I chose this hotel on Ctrip, and it's quite typical, having the advantages of a guesthouse with a few minor flaws. First off, its location is excellent, very convenient for getting around (though Furong Ancient Town isn't very big to begin with). My room opened into a small courtyard, and from the window, I had a panoramic view of the Youyang River and its scenery. The owner was also very kind, offering transfers to and from the high-speed rail station. Breakfast was a bit lacking (typical for guesthouses), but the minced pork noodles the auntie made were quite tasty. The air conditioning's heating worked well, though it was slow to start up. When you leave and pull the card, the power cuts off, so it takes a while for it to kick back in when you return, and it's a bit noisy. The shower's hot and cold water control wasn't very precise; a slight turn made it scalding, and a bit more made it cold.
Overall, this guesthouse is very good. It's clean, and the room's bedding had no strange smells whatsoever. The facilities have a few minor imperfections, but they don't affect the overall stay experience. I would choose it again on my next visit.

The pros: The hotel's scenic map is excellent, and the route recommended by the short-haired staff at the front desk was very reasonable. The bedding was also fantastic, super comfortable to sleep in. The location is great, right next to Baofeng Lake, and about a 15-minute taxi ride from Huanglong Cave. If it's foggy and unsuitable for going up the mountains, there are alternative attractions nearby.
The cons: The hotel is a bit far from the East Gate of the Forest Park. While the hotel offers shuttle service, if you're primarily visiting the Forest Park and plan to eat mostly around the East Gate, staying at a hotel closer to the East Gate might be more convenient.

The front desk staff were handsome and incredibly kind, always willing to help with any request! The hotel itself is great! All the facilities are new and exceptionally well-maintained! The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay! All the staff were particularly enthusiastic and had excellent attitudes, promptly assisting with any needs. The location is absolutely perfect! It's super convenient for getting around, and the surrounding area is also very handy. Overall, the experience was fantastic, highly recommend it! [Rose]
Traveling to Fenghuang Ancient Town with my parents and child, we chose the family room at Suli Lianhua. Lily at the front desk was very thoughtful and helped us upgrade to a suite. The space was incredibly comfortable, and you could feel the attentiveness in every detail of their service. The heating was excellent, and the hot water supply was great. They also provided shuttle service to Hongqiao, which is a fantastic option for traveling with elderly family members in winter.

I would like to thank the entire hotel team who helped me a lot to plan my stay in 张家界。 The hotel helped me book my tickets to visit 天门山,张家界森林公园,张家界大峡谷。 They gave me very useful advice on interesting places to visit, transportation to use. For my part, I have often used the taxi to visit the sites (most are 30 minutes away by taxi, except for 张家界大峡谷 located an hour away by taxi) but you can take the bus as well. The hotel really corresponds to my expectations, the room benefitted from a view of the mountain. I also used the fairly well-equipped fitness room every day and the washing machines accessible at any time of the day. Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. is also quite rich. In short, I am fully satisfied with this hotel and I recommend it to all family or lonely travellers like me. je tiens à remercier toute l'équipe de l'hôtel qui m'a beaucoup aidé pour planifier mon séjour à 张家界。L'hôtel m'a aidé à réserver mes tickets pour visiter

The hotel is in excellent condition, with spacious, bright, clean, and tidy rooms. The breakfast, in particular, is superb, especially the beef noodles and rice vermicelli. There's also a shortcut (not on navigation, but the hotel staff will tell you about it) that takes about ten minutes to walk from the hotel to one of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park's gates (there are many gates). It's a scenic walk along a path (the photos attached were taken along this route). From there, you can take a free shuttle bus to the attractions you wish to visit according to your itinerary.
Thank you, Xiao Ding and staff.
When we arrived the first day, we didn’t expect the weather to change so drastically. We needed to purchase some winter coat, he offered to drop us off. At the nearest underground shopping.
Aside from that, the entire hotel hospitality was great. The place is walking distance from the night scenery.
The room was Gorgeous!!!

