#There are cockroaches crawling inside the sanitary bathroom...#Service a room can have 2 pools of hot spring water, the water has a sulfur smell, the hot spring feels OK, but my experience needs to be shared in detail. Passing through Taishan, I found a store with high scores on the platform to stay for one night and soak in a hot spring. After arriving at the store, I paid a deposit of 500 yuan (the deposit fee is greater than the room fee) and then said that the burst water pipe will have a hot spring at 8 or 9 pm. I played mahjong for 40 minutes (at the beginning, I said that I gave a good review to free mahjong opening fee, After checking out, I said that I had to give a good review before refunding the room deposit. This threatening praise, I would rather pay the mahjong opening fee of 100) and finally drag and drag for many reasons. I didn't refund my 400 yuan deposit until more than 6 hours after check-out. The complete description of the real experience is for your reference and no other evaluation. #Cost-effective its elevator is bad ~ can climb the stairs, the so-called 24-hour housekeeper can reply to the message after more than an hour (the kind that may not be answered without urging)

Our 2-day, 1-night stay in the Bubugao Family Room was a perfect holiday experience! The slide room was an instant hit with the kids! Adorable bunk beds featured a safety lock on the top bunk for extra security. Our child went absolutely wild playing for two hours the moment we stepped in! The bathroom was thoughtfully equipped with a children's vanity and parent-child bathrobes – the convenience and attention to detail were simply incredible. An Ultimate One-Stop Family Fun Destination! Just a 5-minute walk to the marine hot springs (boasting 108 pools, including a delightful kiddie duck pool), or hop on the free shuttle bus. The shuttle also provides direct access to Mystery Island Amusement Park (complete with thrilling roller coasters and an adorable petting zoo) – and your room card grants unlimited entry! Breakfast included freshly cooked seafood congee and fun cartoon buns. Even the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly, often bending down to chat and play with the little ones. The Effortless Family Getaway Formula! Floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of a 2.7 km coastline, while the private hot tub on the balcony was perfect for evening soaks, watching the dazzling lights of Fisherman's Wharf. We even got to enjoy the entertainment facilities for the entire day after check-out, and the butler service was incredibly attentive. There was so much to do—hot springs, the amusement park, the beach—two days simply weren't enough! We finally achieved our dream of an effortlessly relaxing family vacation.

We had truly lovely stay at this villa. The staff were outstanding—friendly, responsive, and always ready to assist through instant messaging, both before and during our visit. The communal spaces were spotless and well-kept, offering a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome tea, complete with a slice of cake and fragrant Chinese tea—perfect after a long journey. The villa itself was beautifully furnished, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A sweet touch was the toy gift for our kids, which made them smile right away. We were also surprised with a complimentary warm dessert one evening—such a heartwarming gesture. We chose the rooftop room, which offered stunning views of the sea from the bungalow-style balcony. The outdoor bathtub, accompanied by a fresh bathing kit, was a delightful touch. While the unique rooftop layout adds charm and privacy, it does invite a little extra mindfulness when moving around the space—an endearing quirk that adds to the character of the experience. The shower area had a romantic ambiance, making it especially fitting for couples. Would happily return and recommend to others looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for retreat.

For this trip, I booked the most basic room type for a 2-day stay on Trip.com, which is ideal for a parent traveling with one child from Shenzhen. Room Environment: The room felt quite humid, but since I'm sensitive to smells, I brought my own sandalwood diffuser, which helped. The room came with a dehumidifier, a heated towel rail, and a bathtub – definitely thoughtful amenities. Activities: If you're looking for water fun, this is the place! It has everything: pools, a water park, and hot springs. You can bring your own swim rings and inflate them at the hotel. My child had a blast for two days, consistently renting electric water guns and mini yachts, which was genuinely entertaining. Manual rowing is available for 68 RMB per hour, a reasonable price comparable to kayaking. The large lawn is perfect for evenings, featuring outdoor movies and live singing performances (which were rather mediocre). Let's talk about the food: We saw some people ordering takeout on the lawn, which seemed convenient, but we decided to eat all our meals at the hotel. The buffet dinner was 300 RMB per person. My 8-year-old, being 1.4m tall, was charged the adult price. This might be due to the large summer holiday crowds, especially many guests from Hong Kong. We queued for oysters but only managed to get 6 in total, which felt like poor value for money. The next day, we switched to the Han Palace Chinese restaurant. The 2-person set meal was 198 RMB, plus an extra fried rice for 58 RMB (a 15% service charge applies). As a registered hotel member (lowest tier), we received a 5% discount. The food was tasty and offered good value for money. However, if ordering a la carte at full price, a simple meal would easily cost 150-200 RMB per person. Service: Overall, it was excellent, and everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic. My child injured their foot in the bathroom, and the staff promptly brought iodine and band-aids. (The door stopper on the bathtub was quite a design flaw). I was invited to leave a review after checking out. Given the effort involved in writing a detailed review, I decided to type all this out. I hope the hotel maintains its current occupancy rate, and perhaps the basic room types will be renovated soon too~

