Le Jardin des Deux Rives

This is a cross-border garden on the border between Germany and France, a symbol of the friendship between France and Germany. Its prototype is an old racecourse in France in the 20th century. The idea of a cross-border park was proposed earlier in 1995 and was jointly constructed by the two countries. The current Transfrontier Park covers an area of 150 hectares along the Rhine. The important meeting of the 2009 NATO summit was held here. Usually, the park also hosts flower shows, concerts, dances and street performances. People from Germany and France can participate together. It is also a place for relaxation and family outings.