I came to Changsha for a short break, and the hotel's location is excellent, really easy to find, right near the subway. Line 2 is super convenient for getting to Orange Isle, Wuyi Square, Pedestrian Street, Wanjiali, and other places, and it's a direct ride to all of them. The front desk staff were also very friendly and welcoming. They offered warm ginger tea when I checked in and even gave a small gift when I checked out, which was a really thoughtful touch.
The hotel is quiet, clean, and in a good location. It is a 200-meter walk to the shopping mall, where you can eat, drink, and play. Ctrip gave me Tremella soup when I checked in, and the room was worth the price. I went there for swimming, but it was closed at 7 o'clock during the Spring Festival. It was said that the lifeguards went off work early for the Spring Festival (understandable), but I went there the next day and didn't see any lifeguards the whole time... The water in the shallow pool of the swimming pool was warm, the environment was very good, and there was an endless city view...
A few suggestions, there were children staying in the room, but there were no supplies for children... Go to the front desk to ask. Toothbrushes and slippers were added later (no bath towels)

The hotel is located near the waterfall, and our room offers a 180-degree view of the falls. The staff, Meng Meng, who speaks a little English, gave us a tour of the room before we checked in, ensuring we had a room with a great view. We chose a room we liked but was cheaper than our reservation. Meng Meng offered us a bottle of red wine and two cans of tea, which impressed us greatly. Our room has a terrace where we can sit and enjoy a cup of tea while enjoying the waterfall. The hotel provides a convenient shuttle service from the high-speed rail station to our hotel. I was very impressed and would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserI really liked the hotel. The hotel arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel and back, and it also took us to the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. The receptionist spoke English and assisted us in purchasing tickets for the Avatar Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and the cave. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had a free tea ceremony with four different teas from China. After the ceremony, we were able to purchase the tea we liked. The breakfasts were good, and even a Russian person could find something to eat. The hotel grounds are a separate aesthetic pleasure, especially in the evening when the steam is turned on. There is also a very beautiful view of the mountains from the room window.

LLyndsey99Our stay here was perfect, what an amazing place! The staff are exceptional, and really care about guest experience. They provide transport to and from the east gate of the national park, and will help you plan your day. The service was perfect even down to the small details, like putting mosquito repellent out on the table we liked to play cards at, and providing us with a printed photo of our favourite memory there to take away with us.
The room was great, the views were breathtaking. After a long day at the park, we really appreciated having a small swimming pool there for a dip. Food options were good - we enjoyed our dinners and the breakfast buffet. Orders can be placed in advance on WeChat when you are on your way back from a day at the park. There was a decent range of both soft and alcoholic drinks available.
What we loved the most is that they have struck the perfect balance between luxury and a kind of homely comfort. We felt so relaxed here. An added bonus for us was their friendly dogs and cat, as we were starting to miss our own dogs at home by this point of our trip.
The location was fantastic. It is close to the national park, but the views are so good that if you choose to relax at the hotel you won’t miss anything. If our room wasn’t booked for the following days, we would have extended our stay. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed, not just in China. Thank you to everyone at Celestial Vally for an excellent stay!

GGuest UserAs a traveler who needs to balance online work, this place has surprised me. The whole house smart provides an efficient and convenient environment, and the high-speed network allows me to handle work at any time. The high-end toilet and free drinks are the embodiment of quality life, and the sky garden has become my open-air office, with a broad view and abundant inspiration. Take a walk to the Wulingyuan Marking Gate to relax your mind and body during the work break, exercise at the well-equipped gym in the evening, and the three lovely cats are also good companions to relieve stress. This balance of being able to work efficiently and experience nature deeply allows me to travel and work at the same time.

GGuest UserExcellent value for money, five-star recommendation! This hotel is truly worth every penny! It's easy to find, and parking is convenient. It's very close to the scenic spots, and the room is larger than I expected. The facilities are new, and the shower has great water pressure and heats up quickly. The mattress is just right, not too soft and not too hard, so I slept really well. The staff proactively greet guests, which made me feel very welcome. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area.
Ttianbian****First off, I have to say, this is the best hotel experience I've had domestically. The views are incredible, directly overlooking Tianmen Mountain. My flight landed at midnight, but the butler patiently picked me up. At one point, I wanted to grab a bite and invited the butler to join me, but they politely declined, saying they had other guests to pick up. I really appreciate such a responsible staff member. I'm very satisfied with the hotel's facilities; I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues that some negative reviews mentioned. Perhaps that's more common during peak season. I visited during the off-season, and it happened to be a clear, sunny day, so the 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop was absolutely stunning. I imagine those who had a less-than-ideal experience probably visited on a cloudy day, which might make the hotel appear dated. Also, reading some of those negative reviews in the comments section genuinely made my head spin – are we even talking about the same hotel? For the price you paid, to get a hotel like this, shouldn't you be thrilled? If you're going to complain about everything, maybe don't travel at all. Seriously, I rarely find such a unique hotel in China. The last time I stayed at a hotel that was this delightful and relaxing was in Guilin, but that cost 1600 RMB. Honestly, if you manage to book this hotel, you should be secretly celebrating!

