The high temperatures persisted, so we came to Changbai Mountain to escape the heat and stayed at the Yunshuilanting Hotel. Upon check-in, Manager Dong, knowing we were two seniors over 70, provided us with the warmest service imaginable. She patiently explained the surrounding area, important considerations, and evening activities, and even brought us local seasonal blueberries. It felt like home, with the warmth of children around us. Despite it being peak tourist season and the hotel being fully booked, the cleanliness and dining were still top-notch. Of all the places we've stayed in Changbai Mountain over the past few days, this was by far the best experience. Manager Dong is an excellent leader, managing an outstanding service team.

The air is fresh, and the hotel environment is comfortable. The convenient mountain trail makes it feel like the entrance to the Old Mountain Gate is just a few steps from the hotel. A hotel car picked us up after we came down the mountain. Oh, and on the bus from the high-speed rail station back to the hotel, it was just our family – that kind of service was amazing! The real volcanic hot springs were a hit with both kids, especially the fish pond. The butler service was almost perfect; they went out of their way to help me with problems and various requests. We also tried all the experiences the hotel offered. If you don't want to experience the hustle and bustle of the town, are going up to see Tianchi Lake with kids and want to avoid hassle, and your budget allows, I'd say go for it without hesitation.

During my stay at the hotel, the service was excellent, especially the concierge, Xiao Hui. He was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and taking care of every detail – a huge thank you to him! Also, the young lady at the front desk on the night shift on the 19th was very enthusiastic. However, I have to complain about the Chinese restaurant. My dad took my child there and ordered black truffle fried rice and stir-fried beef. I don't know if it was because they ordered too little, but the food never came. When they asked a female server about it, her attitude was extremely dismissive, just saying, ”Just wait!” I'm not sure if she wasn't properly trained or if she was just being selective with customers. Later, they asked a manager, who also couldn't give a definitive answer. In the end, they just ordered takeout to the room. Besides this one issue, everything else was great.

Traveling during the off-peak season, the hotel was excellent, and the front desk was incredibly responsible, taking care of everything. The hotel even has its own shuttle service with drivers who pick you up and drop you off wherever you need to go, and they even help you bargain! Much appreciated. Soaking in the hot springs while it snowed, then hitting the slopes at 8:30 AM – it was a fantastic experience.

The bunk beds alone deserve a perfect score! No child can resist them. They even provide bed rails. The hotel lobby has toys, so waiting for the shuttle isn't boring. Plus, the shuttles are frequent and the signs are clear. While Songguoli is a bit far from the commercial street, the shuttle service makes it acceptable, and the price is much cheaper than hotels near the commercial street, offering great value for money. The complimentary activities were also generous. We had two adults and two children, and even though one child wasn't tall enough for some activities, they let the older child play twice, which was very thoughtful. The hotel concierge was also very responsive. The evening firework show was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommended! The other performances were also good. I prefer it here over Wanda. The shuttle buses are more frequent, making for a better experience.

Five-star review! Jianshuihe Hot Spring Hotel is absolutely worth staying at. The hot spring water quality is excellent, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The private hot spring design is a huge plus. The service is warm and attentive, and the breakfast is abundant. Right outside, you'll find the beautiful '美人松' (a type of pine tree, likely a local landmark), and transportation to all the Changbai Mountain attractions is convenient. Soaking in the hot springs after hiking is incredibly relaxing – it's definitely my top choice for accommodation, highly recommended!

