobile phones. Then the front desk secretly disappeared and did not appear. I could not handle it. In the end, Trip.com could not solve it in the middle of the night, but recommended to me a Chinese to help me handle it successfully. I only lived in. I could go to see the sunset and see the fire. I was affected and very angry.
GGuest UserWe stayed in this lovely family hotel for a night, we opted for room stay with dinner and breakfast. There's no shops or restaurant near by, so highly suggest to choose the stay with meals option, otherwise there's cooking facility within the room also, so I think it's possible to cook your own meal if necessary.
Location - the hotel is just round the corner of the famous Shirasaki Ocean Park, we even had a good view of the park from our room. There's parking space right in front of the hotel building, so it's very handy. We cycled to the Shirasaki Ocean Park then to the hotel, so it worked out perfect. There's a very steep slop going up to the hotel though, but it wasn't an issue for us as we pushed out bikes up.
Facilities - this is a family run hotel which believes was built a while ago, so can't compare it to all those new built hotels. The ”room” we stayed is more like a mini flat, it has a big kitchen, good sized bathroom with changing area, a separate toilet, a living room, bedroom and an extra ”sitting” area. The entire flat is in traditional Japanese style which we loved, and it has all facilities that made our stay comfortable. It also has coined washing machine and driers. We could even access to rooftop on the 4th floor to view the sunset. If you're looking for a quiet place to have quality time, then this is a good place to do so. There's also ”public bath” within the hotel, it's small but wasn't an issue for us. There's also shower and bath in the room also if you want some privacy.
Food - all food was cooked and prepared by the hotel owner, and she's a talented chef! Dinner was impressive, breakfast was standard.
The hotel owner is very friendly and lovely, it's definitely ”the place” to stay if you're visiting the area. We highly recommend it.
GGuest UserKind of annex of the sister hotel next door. In the annex is an onsen, washing machine and dryer (free to use), vending machines with beer and drinks and noodles. Room is basic. I had a great view on the river. Small balcony, but dirty and no chair. The annex is okay to stay if you are hiking.
The best thing is the sister hotel. A great onsen with outdoor bath. Nice souvenir shop with a bit more food. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
They also provide bus services (bring and pickup to Hongu Taisha, the other onsen places, the trailhead busstop) which you can use! Just call them if you want to be picked up.
I did not realize Kawayu Onsen is a very small place with NO supermarket. If you did not book breakfast (served at the sister) bring your own into town or eat instant noodles.
There are 2 small restaurants with delicious local food.
GGuest User200 meters from the three walls, the room is more spacious, Wifi is fast
Relatively shabby, nothing around
Suitable for evening, early departure
VVictorLocation 10/10:
in close proximity to the railway station, bus station convenience store. They have parking spaces, for cars and bikes. also kind of close to the town center, where the restaurants are and the store are.
Staff 10/10:
friendly and welcoming, tried their best to explain the how things works.
facilities
Basic facilities, toilets are abundant, clean. Sinks are clean.
individual room, with AC, and TV, there's a drying wire in the room, where you can pull out a nylon wire to the other side of the wall and hang your towels or clothing.
there's an actual onsen, very cool, although, in my opinion, it closes fairly early, travellers should plan ahead when they want to try it out.
GGuest UserGreat experience in a temple in the heart of Koyasan. The rules of life within the temple are to be taken into consideration for the traveler tempted by this type of accommodation. In particular, access closes at 9.00 in the evening and no shower possible in the morning or after 21.00.
VVictorLocation 8/10:
close to the JR station where the buses are as well.
close to a convenient store where you can buy all your necessities.
for those who wants to take a taxi, there's one station nearby.
Restaurants are a little too far, the closest sento is a little too far.
Staff 8/10:
mostly self services, teas and water and other stuff near the check in counter. they have staff to clean your beds for your, if you wish (open or close the door to your bed in the morning).
facilities 5/5:
Shower, sinks, and toilets are very clean. They provide the towels for every night you stay there.
IIsaac HuskyNothing impressive, small and dark. Okay for a single guy , not sure about ladies. Close to Wakayama-Shi station, so getting around is easy.
Rooms have no view, just looking at pipes dripping water. Room smells of smoke. Toilets are hard to get into as they are ‘caravan size’ toilets and showers. The bath tub is very high, not ideal for elderly folks as the showers are installed within. They do have a ioniser and demister in the room to get rid of bad air and foul smoke smell but not very effective. If you plan to spend most of the day out, it’s ideal.
JJimJunLouThe rooms are on the 2nd to 4th floors, there is no elevator and no reception staff. You can get the key password from your mailbox. GGuest User#Praise#For mosquito control measures, hotel smell, bedding comfort, location, toiletries, room lighting satisfaction; I like this hotel so much! It is also an ideal hotel! The so-called ideal is that every aspect is very practical! Although there is no breakfast, there is a refrigerator microwave in the room. It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. Lightning avoidance and mentioning that this store has no elevator, large boxes of passengers should be cautious.
