The hotel has a modern feel despite its age, with swift check-in. My room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom provided hot water with excellent pressure. I particularly appreciated the comfortable pillows, available in both thin and thick options. It's a bustling hub in Kuantan, offering free parking and a shopping center nearby.

The hotel is right by the sea, so you can watch the sunrise from your bed. In the evening, when the tide is out, you can collect clams. The front desk service is excellent, and there's a swimming pool directly facing the ocean. Parking is free. The room is large, clean, and comfortable, and you can hear the sound of the waves while you sleep. The only minor drawback is that the towels and sheets are a bit old, but everything else is great.

The location is just nice. Great scenary, not too cold but not hot. It's windy when we were there. For me here one day trip is just enough as there is just a small area unless you want to stay for a night there. The room was spacious but no carpet - cold for out feet. We got an upgrade room but unfortunately the elevator not working to the first floor, they apologized to use by giving 10% off for food to bought there. Breakfast - we booked with breakfast , satisfied with many choices available and good taste too. For the restaurant around there- not really satisfied as not so much choices plus pricy compared to the food served. Brought my child to the rabbit farm and Japanese garden - it's free for those who stayed at the Colmar Tropicale.

Room was new and clean, with a spacious balcony to dry the swimsuits. The beach was clean too. Family-friendly resort. But there was a used diaper right at the kids pool on our first day :[ Towels facility is capped at 3 towels maximum per room, there were 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young kids). Immediate payment for pool side F&B, no option to charge to room bill.

YYANGSONG TEO 2026.02.22
We recently stayed at Hyatt Kuantan and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet the usual standards I associate with the Hyatt brand. While the property has a good location and overall potential, the hotel itself appears somewhat aged and clearly in need of refurbishment and modernization. The F&B offerings lacked creativity and refinement. The menu selection felt rather basic, and the presentation and variety did not reflect the elevated dining experience typically expected from Hyatt properties elsewhere. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and innovation. Front desk communication was another area of concern. Response time was slow, and coordination appeared inconsistent, resulting in unnecessary waiting and minor confusion during check-in and inquiries. Housekeeping standards were also below par — room upkeep felt average at best, with details that were not attended to carefully. Overall, while the hotel may still serve as a functional stay option in Kuantan, the level of hospitality and service fell short compared to other Hyatt properties I have experienced. With proper upgrades and service improvements, the hotel certainly has the potential to better align with Hyatt’s usual brand standards.

We stayed at Chateau Spa, Bukit Tinggi for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind and celebrate a special occasion. The room was clean, and the toilet was well kept, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff service was truly tip-top—everyone was attentive, caring, and clearly prioritised our wellbeing and comfort throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out. As for the food, breakfast and the buffet were fine, but the à la carte meals for lunch and dinner were definitely worth the money. The portion sizes matched the price well, and there was a good variety of Western and Malay cuisine. We tried the Western dishes, including salmon and steak, and they were delicious. The spa prices were affordable, though booking in advance is recommended. We visited during the last few days of December, and the weather was cold and lovely, adding to the overall relaxing experience. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration.

I recently had the chance to stay at Adena Beach Resort, and honestly it turned out to be a really refreshing getaway. The biggest highlight is definitely the private beach. Waking up to the sound of waves and being able to walk straight to the beach in the morning is something you don’t get everywhere. The beach was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a slow morning walk during sunrise. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with a relaxing view that makes you feel like you’re truly on a break from the city. The resort itself has a calm atmosphere — not overly crowded, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was the friendly and helpful staff. From check-in to check-out, the service felt warm and welcoming. Small gestures from the team really made the stay more pleasant. If you’re looking for a quiet beach escape in Pahang, especially near Kuantan, Adena Beach Resort is definitely worth considering. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe, and just enjoy the sea breeze for a while. Would definitely come back again for another short retreat.

The bathroom lights were problematic: one was out and the other was flickering. The towels were dirty, and they only provided one toothbrush. There was also a strange odor in the room when I checked in. However, the service was quite good.

Me and my husband booked this hotel for our staycation before Ramadan start. The price offer affordable with our budget since we went there during school holiday and CNY. We choose superior room which located in front of the pool. The resort are huge/big, a bit classic since the room interior quite oldies. I guess it's true this resort was build on 1987~ somewhere. The resorts well maintain, the staff are welcoming, polite, good PR with guests inquiries. The resort have great access to the beach that you may walk from the room/pool/restaurants. They have 2 pools, the one are surround by the villas/superior room and they have pool theme park (small theme park), require to wear the bands (will provide during check-in), the kids definitely enjoyed playing at the pool so do adults too. The other side of theme park pool, the have pool facing the beach and besids the restaurant, and of course their lifeguard always monitor the guests in pool area. There so many type of rooms you may choose in future. Furthermore, their breakfast menus are satisfied to enjoy, staff that always ready to clean up once guest finished their meal. Overall it's very comfy, nice and beautiful resort to choose for staycation/holiday. Definitely will come again in future.

