The rooms at Imabari Kokusai Hotel were spacious and clean!
The view of Shimanami Bridge from the room was amazing! The night view was also amazing!
The breakfast was a buffet with lots of Imabari specialties, so I was able to eat my fill!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful!
Good location near the Dogo Onsen Main Building and the onsen streets. The room is very basic and quite small. There was only one pillow provided and there were no extra blankets. There are three onsens in total; one indoor and two outdoor ones. The best part of my stay was the dinner which was sumptuous. It costs 10000 yen per head and has to be ordered in advance of check in.
Trip.com wrong room! This is the first time this happened! I booked 2 new wing standard twin rooms (Figure 3, 4) I went to the hotel and the new wing casual room- I didn't even have toilets and bathing facilities. I used to negotiate with the hotel for more than 1 hour. I couldn't speak I finally knew that it was caused by the error of communication between trip.com and the local Tourism Agent Company in Japan. I was very tired. But I booked the room and it was full of sun. It is convenient for my family to have a toilet at night. The hotel helped me change the old wing single room (with toilet, picture 1 and 2) I want two people a single bed, room very narrow, toilet smell 😢
To praise the hotel manager and staff for being very polite, try to communicate and change rooms.
This loss is actually difficult to make up for. It is always a hot spring hotel. Family and friends have expectations for staying. It also wastes a lot of travel precious time , so disappointed 😞
The hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.
The staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining & shopping options nearby. The hotel has a shopping mall on the lower floors and is next to Mitsukoshi Department Store and Okaido Shopping Street. The Okaido Tram Stop is down the street. The bus stop for the airport limousine is right in front of Mitsukoshi. Attractions such as Bansuiso, Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum and the cable car to Matsuyama Castle are all within walking distance.
The room and breakfast were great. There was a big AEON right next door, which was very convenient for sudden shopping. I was relieved that the parking lot could also be parked at AEON, and I was surprised that it was free. I would like to use it again next time because my relative's house is close. Thank you very much.
The first time I stayed at this hotel, the level of health was very high, the restaurant location was relatively small, and the lobby was relatively small.
But the room equipment is very new and clean, there is no noise, the location is not close to the city center, so the environment is very good, but there are large shopping malls nearby. In addition, the hot spring facilities are more disappointing, because there is only a small independent pool, the hot spring pool is less, but overall it is still enjoyable.
Very impressive arranegment and hospitality. I had a cycling accident in Seto inland sea and requested a delay checkin. The hotel texted me to offer assistance. Upon knowing my injury, the hotel upgraded me to a big private room for which i did not have to walk upstairs to my room and there was a private bath room inside. When i arrived at late night, all food were well prepared on table whilst fresh sushi were stored in the fridge. The hotel is a traditional Japanese hostel with warm hospitality and nice massage facilities. Surely will pick it when travel there again.
Booked a single room, there is a bed, to be honest, the room is small, but the price is there. The bathroom and toilet are shared, but the hygiene is no problem, very clean, there is a shared kitchen, there is a microwave oven to heat the lunch, and it is similar to at home. This time it was the cycling island Bohai Road, the hotel in the middle, the hotel was on the shrine of a shrine, and the hotel's integrated dining bar solved the breakfast and lunch problem very well.

GGuest UserDogo Onsen Chaharu is a hot spring hotel that is full of modern style yet retains Japanese style. It is not far from Dogo Onsen Main Building and has convenient transportation. The rooms are stylishly designed with minimalist style, spacious and well-equipped. Some rooms also offer beautiful views, allowing you to relax. The hot spring facilities in the hotel are excellent, especially the glass-landscaped bathing pool, which has different atmospheres during the day and at night, allowing you to enjoy the ultimate bathing experience. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and the service is thoughtful, making people feel the meticulousness and thoughtfulness of Japanese hospitality. The meals are made from fresh local ingredients, beautifully presented and satisfyingly tasty. The overall accommodation experience is quite comfortable. The only minor drawback is the higher price, but it is still worth the money in terms of service and facilities. Highly recommended for travelers who want to enjoy high-quality accommodation in Dogo Onsen!
