Jiuquan Museum

Jiuquan Museum has a variety of collections of 4,508 (set). Of which 2,516 cultural relics (set), mainly: portrait bricks, bronzeware, pottery, porcelain, stoneware, stone carvings, bricks, stamped marks, coins, specimen fossils, etc. Damei Jiuquan: The relief of the preface hall uses granite materials, comprehensive sculpture and painting technical skills, according to the spatial composition layout of the upper north and lower south, taking the ancient Silk Road in Jiuquan as the vein, and focusing on the representative places of interest, natural scenery, National customs, and "two flying days, new and old two energy". Jiuquan: Jiuquan exhibition hall mainly displays the achievements of Jiuquan City in recent years in politics, economy, agriculture, new industry, modern service industry, cultural tourism, ecology, and people's livelihood protection. Kaijiang Tuotu: Kaijiang Tuotu Exhibition Hall mainly introduces the style of Jiuquan in the Dahan period. Taking the theme of two historical events related to Jiuquan as the theme, one is the famous "Lie four counties according to two customs", the Western Han Yuan hunting for two years (121 BC), Han Wu Emperor sent General Huo Qi to go sick twice to attack Hexi, defeated the Hunnu, recovered Hexi, and set Jiuquan County and Wuwei County. Ten years later (111 BC), Dunhuang County, Zhangye County, and Yangguan, Yumenguan were set up; the second was Zhangye's mission to the west, opened a Silk Road between ancient Chang'an and Rome, and Jiuquan became its must-pass place. Melting World: Metted World Exhibition Hall mainly shows the development and changes of Jiuquan from Wei Jin to Song and Yuan Dynasties, the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road and the art of Dunhuang Grottoes. Biansai Newborn: Biansai Newborn Exhibition Hall displays three parts: First, the new appearance of the ancient city, Jiuquan since the peaceful liberation of September 25, 1949, the changes in social, economic, people's life and other aspects. Second, the spirit of iron people, the development of Yumen Oilfield. Third, the establishment and development of the space industry and Jiuquan satellite launch base.

Jiuquan was one of the four counties in the Silk Road in the Han Dynasty. The city has a long history and a lot of historical monuments. Now it is an important space city. Therefore, you must go to the museum to visit Jiuquan. Now the museum only has a second-floor pavilion open. Although the area is small, the setting is reasonable and the content is complete. From the era of dinosaurs to the primitive society, to the various dynasties, to the modernity, the introduction of the development history of Jiuquan is more detailed, especially the modern development of Jiuquan districts and counties. Enough to cheer.

Jiuquan Museum is located at No. 18 Huanxuan West Road, Suzhou District. It is a large-scale modern building with a square appearance, mainly for the historical introduction of Jiuquan and the display of relief works.

I went in June to understand the history style and it was very interesting for a history lover like me. I checked a lot of historical materials before I went, read a lot of explanations, and I have a general understanding, but it is not as good as personal appreciation.

We all know that Jiuquan has achieved the first satellite launch center in China, but for safety reasons, Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center is actually placed in a more widely sparsely weak water downstream, that is, in Juyan area, but the guarantee base of the launch site is no longer Juyan City. But the oasis of Jiuquan, because the weak downstream Juyanze disappeared forever in the last century.

When the Hexi Corridor was all taken into the territory of the Han Empire, Li Ling went out of Jiuquan again, and attacked the Hunnu in the north of Juyan. He was finally captured because of his invincibility and defeat.