GGuest UserOverall, this was a pleasant stay and I will book again if I visit Qiyang again.
We had 2 adults and 2 young children. Wishing to stay together in one room, they happily allowed this and waived any additional charge for breakfast for my 2 kids.
The place was clean and very comfortable.
Whilst the rooms are very clean some mould is starting to colour on the waterproof sealing in the shower. I hope the hotel keeps the clean appearance with a bit of bleach cleaning on the mould.
Another great plus is that they have 2 free to use washing machines and 2 dryers. I hand washed stained clothes in my room and use the machines for the final wash. It became one of the things I did whilst the wait was used to train in the gym next to the laundry area.
The gym was rudimentary but if you know how to train, bringing in a couple of training bands will be adequate. The bench is a bit wobbly so watch out for that.
The location of the hotel is perfect with a large park opposite.
For western visitors, I think they need to understand a few things about hotels in non-first tier city in Mainland China and specifically Qiyang.
1) Yes, most things are in Puntonghua (including the room's voice control AI) although the front desk staff can communicate in basic English.
2) The breakfast food buffet is distinctly catered to local tastes, so you won't get western style croissants, sausages, bacon and eggs. What you will get is the delicious freshly made noodles and boiled eggs, steamed rice bus, fried noodles, fried rice, spicy fried pork and beef, with congee and Chinese style broth. If you want western breakfast, you need to go to local McDonalds which is a 5 minute taxi ride away.
3) That brings me on to taxis. On the plus, its cheap. Most taxis charge around RMB10-20 (USD 1.40 -2.40) for a 2 mile radius. On the negative, you need to be able to get one and the hotel doesn't have a taxi call service, not by any fault of the hotel but by the lack of committed taxi drivers who are willing to work with the hotel, so very much hail on the street yourself kind of thing.
4) There is a KTV on the 3rd floor of the hotel but that is normal for a big Qiyang hotel. I would definitely recommend one of the higher floors if you want a little less noise.
5) And yes, there is literally one or two German cockroaches in the room at night but luckily not a serious infestation level. That is expected for rural places like Qiyang especially where the origin of the infestation may not be at the hotel itself.
JJosephine GohLove Love this beautiful homestay & it's exactly what you see on booking site.

GGuest UserThe best reception in any resort I have ever gotten!
Mainly Cherry received us very warmly, guided us, produced us with a lot of helpful tips and tricks.
The room we stayed in was the Watery B one, very spacious, nice bathtub and very clean.
Location-wise they provide you with free shuttles to the train station, Natural Park (Avatar) & Glass Bridge.
The food in the Chinese hotel was nice, with a very talented singer, Monica.
The owner of the hotel is very warm, curious and smart person.
Altogether, we felt home there and will 100% return!

GGuest UserWow, this hotel truly exceeded all our expectations. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I can confidently say there was not a single fault.
From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcomed by the staff. We were greeted downstairs at the door, our luggage was taken care of, and we were even offered tea and a hot towel, which was such a nice gesture.
Before we were escorted to our room, the staff even helped us to change into slippers (outside shoes aren’t allowed past the lobby). One of the staff members then accompanied us to the room and explained every detail about it, something I’ve never experienced before. The room itself was also spotless and very comfortable. The shower was spacious, and the toiletries provided were of high quality.
I also wanted to mention a moment where I truly felt genuine care from the staff. On a day when the temperature suddenly dropped, they had advised us to dress warmly and even provided us a bag with rain jackets and water. Without this kind gesture, I genuinely feel like I would’ve gotten sick so I felt extremely thankful. Coming back to the hotel, they even welcomed us back with hot tea and dessert, which was such a comforting and thoughtful touch.
The hotel was also home to five adorable and friendly kitties. As a cat lover, this was such a delightful bonus and made the entire stay feel even more charming and homey.
Overall, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Although it is slightly pricier than the average of most hotels located in Zhangjiajie, the service and quality of the room definitely make up for it. There is no doubt that I’ll be staying here again when I come back to visit!
