I booked a twin room at Zhulao, and the front desk upgraded me to a Kaleidoscope Twin Room in the main building, 3rd floor. The balcony offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the Dongfengyun Kaleidoscope architectural complex. Right outside the hotel is the iconic Red Wine Bottle building, and photos taken from the balcony turned out stunning. The stay included admission tickets to the scenic area and shuttle service, so I didn't have to pay extra, making it super convenient to enter and exit the park. The tickets could be used unlimited times. I also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photos were excellent. I had two Chinese meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was decent. The set menu was a bit average, but ordering à la carte seemed better. Breakfast was quite rich. The bell staff at the entrance were very proactive, helping with luggage, and taking me to the scenic spots for photos and sightseeing in an electric cart. They also enthusiastically introduced the attractions and routes along the way. I also want to specially thank the floor attendant, Yang Fen, who helped with several requests during my stay.
My stay included a one-time use of the mini-bar: the drinks were quite good. The fruit platter on the first day had limited variety.
Dongfengyun Characteristic Town admission tickets and sightseeing car tickets: Convenient for guests to explore.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent.
However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.

Stayed for 2 nights from June 7-9, 2026. The special package I bought on Ctrip offered incredible value for money! The hotel staff were very attentive; they'd proactively greet guests anywhere within the hotel. The standalone villa was indeed spacious. Although the room facilities are quite old, you can still see the high standards and quality of the original setup! However, for a five-star hotel, providing purified water instead of mineral water for guests felt a bit like cutting corners. Sitting in the small courtyard, enjoying tea and conversation, was truly delightful. The landscaping design, arrangement, and maintenance throughout the villa area are all beautiful, especially the view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the restaurant plaza – it's absolutely breathtaking! The hotel's breakfast selection is extensive, and the quality is excellent, with a beautiful and comfortable dining environment. As a resort hotel, it achieves a high standard and a perfect balance across all aspects, including location, environmental quality, and service level.

Dali Shuanglang's 'Three-Color Cloud River' – A healing sea-view guesthouse where you can lie down and gaze at the entire Erhai Lake.
Stepping in, I was immediately struck by the stunning floral arch in the lobby. A flower wall combined with lush green landscaping frames the shimmering Erhai Lake outside the window, complete with an atmospheric swing. I booked a special king room, which has an overall rustic, original wood aesthetic. The solid wood beams and pillars, along with the distressed wooden headboard, exude quality. Warm brown wooden floors paired with soft lighting create a cozy atmosphere with a distinct Dali local flavor! The room boasts a full-panel, floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the panoramic Erhai Lake. The balcony has a comfortable lounge chair – perfect for sunbathing on a clear day, gazing at the distant Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, clouds, and water!

Located within the Honghe Water Town urban tourism complex in the southern part of Mile City, this hotel boasts convenient transportation. Adjacent to a wetland park, it enjoys lush greenery and a tranquil, beautiful setting. The surrounding commercial street offers a wide variety of businesses, making it a well-established and mature destination.
On the evening of my stay, the shower water temperature was slightly low. Upon receiving feedback, the butler promptly contacted the engineer for improvement. We suggest adding non-slip mats or floor towels to the shower areas and perhaps creating local attraction guides, souvenirs, and other gifts for guests.
Although still in its trial operation period, the service was warm and efficient, the rooms were clean and hygienic, and the experience of the signature storm hot spring and public soaking pools exceeded expectations. Compared to other local products, the price-performance ratio is outstanding, making it a worthwhile choice for future stays.
The duplex layout of the room is quite unique. Pulling back the living room curtains offers stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In the evening, you can enjoy the hot spring on the balcony while stargazing. The hot spring water is genuinely geothermal, leaving your skin feeling wonderfully smooth. The room is fully equipped, clean, and tidy, complete with complimentary fruit, snacks, drinks, and milk. It's very quiet, with beautiful surroundings and convenient parking. There's an electric shuttle service from the room to the restaurant and the hot spring complex. The hot spring complex features three hot spring pools and a large swimming pool, perfect for kids to splash around in. Both the breakfast buffet and the newly launched dinner buffet offer a wide variety of dishes, including many Lijiang local specialties. The stewed free-range chicken soup, in particular, is incredibly delicious! The staff are highly professional with excellent service attitudes, and our butler was very responsive. Our two-day stay was fantastic; both adults and children loved it, feeling right at home. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Lijiang. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly because of its quiet atmosphere and attention to detail. The room I stayed in featured an onsen-style bathtub combined with a shower area, and I appreciated that the hotel provided a bottle of sanitizing solution to enhance hygiene and guest comfort.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers self-service laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers on the rooftop, which is very convenient for longer stays. Guests are also welcome to use the rooftop onsen pool, providing a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing.
Although the rooms do not come with a minibar, the hotel compensates by offering complimentary ice cream and additional bottled drinking water at the reception level. While the ice cream was not delicious, the extra refreshments were a thoughtful touch.
It will be good if the hotel not to allow guests smoke in common area such as dining hall for breakfast.
Overall, this hotel stands out for its peaceful environment, cleanliness, convenient access to food and park, and thoughtful amenities at very reasonable room rate. I would gladly stay here again.
The room was very nice and comfortable. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 AM, and the receptionist was still waiting for us. The projector was great, the mattress was comfortable, and breakfast was provided, which was excellent. The service was also very warm and welcoming.
As for the foot bath tub, we probably didn't see it because we checked in so late.