If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the charm of Guangzhou’s original old town, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Nestled among winding alleys and within walking distance of historic temples, the location is perfect for those who love exploring on foot. The hotel itself has a trendy, creative vibe—especially the ground-floor coffee shop, which is a magnet for content creators and social media enthusiasts. During check-in, we were warmly welcomed by a gentleman who went above and beyond, sharing a curated list of local food and drink spots via WeChat. We followed one of his recommendations and ended up enjoying some incredible pan-fried dumplings—truly a highlight of our trip. Our room was bright and comfortable, with a super cozy bed and refreshingly cold air conditioning. While the space showed some signs of wear—like chipped corners and scuffed walls—a fresh coat of paint would easily elevate the experience. The stairs were manageable, and breakfast, though simple, was thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. All in all, we highly recommend this hotel for travelers who appreciate staying in a vibrant, authentic neighborhood with a touch of creative flair.

Take the baby to revisit the old place, the old place is new, I really like it! Arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening, Huang store manager parking lot greeted, thoughtful and considerate! The room layout and hardware are superb! I like the design very much, and it is a few steps away from the beach. Miss Chen's service is also very intimate and thoughtful, and came to our room several times. The cleaning aunts are also smiling and warm, and feel at home! The first choice for vacation in the future! Great love!

GGuest UserTowards the end of the summer vacation, I took my kids to a water park. After much research and planning, we finally settled on Forest Sea. Having never been here before, we were really looking forward to it. Now that our trip is over, I'd like to share some thoughts and give an honest review. First off, we chose this place primarily because it's ranked as the number one family water park in Guangdong on Ctrip. Despite extensive research, we were quite disappointed upon arrival and frankly, couldn't understand how it earned that top spot. Personally, I found Forest Sea to be just 'okay' overall, with many aspects falling short of its supposed reputation. We booked the 'Starry Sky Family Room', which was indeed very spacious, spread over two floors with two beds downstairs and one upstairs, easily accommodating several people. However, the room's cleanliness was far from satisfactory, especially the bathroom, which was quite dirty, giving the impression it was only superficially cleaned for the next guest. Furthermore, the air conditioning was incredibly noisy, a constant rumbling sound. I'd advise anyone sensitive to cleanliness or noise to seriously reconsider staying here. Moving on to the water park itself: hotel guests were promised early access from 9 AM, but the reality was completely different! While we did get in at 9 AM, most attractions were closed or unavailable because lifeguards hadn't arrived. Everything only started operating at 10 AM, which is also when day-pass visitors were admitted. So, what was the point of that 'early access' for hotel guests? It was an empty promise! The result was an immediate crush of people, completely ruining any potential experience. Hotel guests received absolutely no preferential treatment. Furthermore, the water park attractions were quite generic, lacking any unique features, and the water quality left much to be desired. And don't even get me started on the 'Venice Canal' – it was laughably small, with pedestrians walking right by, a truly miniature version. I'm beyond words. Lastly, the buffet dinner was another major letdown; I'm truly speechless. For the number of hotel guests, the buffet restaurant was far too small to seat everyone. We ended up having to sit at outdoor tables, battling swarms of mosquitoes. On top of that, the food itself was underwhelming and indistinguishable from any generic Western buffet. I'm genuinely exhausted from complaining and will definitely not be returning. That's all there is to it. The only silver lining was the decent butler service; everything else was a massive disappointment.

EEvergreenOceanSummary of Scores: Location 4/5 - Yes it has a beach front, yes it is pretty out there. We arrived at HuiDongNan (惠東南) high speed rail station and took a 50minutes ride from the station to the hotel via Didi/Taxi. The location is pretty far from the city. However, the challenge comes when trying to book a taxi on the wechat Didi app. Often there are limited drivers in the area resulting in waiting up to 30 minutes for a ride. The other down side for me will be the construction surronding the area, as it is a still developing area, construction sounds and sites are observable. Clealiness 4/5 - Overall the hotel staff is very fast and the staff work extra hard to ensure any spills, wet spots, wet marks are wiped and cleaned as soon as possible. However, in our room there is a smell of watery and humidity when we entered the room, especially the standing shower stall in the room. Service 5/5 - The front desk lady (Judy) was fast in helping us check in to the hotel. We arrived very early ~12noon, Judy helped us check to see if there were any rooms available for us to check in earlier as the check in time was supposed to be at 3pm. We ended up geting the room ~12noon and with an upgrade to the 25th floor. Overall whever we approached the staff, they are very willing to help. When requesting for extra water in the room, it came within 30 minutes. Facilities 4/5 - There are many facilities and places to take photos such as the I Love Richu Sign, Swings, Reef Bar, Observation Deck, Fireworks and more. There are many places for great pictures. Besides picture opportunities, there are many faciltiies for kids, very family friendly. Whether it is shooting fireworks, kayaking along the lazy river, swimming/playing at hte shallow pools, going to the beach, there are much to do to ensure your little one is engaged all day. Given the hotel is less than 10 years old, there are some observable wears and tears in the room which can be maintained better. We got the hotel package with the breakfast, there are many varities and definitely very fitting for the Chinese population which is the majority. However, if you are expecitng a more western/international breakfast cuisine, you may need to be aware options such as cold cuts, ham, cheese, egg stations are not avaliable. While the resutaurant opens at 7:00am, the restaurant is packed with 65%-70% occupancy already at 7:30am.

