3-Star Hotels in Hong Kong, China

I was really lucky to find such a good value-for-money room in Hong Kong. I mainly learned about it from the positive reviews, which mentioned the large, clean rooms, excellent front desk service, and full amenities. The soundproofing was great; even though it faced the street, the area was quiet with minimal traffic. There's a small shopping mall nearby for food, drinks, and shopping, and it's close to the MTR station, about 600 meters away, making it easy to find.

I was really skeptical about staying at this budget hotel but it surpassed expectations. This was a booking made at the last minute as the other hotels we usually stay at were very very expensive on that particular night. Be prepared for really tiny rooms and a miniscule bathroom. Between the room door and the bed there was no space to lay down and open a standard 24” suitcase. Had to place my suitcase on the bed to be able to open it. If I stretched my arms out at 90 degrees I could touch both walls of the bathroom - it's a tiny square with just enough space to stand in one place and shower with the toilet and sink right in front of your body. The shower head was actually placed right above the toilet which was a first for me but if you are not too fussy it's manageable. You don't get any bath, face or hand towels - it's all one time use disposable stuff made from non-woven fibers - again a first for me in a hotel. But having said that it was still decent value for money. I paid less than half of what I would have paid at one of the hotels I regularly stay at. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. When I returned to collect my bag they just looked up and pointed straight at my bag amongst a pile of suitcases without any luggage ticket. Location is outstanding - in the heart of TST with the MTR station just across the road - very very convenient.

This is my third time staying at 1331. It's super convenient for K-pop fans like me – I can just crash after a concert. This place seems to be newly opened, and the experience was fantastic! The facilities are complete, and the attention to detail is impressive; you can tell they've put a lot of heart into running it. For Hong Kong, this space is practically a 'mansion' lol. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose Harbour One again the next time my idol has a concert here.

Facilities: The facilities are very new. The room comes with an adapter and a mini-fridge, which was great to come back to after a day out. There's also a gym in the building. Service: The service was excellent; they proactively recommended nearby attractions. Environment: It's very close to the MTR station, right out of the Sham Shui Po B2 exit, a straight walk to the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, you can use the elevator at exit B, which is very convenient. The top floor has a terrace, and the hotel is quite tall, higher than surrounding buildings, so the view is good.

Exceeded all expectations! Absolutely amazing! I had no idea what this hotel was, but I wanted to stay in Sheung Wan this time. I saw it was part of the Accor group and the price was excellent, so I booked it! As soon as I arrived, I was impressed. The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor, accessible by multiple elevators. Just make sure to check which floors each elevator serves before choosing. Since I arrived quite a bit before check-in, and my booking requested a high-floor, non-smoking, city-view room away from the elevators, the front desk gentleman, Mr. Wong Tze Ho (I think that was his name, I didn't get a clear look, but he had a haircut like the 7-Up mascot!), very kindly asked if I'd mind a room with red-tinted windows if it meant I could check in immediately and still meet my other requests. I was 100% fine with it, knowing I could just close the curtains if it bothered me. When I entered the room, I was stunned! The front desk had upgraded me to a sea view room – a super, unobstructed sea view, not just a sliver between buildings! This kind of sea view would cost millions! Have you ever seen a red-tinted, filtered sea view? If black and white is okay, why not red! The bathroom was also very spacious, and the bed was a good size. The hotel has a restaurant on the 5th floor, and downstairs there's a Starbucks and an illy. Turn left and go upstairs, and you'll find a cooked food market. A 24-hour 7-Eleven and Liu An Ju are just two minutes away. Right outside the hotel to the left is an eastbound tram stop, making it convenient for taking the Star Ferry and exploring K11 or IFC. If you turn right from the hotel, you'll find Quan Kee, Mak's Noodle (Wonton Noodle), Hang Heung Cake Shop, Thai restaurants, Mui Fung dried plums, Chan Yee Jai, and Wellington Street – basically, just explore Sheung Wan at your leisure, you'll never go hungry! However, definitely avoid that Yakiniku restaurant, it's terrible. A taxi to Central is just the base fare. There's even a small public park behind the hotel! All this hotel has to offer, and it only costs a few hundred dollars! What more could you ask for?! And the hotel was so incredibly clean!!!! A taxi to West Kowloon is less than 130 HKD. Taxis in Hong Kong now accept Alipay, with automatic currency conversion – just remember to ask the driver for a receipt. When you visit Hong Kong, please, please stay at the Ibis Sheung Wan! Highly recommend 💜

Everything about this place is great! The location is right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, and it's only a 10-minute walk to Victoria Harbour. The room is spacious, and it even has a fridge and a safe. My only minor complaint is that if you pay the deposit by credit card, it takes 15-30 days to get it back. I'd recommend paying with RMB or HKD instead. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again.

Apologies for the super late review, over a month late – I completely forgot… First, the conclusion: This place offers amazing value for money, but if you're going to a concert, you absolutely need to leave early. I stayed for three days and never once managed to get on their free shuttle bus. It comes from another hostel, and whenever I needed it, it was always full – no chance of getting on… In the end, I walked for half an hour to catch the public bus every time. The room itself was fine; very comfortable for one person. However, since it's a prefab structure, there's zero soundproofing. You can hear kids crying from the next building throughout the entire complex. If you're a light sleeper, this could be quite annoying, but I was fine – I was so exhausted after showering that I just passed out, haha! Oh, and I have to praise the power strip! The one provided in the room was compatible with mainland plugs, so I didn't need to bring my own adapter, which was fantastic!

Worth staying again! Despite its traditional-sounding name, this hotel is actually newly renovated with a modern style. The location is superb; it's just a 20-meter walk from Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit B2, practically a seamless connection. The room design is minimalist and well-laid-out. While the room itself isn't huge, the bathroom is surprisingly spacious and spotless, with accessible facilities throughout, making it smooth and convenient to use – truly a pleasant experience. They offer a variety of charging ports, including USB and Type-C, which means you only need one cable and can skip the adapter, very user-friendly. The front desk staff were lovely; before I left, they very carefully showed me the way to the airport bus stop, which is only a three or four-minute walk and easy to find. The bus takes you directly to the airport for just over 30 HKD. Downstairs, there's a café for meals, and plenty of other popular 'Instagrammable' cha chaan tengs nearby. An unexpected bonus was discovering that from Exit B2, you can walk through an underground passage, find an elevator between Exits N and P, and take it straight up to the Victoria Harbour viewing platform! All in all, for Hong Kong, this hotel offers excellent value for money and a fantastic stay experience. I will definitely choose it again if I come back to Hong Kong.

First time booking this hotel, and I chose it based on the great reviews. It truly lives up to the hype! The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and plenty of amenities nearby. The front desk lady was incredibly helpful and provided wonderful service (even accommodating the elderly). The room was clean and tidy, with charging outlets and a well-equipped bathroom. I was very satisfied with the hotel's service. I'd love to stay here again next time. It's very convenient for getting around, with buses 1, 101, and 111 right outside the hotel entrance. The bus fare is only 7.70 yuan, making it an affordable and convenient way to travel.
