"first room we got was dirty and had what i think was burnt bacon on the floor and some stains on the bed, along with a fish type smell so we got swapped, second room was great though, no window in either room but did have air conditioning so can’t complain. The lifts are not very great very unsettling so we opted for the stairs instead, but the stairwell in some areas was riddled with damp and mould so quite a hazard. entrance is in an alleyway which was really uncomfortable to get in, but based right in the centre which is exactly as we wanted. we staff at the reception was great the lady who swapped us was amazing, and another man there on the second day we informed him of a problem with the lift and he was lovely and kind, would recommend for maybe a one night stay or someone where just to sleep, not a hotel you’d want to stay in for a day. note though that it does inform you on the FAQs that there is no room service during your stay unless you request it before 10am, so no fresh towels each day, which wasn’t a problem for us but may be for some others. photos attached are regarding the first room"

The stay was suppose to be relaxing. The hotel was great however the stay was a let down when golf course maintenance woke us up right outside the window with a hedge trimmer at 7am which lasted right up until we checked out. Sad end to the stay.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! Me and my daughter booked this hotel to see Louis Tomlinson at the Utilita. It was perfect location. 10 minutes from the train station, 5-10 minutes from the arena. There is also a lot of night life so we managed to find a nice place just across the road to have some food and drinks. The room was lovely too! We had two double beds so we managed to sleep very well after the concert! Will definitely stay again if we have another trip to Birmingham!

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, it was really clean and tidy the room was beautiful with a view of the local bus station on its doorstep also BBC Coventry radio behind the hotel. The room was spacious with all accessories we needed. Could've done with a wet room as me and my partner are disabled but because its a family room its expected to have a bath with shower head over the bath. We was on the 4th floor with lift nearby

The hotel doesn't have its own parking. If you're driving, you have to walk to the nearby B4 carpark, though the parking fee was discounted. I specifically booked a more expensive executive king room, but they still gave us a room with two beds. When I asked the front desk, they said the main bed was large and the smaller one next to it was a 'bonus.' I was so speechless I actually laughed. It was too late and I was too tired to argue, so I just stayed for one night. Anyway, it wasn't what I booked, so it's a negative review.

Staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and helpful from check-in to checkout. The location is ideal right in Birmingham city centre, super easy to get around everywhere. Room was spotlessly clean and everything was exactly as it should be. No complaints at all, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

The hotel is perfect for tourists who want to transfer from Birmingham to another city. All equipment is perfect and advanced and the cost is reasonable. HOWEVER, the female receptionist is very rude and irritable, when I checked in with her, there’s the same name as me booked this hotel and I just double checked the days and whether I booked the breakfast or not she showed her impatience and rudeness.

Firstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night. To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky.