EErica StrolenFamily getaway First of all, I was amazed at the fact we were welcomed and checked in long before 2 pm, as soon as we arrived at noon. Next great thing was that the receptionist helped us to swipe rooms, as we booked one king size bed but for the family of four it was a bit inconvenient, so in a matter of 10 minutes we got a spacious room with 2 wide beds. So the night sleep was unmatched. The location- from the first glance - looked a bit weird, coz actually the hotel is the part of the bigger residential area, although multi-stored houses are still in the stage of development and not fully inhabited. But, on the second day, when we explored the whole area we found out there were much much worse districts with entirely damaged roads, abandoned structures and left behind businesses. So after that ugly image I changed my initial impression and have to say the hotel is just right for family and perfect rest. We had a wonderful time while taking baths and even the hot springs square isn’t large we counted no less than 20 bath tubs with great proportion of aromatic and herb additives so you may enjoy the fragrance while bathing. Meantime you also can sip various herbal tea or water at the bar or have a nap on the hot stone platform. Cool place for kids too, with the separate pool, mini aqua park, swimming pool for adults was also beautiful though not the right season for swimming. Nice playground for infants and snooker tables for adults. We loved the breakfast too, many options including European food and coffee. Maybe one of the best benefits of choosing this hotel was proximity to the gorgeous mountain park also designed for families with young kids. The zigzag mountain road, the panoramic views and the hiking trail were simply amazing. Traveling that area means you may try local food which is goose, duck and home raised chickens, river fish and the main local specialty- rice cooked in the bamboo tree. All tasted great.

AAmideeThis is a lovely place to go for a night or two to just relax. Also a pet friendly place, so that makes is ideal for me! The front desk are really helpful and you can add them onto your wechat to contact them directly anytime. They provide all essentials to be comfortable. I did ask if I could have a kettle for inside my tent, for coffee, which they were able to provide for me. Dinner options, you can choose chicken hot pot or the crawfish hot pot at their reception, which you can do yourself by your tent, or tell them you’d like to cook it in their dining area. Otherwise you can also barbecue your own things at your camp sight. It’s suggested to take your own food to bbq there, as their choices are limited. They did provide me with some sweet potato when I asked, and the chicken hot pot was really tasty and filling! The tent was clean, comfortable and has AC. We stayed in the smallest tents they provide, and it was perfect for what we needed. They have a swimming pool facility that is open from 4:30-6:30pm only. It would be nice if was available in the morning as well!! There’s not a lot to do in the surrounding area of the resort. You can do fishing, go for walks through the forest along the stream. I suggest to take some activity things to do like badminton or other board games etc. There are great play areas for kids, and fun slides are incorporated into the designs of some of the rooms. There are plenty different types of tent facilities and some have some really nice privacy looking onto the stream and have some outdoor hot spring tubs (plunge pool). The small tent porches don’t have privacy, but they are adequate for a short stay in nature. Getting there is easy by didi or hired car, getting back you just need to make your search on the app more wide because the location is a bit isolated from busy areas, but otherwise that’s also not a problem.

