Arrived at the hotel at 11 AM and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, helping us check in early and even upgrading us to a business room. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was very efficient, with distinct areas for the bathroom, sleeping, and a small living space. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The hotel's location is super convenient for transport. It's right next to the Sands Hotel, and just a short walk to catch a bus from Sands directly to The Venetian, The Londoner, and The Parisian. Lotus Square is right next to the hotel, and behind it is Macau Polytechnic University. If you want to visit the Ruins of St. Paul's, it's about a twenty-minute walk. Fisherman's Wharf is directly opposite the hotel, and there's a bus stop right on the side of the hotel, making getting around incredibly easy. For this price, given the location and the hotel's quality, I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Macau.
This retro-themed hotel offers a great experience. You can see the Ruins of St. Paul's from the 10th-floor rooftop, and the Senado Square fountain is right downstairs. The staff are warm and friendly. Next time I'm in Macau, I'll definitely stay at the New Central again!
Complimentary minibar (once per stay): See the last four attached photos.
The hotel is very close to the Jockey Club MTR station, which has a direct link to the airport, making transportation super convenient. It's also easy to get to the Venetian and Galaxy resorts, as well as the A-Ma Temple on the Macau Peninsula.
The rooms are clean and offer good value for money.
Downstairs, there's a local community area with plenty of amenities, giving it a lively, authentic feel. The restaurants nearby are also quite good.
Every time we renew our child's passport, we stay here. It's super convenient for getting things done, there are lots of food options nearby, and it's easy to get to the border crossing. Plus, the hotel offers shuttle service. Oh, and the egg tarts in the lobby are absolutely delicious!
For my trip to Macau, Trip.com recommended the Holiday Inn. Upon arrival, I found the hotel conveniently located on Beijing Street. The front desk staff and lobby manager were all very attentive and welcoming, truly reflecting the high standard of service you'd expect in a tourist city. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, clean, and well-designed, and the room service is excellent. During my stay, I reported some noise from the surroundings, and it was addressed promptly. I was very satisfied with their quick response.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, with cultural landmarks such as the Lotus Square, Dr. Ho Yin Park, Macau Polytechnic University, and Beijing Tong Ren Tang all nearby, offering plenty of options for exploration.
I chose to stay here specifically for the full L'Occitane amenities. The deluxe twin room was incredibly spacious, almost like a small apartment. It's a shame that for two people, we only received one complimentary set of amenities. The room decor had warm tones, making the overall atmosphere very cozy, and the bed was comfortable. One minor flaw I noticed was that the curtains felt a bit coarse and dated. After experiencing the incredibly thoughtful service of five-star hotels, the service here felt noticeably less impressive.
There are some complementary shops downstairs in the hotel, which are good for a quick browse and bite. The lack of entertainment facilities might be the hotel's biggest 'feature.' If you're looking for good value for money, this place is definitely a solid choice. It's right next to Grand Lisboa Palace, and you can easily take a car there. I didn't find it inconvenient at all. The area isn't that big. To get to central areas like The Venetian, a taxi ride would just be slightly more than the starting fare.
Stayed in a twin room with a friend. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had great water pressure with instant hot water. Consumables were refilled daily, and the staff were very friendly. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and a park nearby. It's also not far from Wynn and Grand Lisboa, making evening strolls along the waterfront very convenient. You can catch a bus nearby to Taipa. Very satisfied! I'll definitely choose Rio Hotel again next time I visit Macau!
Located right next to Hotel Royal, this place is surrounded by lots of great food options. It's also not a far walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's, and there are convenient stores and a supermarket nearby for easy shopping. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. The breakfast is a real highlight – it's plentiful, has a wide variety of dishes, and tastes delicious! The free shuttle service to the border gate is super convenient. The only downside is that the air conditioning is quite loud at night, which can be disruptive. I hope they can improve that!
The hygiene is good, and the sea-view breakfast environment is pleasant. It's convenient to get there by taking the Galaxy Shuttle and crossing the skybridge after getting off. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to The Venetian, but it only runs a few times a day. The facilities are a bit old, especially the hairdryer. A deposit of 500 MOP is required, payable only by Alipay or cash, WeChat is not accepted. The service is decent; I didn't have a power adapter for charging, and they sent one up immediately.
The location is a bit out of the way, on the southernmost tip of Taipa. Since it doesn't have a casino, there aren't many shuttle buses. If you want to catch a free shuttle, you have to walk ten minutes to the Grand Lisboa Palace next door. The upside is that it's relatively quiet, and there are shopping malls and activities like ziplining nearby.
Checking in, we really encountered a 'gem' of a person. The hotel has a large main reception and a small side desk. Being unfamiliar with the layout, we mistakenly went to the small desk. The 'gem' saw us with our daughter and asked if we smoked. I said no. Then this 'kind' gentleman 'graciously' gave us a room on the fourth floor, even mentioning it was a non-smoking floor. Does this hotel have many smoking floors, I wonder?
Upon entering the room and opening the window, I was truly shocked. Having stayed in countless hotels, I've rarely seen a view like this. A row of massive pipes made me feel like I was on the rooftop of some factory. Dragging our suitcases back down to the main reception to express our dissatisfaction, we waited for ages again before they finally switched us to a different room. The room facilities were just so-so.
Breakfast was decent, located in the connected shopping mall, with a few options to choose from.