The room was spotless, and I slept soundly. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has three restaurants! For a quick bite, there's the buffet. If you're craving Yunnan hotpot, head to Yiduo Cloud, and for Cantonese or Sichuan cuisine, Xile is the place. They really cover all taste preferences, and the prices are very reasonable. Having hot springs, dining, and accommodation all in one place made for a super convenient and relaxing experience!

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

MM244286****This guesthouse in Dali is absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, clean, and tidy with no overlooked corners. The bedding was incredibly soft, skin-friendly, and fresh, making for a super comfortable stay. The whole house is equipped with smart home features, which are simple and convenient to use – a real blessing for anyone who loves ease. The owner was warm and thoughtful, patiently answering all our questions and even recommending some local, lesser-known activities, which was incredibly heartwarming. The location is also convenient for getting around. The overall experience was top-notch. If you're coming to Dali, choosing this place is a no-brainer. I genuinely recommend it to all my friends!
HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan.
From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking.
The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations.
The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away.
What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

EEka SugiartoI truly want to leave a detailed five-star review for this wonderful homestay hidden inside Lijiang Ancient City, which easily becomes the highlight of my whole Yunnan travel journey. From the moment we booked online until we checked out a few days later, every single link of our accommodation exceeded my expectations.
First of all, the geographical location is unbeatable. It sits in a quiet alley inside the ancient town, just a 3-5 minutes’ leisurely walk away from the bustling main street, waterwheel landmark and multiple local snack streets. We could wander around ancient city lanes day and night conveniently, yet stay away from noisy crowds and loud commercial noises after returning to the courtyard, striking a perfect balance between convenient sightseeing and peaceful rest. The homestay itself is built in classic traditional Naxi wooden courtyard style, with well-arranged green plants, wooden corridors and delicate antique decorations everywhere; sitting in the courtyard sipping local tea while enjoying slow Lijiang wind is such a relaxing pleasure every afternoon.
Speaking of the guest room, it is absolutely spotlessly clean without any dust or strange odour at all. The space is larger than displayed on booking photos, with soft high-quality bedding that guarantees deep comfortable sleep after tired sightseeing around Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and nearby scenic spots. Bathroom supplies are complete, hot water runs stably all day long with strong water pressure, and high-speed stable Wi-Fi covers every corner of the room and courtyard, great for daily work and sharing travel photos online. Many rooms are equipped with private balconies, where we can overlook the layered ancient tile roofs of Lijiang old town, and even catch distant glimpses of snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on sunny days.
The 24-hr service is unbeatable too. Our front office lady, Xiao Xiong, is extremely helpful and always anticipates our needs well. I truly enjoyed my stay in BaiyueXiang!

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely incredible! Definitely the best I've ever stayed at. The environment is stunning, and the facilities are brand new and highly intelligent. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame the outdoor scenery like a painting, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze is incredibly relaxing. The best part, though, is the 24-hour service; the staff are super attentive and thoughtful. They even provide pick-up and drop-off to Baisha Ancient Town, plus a ton of extra services like Naxi handmade tie-dyeing, bonfires, fireworks, and BBQ. All in all, this was an unexpectedly perfect experience. I've already recommended it to all my friends – a definite must-mark!
