This was my first time visiting a high-altitude area, and after much deliberation, I chose the trusted St. Regis hotel. They upgraded me to a suite in the main building, which was excellent. The room was well-equipped, clean, and tidy. It even had an oxygen concentrator, though the oxygen concentration felt a bit low. For someone experiencing severe altitude sickness, this can be quite unsettling. It would be better if the oxygen facilities were improved, as many hotels now offer diffused oxygen systems.
I felt much more at ease knowing there's a medical room on the third floor of the hotel. (It would be even better if the hotel waived the small fees (10-20 CNY) for basic checks like blood oxygen, blood pressure, and heart rate. Oxygen therapy and medication were charged normally.) After all, the medical room is a selling point for the hotel.
My butler for this stay was Luodan from concierge. His service was exceptional. He'd provide daily weather updates, temperature forecasts, and remind me to bring an umbrella. He even brought my takeout directly to my room, making me feel truly at home. He helped me arrange a private car and driver, recommending the most cost-effective options. When I checked out, he carefully loaded my luggage into the car and knew exactly which car was picking me up. He was incredibly thoughtful, treating me like a friend.
Overall, my stay was very pleasant.

Guest UserThe location is superb. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Potala Palace. Downstairs, there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The restaurant on the sixth floor offers excellent views of the Potala Palace, perfect for both sunrise and sunset.
The room boasts a rare 180-degree view of the Potala Palace, which is a wonderful treat.
The hotel facilities are excellent, including oxygen concentrators available for both diffused and nasal use. The service is impeccable; the front desk staff are always incredibly helpful whenever needed. The hotel also has a laundry room and a reading room.

Guest UserI really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos.
The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea.
The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard.
Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

Anonymous UserDuring my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa, I met a true guardian who brightened my trip with his sincerity and professionalism – our butler, Robert Xiang Hongwei. With every proactive greeting and meticulous action, he transformed the phrase “feeling at home” into a heartwarming reality. The best service is when guests forget they are being “served.” With Robert, I witnessed the pinnacle of hotel service: not making guests feel deliberately “cared for,” but rather, through natural kindness, having every need met silently. His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. May this subtle light illuminate the journeys of more people, making every arrival a reunion worth looking forward to. I will definitely choose Shangri-La Hotel again for my next stay!

Anonymous UserI absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight.

Guest UserThis is one of those hotels you'll want to return to after you've left. The name is long and hard to remember, but the stay will leave a lasting impression. My husband and I stayed here in Lhasa, and the ladies at the front desk, along with the front desk manager, gave us a warm welcome and explanation. They even upgraded us to a family deluxe room with a view of the Potala Palace, which is stunning at night. The hotel facilities are comprehensive and exceptionally clean, and the dispersed oxygen supply ensured we slept well during our high-altitude trip. The hotel itself is like a museum, with its decor showcasing authentic ******* style, allowing you to experience ******* culture right on site.
The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, offering a delicious selection of Chinese, Western, and ******* cuisines. The first-floor restaurant has both Chinese and Western set meals, as well as an authentic ******* restaurant, making dining and staying very convenient.
What's most commendable is the location. It's less than a 15 RMB taxi ride to the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, and the Tibet Museum. Getting onto the highway is also very easy. All in all, our stay at this hotel was excellent. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lhasa and will recommend it to our friends. Many thanks to the Raji Snow Dragon Manor Resort for such a wonderful experience.

A very unique and beautiful hotel.
The rooms are spacious with 24-hour underfloor heating (the temperature is adjustable, so you can adjust it to your comfort). The bathroom is also spacious with a separate wet and dry area (though it doesn't have underfloor heating, which is a minor drawback).
The view from the rooms is the most beautiful part; you can take amazing photos just by sitting outside the room, far more beautiful than strolling through Barkhor Street.
The traditional kitchen on the first floor also greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch; it would be a popular restaurant even in a first-tier coastal city.

Yuan^2The most satisfying hotel of our trip to Tibet, even better than the St. Regis Lhasa!
1. The hotel is very grand and the design is full of ******* style.
2. The location is excellent, very convenient for visiting the Jokhang Temple, and there are plenty of dining options/supermarkets nearby.
3. A special thank you goes to Manager Shiyi, a benchmark for service in the hotel industry! She called beforehand to confirm (though I missed the call), and upon arrival, upgraded our family of three to a family suite (two bedrooms and a living room, ridiculously spacious). She also recommended Xiao Pangzi Sichuan restaurant to us (which was delicious!). After checking in, any questions we had were answered very promptly, and she even allowed us to check out late at 3:30 PM, so my parents could rest well before their 4 PM high-speed train. We are truly grateful! I've never been so well taken care of as a Titanium Elite member at any Marriott property!
4. The hotel robots proactively deliver takeout to the room, a blessing for lazy people.
5. The breakfast was unexpectedly good, comparable to the St. Regis Lhasa.

YiliannaExtremely satisfied! The hotel is very close to Barkhor Street and Potala Palace, both within walking distance, making its location absolutely superb! The hotel elevator goes directly to the 6th floor, where there's a popular cafe that's perfect for photos.
Atour is a chain, so it's very clean and well-equipped with a light luxury feel. The Dyson hairdryer, high-quality pajamas, Peet's coffee, and a coffee machine are all highlights. Most importantly, the hotel also offers a video shoot of the 'dryland scallion pulling' experience, a welcome gift, and afternoon tea/coffee!
There's also a butler service; you can just WeChat them if you need anything. Truly excellent! 👍🏻
