We booked a double room, but upon arrival we were given a very small room with two single beds. There was minimal space between the beds, and overall the room did not match what we had booked. Before our arrival, we submitted a request to the hotel asking for a double bed instead of two single beds. Trip.com indicated that our request had been forwarded to the hotel. However, when we checked in, the staff told us that they had not received such a request and refused to change the beds to a double bed. They also said that an extra charge per night would be required to provide a double bed. This was disappointing, as we had booked a double room and the request had been marked as handled on our side. This was the first time we experienced an issue like this for such a simple request, and we were quite disappointed with the service. In addition, the size of the bathroom was very small. It was not practical for two people to be in the bathroom at the same time, which further affected the comfort of our stay. We hope you will look into this matter and improve the handling of bed-type requests for future guests. Thank you.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The hotel's overall environment was clean and tidy, and the room was spacious and bright, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly through the night. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and efficient with both check-in and check-out, and patiently answered all my questions. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and a wide variety of dining options nearby. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. I have stayed at various Toyoko Inn before. I have no complain for this one. The issue I encountered this time is that I got a smoking room, and the hotel was fully booked,?so not possible to switch. I thought I have always been very careful about booking a non-smoking room. Not sure where the mistake was happened.

This hotel gave me a big surprise. The environment, service, facilities and food are all above average. What I like most is that the hot spring facilities are large and comfortable. There are also flower hot springs and all-you-can-drink Japanese sake. It is an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended!

While the location is a little removed from the city center, this wasn’t an issue at all for me, as I had a rental car. The added bonus? Free parking on-site, which made my stay even more convenient and budget-friendly. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. With its blend of elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and thoughtful touches, it became a peaceful and comfortable base for my journey — one I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to fellow travelers.

The staff of Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel are professional and considerable. Their service are excellent, especially 1) The shuttle bus driver (morning shift strong man, forgot asking his name). When we arrived at Shodoshima Ferry Pier at 11:00am on April 7, we found a hotel shuttle bus, but not sure if it's the one of our staying hotel. We asked the driver if it's the one that waiting to pick us up. He said yes, but the hotel check-in time should be 3:00pm in the afternoon. He suggested us to have the sightseeing first and helped register the afternoon time for picking us instead. Also, he suggested taking our hand carry bags to the hotel front desk to avoid we carrying too heavy bags while travelling. 2) The lady staff (sorry for forgetting her name) at the lobby hall, who was very proactive. She came over immediately to help taking photos for us when she found we're taking a selfie. She also served us with free drinks for enjoying the sunset at the hall. 3) The staff at the reception desk are very professional. They helped us for check-in, explained the details of the time for meals, and provided all the information required. 4) The foods for dinner & breakfast buffet are very nice and yummy. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Overall, Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel is a very professional and comfortable accommodation for stay. We're pleased and feel glad choosing this hotel.

Hotel staff at reception desk is super helpful and very patient to assist customer. Room is super clean and breakfast is nice. We stayed this hotel for 4 nights for a golf trip. During our stay, there were a couple issues we have with car rental companies. Staff was very kind to help in local languange conversation with call center and local police individuals to effectively get thing done. I cannot image how long it will take for us to communicate with non-Japanese lauguage... Good job Route Inn hotel.

The hotel's location is fantastic. It's a 10-minute walk to Kochi Station, and the airport shuttle bus stop is right outside. The famous Love Bridge is also just behind the hotel. The shopping street is only a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient for eating, browsing, and shopping. Hirome Market is also nearby. The front desk staff were very patient and thoughtful. The breakfast was good, and they had delicious bonito. Plus, the room windows actually open! I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kochi.

very happy stay! staff very helpful we are very appreciate, just the staff only can speaks little english, we use the apps translator so still very smooth. from airport to hotel, you can take the limousine bus, ticket buy ar the machine, bus stop just right outside at No.2 platform, has airport staff might guide you, travel time about 20-25 minutes can get there, the stop just right at the hotel, the market street just behind the hotel, Takamatsu shops testaurant closed quite early, most of that closed about 8, just some abit late.. if you want to find dinner restauant must go earlier. many Izakaya (居酒屋) around the hotel but they needs to book reservation, walk in almost full!! Car park is ¥1400 per night, outside car parks is more cheaper but inside the hotel that convenient if you bought some stuff 😆 but only few inside, no advance resersations, its first come first served every night, so u have to go early to get the parking