Stayed from September 1st-3rd with friends. Room: We received an upgrade to a mountain view room, and on clear days, you could see Changbai Mountain. The room was comfortable, and upon entering, there was a pleasant, comforting scent. The butler service was excellent. They communicated with us before check-in, arranged pickup, and proactively checked in after we settled to ensure everything was satisfactory and promptly resolve any issues. Their inquiries weren't just procedural; they genuinely solved problems. Breakfast and Dinner: Breakfast offered both Chinese and Western options, easily meeting five-star standards. We left feeling full and satisfied. For dinner, we had the hot pot set for two, which was definitely filling. The restaurant staff were all very warm and friendly. We felt one of the hams in the hot pot set had too much starch and asked to swap it for another dish. Although items in the set couldn't be changed, the manager still offered us a fruit platter as an apology. Environment: The hotel felt very homey and family-friendly. There were small animals for kids to enjoy and a coffee bookstore for business travelers. The attention to detail was impressive. The complimentary bar drink coupon even included a glass of red wine, which my friend said was excellent – an imported Chilean wine. Activities: Although Changbai Mountain canceled the hotel's VIP park access, we could still use the old mountain gate, which was more convenient than the regular tourist entrance. A tip for everyone: pre-booked tickets cannot be used even a second before your scheduled time, so don't arrive too early. We booked a stream trekking activity through the hotel and had a fantastic time, so much so that we missed our return bus. We contacted our butler, and they specially dispatched a private car to pick us up from the scenic area. We had a wonderful time during our two-day stay. All the staff were incredibly friendly. No matter if your request was outside their usual scope of responsibility, they handled it with kindness, actively sought solutions, and did everything they could. My accompanying friend, who has stayed in many high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, was also very impressed. They even said the service was better than some hotels costing ten thousand a day. Upon departure, we were given a small fridge magnet as a souvenir. The service was meticulously attentive. The resort's natural environment is simply stunning – quiet and therapeutic. Looking out from the balcony of the Hoolike Hotel, it feels a bit like a mini-Switzerland. Breakfast was also good, with a wide variety of options, catering to everyone in the family, especially the kids who were very happy. Now for the drawbacks. First, the shower uses energy-saving facilities with a time limit, which caused a bit of anxiety while showering. The air conditioning isn't central, and there's no AC in the living room at all, making it feel a bit stuffy even in late August. Housekeeping wasn't very thorough; when we moved the beds together, we found significant dust accumulation behind the headboard, which was concerning as my child has a dust mite allergy. The bedding and towels were a bit old and not very comfortable to use.

Erdaobaihe Town is about 2 kilometers away from the bustling downtown area with many restaurants, making it convenient to get to Enduoli and Yunding Market. Food delivery is also easy to order, with robots delivering right to your door. Mermaid Pine Park is just across the street. The room facilities and decor are quite good, and the hygiene is excellent. The breakfast looks abundant, but in reality, the variety isn't particularly wide, though the taste is decent. A highlight of the hotel is its hot springs. Besides being free for guests, they also welcome external visitors, so there's a fair amount of foot traffic. The hot springs feature indoor pools on the first and second floors. On the third or fourth floor (I can't recall which), there are many saunas and various themed relaxation rooms, including stone, mugwort, and traditional Chinese medicine saunas with different temperatures. The fifth floor has an outdoor swimming pool area. The management is quite mature; the whole process of getting a hand tag, changing shoes, changing clothes, and returning the tag is very smooth and convenient. Visually, the hygiene also seems good. There are several attentive aunties in the changing rooms who actively guide you. There are small spin dryers in the changing rooms, which are handy. If you rinse your swimsuit and use the dryer, it will dry much faster. Overall, the experience was very good. If you choose to stay in Erdaobaihe, this place offers good facilities and hot springs to enjoy.

After skiing, head straight to the Gokurakuyu hot spring, where the aroma of cypress wood fills the air. With both indoor and outdoor pools to choose from, the romantic experience of soaking in the snow is maximized, and all fatigue melts away. The butler service is meticulous, providing thoughtful care from check-in to check-out. The breakfast offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western dishes, ensuring you start your ski day full of energy. The hotel is well-equipped with a supermarket and a Japanese izakaya, fulfilling all your vacation needs in one place. Whether for a business retreat or a ski holiday, it's an impeccable top choice and has already been added to my must-visit list every year!