The island's scenery is breathtaking, especially in the evenings as the sun sets. The combination of the boardwalk, the water, the clouds, and the seagulls is truly captivating. You can also snorkel and kayak on the island, or simply relax on a cushion by the beach, gazing at the clear blue water, listening to the crashing waves, and minding your own business. It's a relaxing and comfortable experience. The rooms are decorated in a wood-style style. Ours even had a small pool, a patio, and a small loft. Everything was well-equipped. Knowing we were Chinese tourists, they even switched the Netflix program on the TV to Chinese—a thoughtful touch. The hotel also offers a turndown service with scented candles and a small note on a leaf, making you feel instantly at home. Regarding food, there's a Malaysian restaurant and an Italian restaurant on the island (the hotel owner is Italian, married to a Malaysian woman, and built a hotel here). Breakfast is served at the hotel's buffet, offering both a buffet and à la carte options. The bread, various toasts, muffins, and yogurt are all delicious. I recommend ordering the ones with peanut butter. We only ate at the Italian restaurant once, which was average. The rest of our stay was at the Malaysian restaurant. The chef is a master at making rich, spicy, sour, and fried dishes, and he's very humorous. The smoothies are also very authentic, and I especially recommend the green apple juice, which is a refreshing summer treat. There's also a small bar during happy hour that sells grilled food and fresh seafood. We didn't know about it and missed it, but we ended up ordering a burger, which was amazing! The gravy was juicy, and while the bread was a little dry, it outweighed the problem. Even the roasted potatoes on the side were delicious! Finally, the hotel service here is impeccable. The staff greets you with a smile and immediately seeks to assist you with any needs. In short, it feels like home, and thinking of them brings a sense of security. Transportation was a bit of a hassle. We landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport, chartered a car to Mersing for a ferry, and spent a few hours exploring Malacca along the way. We departed from the airport's Outlet at around 2:00 PM, arrived in Malacca around 4:00 or 5:00 PM, and departed for Mersing at 7:00 PM, arriving around 11:00 PM. We slept in a homestay in Mersing. The next day, we took the 11:30 PM ferry to Tioman Island, and then another ten-minute ride on the hotel's boat to the hotel. It was a hassle, but on our last day, the hotel dropped us off at the Tioman Island jetty for the ferry. Seeing them say goodbye to us, I couldn't help but think I'd return one day. Besides the scenery, it was their simplicity, sincerity, and thoughtfulness that made this hotel feel like home. It truly was ”home, sweet home.”

MManmanlyThe hotel felt like a quiet, secluded haven. We booked a beach villa, and they even accommodated our request for a room with a great view. There were many sharks by the jetty, and we could snorkel right outside our room to see plenty of fish and small sharks. The hotel food was good, though a bit pricey. The room design was truly impressive, with front and back doors offering different views, and we even saw many playful monkeys. The cleanliness was absolutely spotless! It also came with a separate vanity table, which turned out to be perfect for our child's homework. The only letdown was the spa. For a hotel that markets itself as a spa destination, the spa rooms were chilly and damp. The therapist was simply awful; she even stopped massaging me when I fell asleep??? I definitely do not recommend getting a spa treatment at this hotel.

MMystery solvedThe stay was good, clean, and easy access to the mall, casino and sky avenue. However be prepared for a 100m run from the entrance to your hotel room, it is actually wide enough and quite a nice walk 🤭 staff were well trained and attentive to any needs or questions you may have, not sure what amenities the hotel has as there wasn’t any that had directional cues for guests, so I’m guessing there aren’t any? I may be wrong

MMarina YoshiWe stayed one night at 1001 Nights Hotel during our Genting trip and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel has a unique Arabian-inspired theme, which makes it feel different from the usual highland hotels — very Instagrammable, especially around the lobby and common areas. The room was clean, comfortable, and suitable for a short family stay. Beds were cozy, and basic amenities were well provided. Although the room size was moderate, it was sufficient for resting after a full day out. Location-wise, it’s convenient if you’re driving, with easy access to Genting attractions. Parking was available, which was a plus. The surroundings were calm and quiet, perfect for winding down. Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. While facilities are relatively simple (don’t expect a full resort setup), it’s good value for money, especially for a short stopover or transit stay in Genting. Pros: • Unique Arabian theme & nice ambience • Clean and comfortable rooms • Friendly staff • Good value for money Cons: • Limited facilities • Better suited for short stays Overall, a nice alternative if you’re looking for something different in Genting Highlands without breaking the bank. Would consider staying again for a short getaway.
