Our stay at the Bastion Hotel in Apeldoorn was short but very pleasant overall. The room was relatively simple and modestly furnished, yet it offered a good level of comfort. One feature we particularly appreciated was the possibility of streaming content directly from our own mobile devices to the television. Being able to enjoy our favourite programmes on YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other streaming services was certainly a nice touch! Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. We were also very pleased with the staff, who were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. There is, however, one aspect that we feel could be improved: the bathroom design. The shower has an open layout, and unfortunately, the water did not drain away quickly enough. As a result, a considerable amount of water accumulated on the bathroom floor after showering, leaving it temporarily flooded. This was particularly inconvenient for my wife, who wanted to use the bathroom immediately after me. While this did not significantly affect our overall positive impression of the hotel, we believe that improving the shower drainage would make the bathroom considerably more comfortable and practical for guests. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast, and welcoming hospitality. We would certainly consider staying here again.

What a wonderful hotel! I stayed here with my 8-year-old daughter for a concert and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We arrived early just to drop off our luggage, but to our surprise, we were able to check in at 1 PM instead of the usual 3 PM. That was really well-managed and immediately gave us a relaxed start to our stay. The room was neat and comfortable, and the breakfast the next morning was extensive and very tasty. Lots of choices and everything fresh. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended if you're planning a weekend in Arnhem!

Location was excellent, only 2 mins walk from Arnhem Central Station. The room was quite spacious and clean, amenities were barely adequate but considering the rate I was paying, the hotel was one of the best pick in that area

It was an okay experience. I’ve stayed here before mostly due to the convenient location of being next to the train station, however I feel the hotel needs an update. Light switches were not working properly in the room and it left a tired feel to the property. The management team should consider updating the facilities to reflect most Mercure hotels

Decent sized room, reasonably priced. Although we didn’t have dinner there (attending a concert which ended much later than the dinner service), the option was available. Comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom had a generous sized walk in shower (very easily accessible for visitors with limited mobility. Although other guests had alleged issues regarding the renovation works, we were fortunate that this didn’t affect our stay. The hotel appears to have taken onboard earlier reviews mentioning tired decor - we can attest to the fact that the hotel are implementing some significant improvements. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would love the opportunity to return and see more of the area.

We stayed here for a concert in the Gelredome. We found the location great for our purposes - only 20 mins walk from the station and under 40 mins walk from the stadium (although we are admittedly fast walkers!). The room was a really good size, comfortable beds and very clean. The staff were wonderful, some of the most cheerful and friendly we've met, and spoke very fluent English. We would definitely stay here if we came to Arnhem again :)

My week spent at the Hotel Pauw was good. It was located in the city of Nijmegen and was within walking distance of groceries and shops. It is very accessible to Primark, TKmax and other branded shops. The room was spotless. The only downside of this hotel is the poor and unstable Wi-Fi connection, and there was no room dining service. Although you can order food delivery, they did not allow it to be delivered to your room.

Good location, in the city center but quiet part. Walkable distance from train station. Shops , cafes and restaurants nearby. Reception were fine, we were there earlier than check in time so could leave baggage there, also could leave after check out too, free of charge. Room were ok, good size. Comfortable to stay. Quiet at night. Breakfast were ok, standard breakfast. Overall it's fine hotel to stay in Arnhem.

What a nice hotel with good facilities. I slept here with a friend because it is near Royal Park Live in the gardens of Soestdijk Palace. Ideal! The superior room had good beds, a spacious bathroom, a table to have breakfast at, a mini fridge for our drinks, a TV, air conditioning and a small outdoor area. We also used the wellness area of ​​the hotel (sauna, steam cabin and showers) and there is an indoor swimming pool. The lunch at the hotel was also very successful and we were able to park our car for free. All in all, highly recommended!

As always, the hotel staff is very welcome. The room is clean.Spacious. Very convenient time for the trip and late departure for those who like to sleep longer in the morning. The trip after 14:00 and the departure until 12:00.
