Taiping Lake Gardens is home to the gigantic Rain Trees, the trees appears to be bending to water of the lake. Taiping Lake GardensTaiping Lake Gardens was the first public recreation park established in Malaysia and today it remains one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Magnificent rain trees, many over 100 years old, line the lake along Jalan Pekeling, with giant branches extending over the water and providing shade and a peaceful ambience for walkers. The gardens comprise West Lake, South Lake, Jungle Lake and a number of smaller lakes, ponds and islands linked by footpaths and decorative bridges. At night some of the bridges are colourfully illuminated. Riding Paddle Boat in Taiping Lake Gardens#2023travelwish I love these Swan bicycle-like eco-friendly watercrafts. It was such a fabulous experience riding the paddle boat around Taiping Lake. We went in the evening, the weather was nice and windy. Quite a number of people queuing, we had to put on a life jacket for safety reasons. The line moved fast though. We cycled to the centre of the lake, there was a small island with a lot of birds nested on it. The surrounding nature was serene, it was relaxing and peaceful. When we were tired, we just left the boat floating with the wind. This place is truly magnificent. It's the most beautiful lake garden I have ever been to in Malaysia. Next year I wish to travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. Century-old Raintrees Walk#2023travelwish We had a wonderful walk in Taiping Lake Gardens admiring the beautiful century-old raintrees. The large trunks of trees growing towards the lake, just like a Ballerina bending her body, so gracefully. I saw the local authority helping to install some metal legs to support the trunks from falling. Hopefully the raintrees stay strong. Many locals are cycling, jogging, and exercising in this lovely serene place. The Pagoda Cina was stunningly beautiful at night. Must try the Milo drink sold by a vendor in the park, it's so good. Plenty of parking here, no hassle, and it's free. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature walks. Next year I wish to travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. Taiping - so called Raintown with Rain TreeThis will be a short tip, but with a few (hopefully) pretty pictures. If you’re in Taiping, do take time out to visit the lake garden Taiping and attached park. From historical wise, it was established in the 1880s, and was apparently the first public garden in what is now Malaysia. Rain tree walk is the main attraction in Taiping Lake Garden. There is a slanted tree fell on the road and still alive, beautifully. 🌳 It’s really beautiful, with the sun rising over the mountains to the east, the jungle-lite flora, and the wildlife. The Raintree WalkA beautiful park with breathtaking scenery here at The Raintree Walk, Taiping, Perak. As we arrived, there were already a lot of people mainly with families spending their weekend here. The weather was good thus it’s so relaxing to enjoy the walk in the park. There’s cycling activities here where you can rent a few types of bike to cycle around the park. Every spot here is definitely instagrammable worth. If you would walk a bit further, you can enjoy a boatride at the lake. Overall, it was worth spending our weekend here after a tiring work-week. To enjoy a relaxing and calming weekend is never wrong.appleamisha956