GGuest UserThis is my second time visiting Jinxiu Xiangjiang. I've pretty much stayed at all the highly-rated hotels in the Baishuizhai area. Jinxiu Xiangjiang is the only one that offers rafting and is pet-friendly, which is why I chose it again for this trip with my parents. Our check-in experience started off a bit unpleasant. For two rooms costing over 1,000 RMB each (totaling more than 2,000 RMB), we were assigned tiny rooms, only about 10 square meters each, located at the entrance of a villa. It felt like they had converted a study or storage room into a bedroom. The villa didn't even have a private pool, and the private hot spring was covered in fallen leaves, looking quite desolate. Not to mention the wear and tear on the furniture in the rooms themselves. This is the downside of villa rooms: the configurations and amenities vary significantly. To ensure a better stay, I paid significantly more by booking through Ctrip compared to other channels, only to be assigned the smallest and worst rooms. Fortunately, after I complained, Ctrip's customer service and the hotel manager were very helpful and quickly upgraded us to rooms in the main building. Their response was quite prompt. **Facilities:** The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the ostentatious gold decor is quite a turn-off. However, the extensive facilities are great for a family trip: there are many herbal pools that seniors enjoy, and water slides and a wave pool that kids love. They also have a pet park, an adventure playground, horseback riding, and in the evenings, there are campfires and fireworks. Coupled with the Dafengmen rafting and via ferrata, it offers incredible value for money. **Important Note:** Dafengmen rafting is available from 11 AM or 12 PM until 3:30 PM, not all day, so plan your itinerary accordingly. Pets are not allowed on the rafting, but they can enter the scenic area. The reservoir is currently under maintenance, causing heavy traffic, so it's best to go rafting in the morning. For accommodation, if you prefer a more reliable stay and don't want to leave it to chance, opt for rooms in the main building. **Double German-themed Buffet Dinner or Set Meal:** The buffet has slightly improved since my last visit, with the freshly baked waffles at dinner being a nice addition. For breakfast, they've added more food stations in the lobby area to help manage queues and distribute food options. The restaurant itself is small and has limitations, but it's clear the hotel is making efforts to optimize and improve things.

MMarnaInChina2024/04/05-08 Park Plaza Hotel in Nankunshan in Guangdong The hotel's meals are truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China! They have put so much effort into my food, who cannot eat everything. The weekend there was really pleasant even though it was raining badly all the time. After I talked to the hotel and a manager for about 2 hours that evening when I arrived, to find out if they would be able to give me something to eat, because I'm allergic to several things, I really did not expect much. They said they would bring it to my room... What a pleasant surprise the next morning and the 2 other mornings !!! The most beautiful and most delicious food you can imagine!! Wow and they are far from cities, thus they prepared it with what they had!! 😊🌸🌻👍🏻 The staff were also so polite and friendly!! Unfortunately there was no map of the resort and also not clear signs. I couldn't understand the cryptic directions to the hotsprings the reception gave...😱 Thus I had to wait till the lights came on, then I could see where the lights at the pools were .. Perhaps they can put a ”roof” or cover over some pools, then it will be more enjoyable when raining... Because if the rain, the roof swimming pool was closed, but beautiful view from there. There are so many beautiful nature places nearby to explore and fir hiking, but unfortunately the weather was not good as the rain was pouring! Perhaps the hotel can buy the ugly murals or ruins or half-built buildings that damage and interrupt the beautiful views of trees... It is really a sore eye in the beautiful view... then they can renovate and finish the buildings... I really hope one day I can go again!! But everywhere I have been telling people of this great hotel and will keep on doing it!! 👍🏻🌻😊

LLvtuzuimeiderenThe room was spacious, bright, and reasonably clean, though I did notice some sticky residue on the vanity, seemingly left by the previous guest. The hotel boasts numerous hot spring pools on the hilltop and in grottoes, and the swimming pool is perfect for those looking to exercise. Surrounded by mountains, the air quality is excellent. We found the crayfish to be decent. However, I was disappointed that the complimentary beer, which was advertised, is apparently no longer offered after July. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of dishes. A significant drawback for us was the scarcity of EV charging stations; we couldn't find an available spot to charge our car. Given that the hotel has been open for 10 years, some of its facilities are starting to show their age. Overall, it was an acceptable experience.

GGuest UserRiver view rooms are only available with king beds; there are no twin-bed options for river views. Twin rooms, unfortunately, only offer views of the village rooftops. The surroundings were decent, and the water quality seemed clean enough. The kids had a great time. However, room cleanliness was only average. The small rug was visibly grubby; I didn't dare let my child walk on it barefoot. The bath towels were very old and even had holes. While they appeared clean, the holes clearly indicated they'd been in use for a very long time.

11892883****Overall, it was a very good stay. The room was a bit small, but clean, and the floor-to-ceiling windows were delightful, offering comfortable views of either the mountains or the sea. Every day felt like a dream meal (as shown in the pictures). This guesthouse is in Dongshan Village, and it seems to be the most upscale one there. The entire village also has a nice green environment, and the beach is right below. The guesthouse is very close to Jidiao Beach and Yangmeikeng, so the location is very convenient. It's best to stay on the 4th floor or higher; the sea view from the 3rd floor's windows is blocked by the trees below. There's a super large room with huge windows and a great view on the 5th floor (probably more expensive, haha). The owner is very friendly and the service is attentive. I'd suggest making the front desk area and the common corner areas a bit tidier.
