QiaokelibabamamaGreat location, right in the city center/next to the highway, close to supermarkets and restaurants. It's a 7-minute drive to the lakeside beach and 20 minutes to City Park.
Excellent value for money, includes free parking, WiFi, and a 24-hour front desk.
The rooms are new, renovated in 2024–2025, with a simple and modern design. The bedding is comfortable, and a mini-fridge and coffee maker are provided.
Friendly service, with a warm front desk staff and quick check-in/check-out. It's also pet-friendly.
Practical breakfast: No free breakfast, but they provide vouchers for the adjacent Ricky’s restaurant (can be exchanged for pancakes/bacon/eggs). You can upgrade your breakfast for an extra charge; I tried the BC Benny, and it was quite good.
Facilities include a seasonal outdoor pool, a small gym, and a self-service laundry room.
A nice little touch: They put a rubber ducky in the bathroom, which adds a fun brand personality.
The downside is the motel-style layout: external corridor access means less privacy. There's only one elevator, so for lower floors, taking the stairs is recommended.
Noise issue: Rooms facing the street experience noticeable noise from highway traffic. It's advisable to request a room away from Harvey Ave when checking in.
There's no elevator access to the 2nd and 3rd floors, which can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage.

Anonymous UserI requested good view room and staff helped upgrade me to King room! Though I can’t see much as it’s the 7th floor, but I enjoyed it a lot. Though the street ambient still being to hear, the area is still peaceful and I can sleep soundly. As the bed itself is far from the hallway, so I heard no noise within the hotel. Full amenities including slippers, bottled water and milk. Smart hotel, since the elevator to many equipments in room. For example, the heated floor in the bathroom or the tablet near the bed that you can browse hotels services and set an alarm. One thing I feel a bit strange is the bed size versus the flush toilet size. I am 158 cm tall, and there wasn't much space left between my feet and the end of the bed. Yet, the toilet was so high that I had to tiptoe while sitting. However, overall is great. Staff and services are all great. Convenient to everywhere with safer environment comparing to other areas. I’m very satisfied with my stay.

Youren-shanghaiThis hotel boasts an excellent location, right around the corner from the Whistler Village Gondola (via exit B), and with the main entrance (exit A) for car drop-offs. Exit B leads directly to a pedestrian shopping street, just a few minutes' walk from the bus station. The hotel is divided into a South Tower and a North Tower. The South Tower features rooms with a fully equipped kitchen – we're talking a real home kitchen setup, complete with a dishwasher, induction hob, extractor fan, and all necessary kitchenware. It's truly rare to find a high-end hotel offering such amenities.
What truly impressed me was their genuine recognition and treatment of elite members, even when booked through a third-party platform like Trip.com. For two guests, they provide a daily dining credit of CAD 24 per person (usable at their restaurants and eateries), complimentary Wi-Fi, and late check-out, among other perks. A special shout-out to Ms. Rosalie at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain how to best utilize our member benefits. This hotel is exceptionally friendly towards its elite members.

Pei-Shan Wang (Callie)It’s actually located underneath a residential area, but the atmosphere is amazing. The space is very large, almost like a suite, with a large TV, sofa, desk, and chair. Everything can be conveniently controlled through an electric control panel. They also provide complimentary water, which is a nice touch. The restaurant on the first floor is great, too—the food tastes delicious!

Guest UserThis is a good hotel . There was a little difficulty during our stay that was not hotels fault. The management professionally dealt with it. We were last minute guests for the staff?, after leaving a very ‘’poor’’ hotel very quickly. Friendly, atmosphere, if I am next in Victoria ?, the VIC will be where we will stay, , easy 5 minute drive. 1mile from downtown.

Ronald AriasThis is my second time at Samesun, but it's still the best hostel downtown! The free breakfast is amazing. There are plenty of shower and washroom facilities. The staff are always helpful. I love how the lounge is so aesthetic. Thank you for making my stay another memorable experience!

LilchannI enjoyed my stay at the Stoke Hotel. The room was comfortable, I was beside the laundry/maintenance room and noticed some noise during the day but not in the evenings or nights, it never bothered me. My room was adjacent to the hot tub and I did hear some loud good times but it didn't bother me and it was quiet by bedtime. Breakfast had so much selection. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, apples, grapefruit, oranges, muffins, bagels, and various breads and cookies. The hot foods are alternated, just so many options, it was fantastic and made for slow mornings sometimes. The breakfast staff were welcoming, great at stocking up and tidying up. The mornings were very enjoyable.
The bus shuttle stop was nearby and the front desk gave bus vouchers when I asked. There was also a free shuttle service downtown, to the Regent Hotel, just a matter of requesting after 5:30pm.
Staff were friendly, the premises were clean, my room and bed were comfy. Had a great stay even though it was not downtown and I didn't have a car.
Denny's, McDonald's, tim Hortons and a&w are in walking distance. Good location and comfortable stay.

Nea neaThe location is a bit out of the way, making it suitable for self-driving travelers looking for a one-night stopover. It's a bit of a distance from the SkyTrain station and requires taking a bus; walking isn't recommended. Shopping nearby isn't convenient, as the large supermarket about 50 meters away is membership-only. The 7-Eleven at the gas station is an option, but it requires crossing a busy main road and walking for about ten minutes. The room was spacious, with strong but noisy air conditioning. The room amenities were quite basic. The fridge was empty but extremely loud, significantly disturbing sleep, and the room's soundproofing was just average. Breakfast was provided but very simple, almost negligible. Trip.com's customer service was excellent; they responded quickly to an issue I raised and promptly contacted the hotel to resolve it, which was fantastic.

My family of four with children has some business to do in Campbell River, so there are some inconveniences with the one-day reservation facility, but overall it's good.
