"This is a wonderfully isolated property; quiet, restful and with amazing staff. Despite the isolatoin it is well situated for exploring Assisi and the suronding towns. The photographs capture the unique beuty of this place. The restaurant offers some of the best food I've had. For a basis we travel to Italy every spring. The excellence of service. The restauant manager takes great pride in the food and service. Nearly all the food is locally sourced. The only challenge with the property is getting there. The last mile into the property is an improved but rutted dirt road. We were in sports car and could not drive the final mile into the property. The staff generously would drive us to and from a parking lot below the town of Armenzano. The owner informed us that they are improving the road this month (May 2024)"

Very friendly staff and the room where breakfast is served is really beautiful and intimate. Overall I absolutely recommend it. Although there is no lift since it is a period building, the structure really deserves my compliments! Well done!"

"It's like a boutique hotel, there's no reception, the first floor is a restaurant, and it seems like a one-night stay for young couples. There's no elevator, and although they can help you with your luggage, you have to climb several stairs every time you go to the store. There's nothing to eat in the breakfast, and it's old and not good quality. Even though the first floor is a restaurant, there's nothing to eat. There's not even a coffee machine. This is not a suitable accommodation for families."

"I stayed at this hotel around Ferragosto 2025. Everything was perfect. The hotel is new, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean, with extremely kind and welcoming staff. It's a great location for visiting Assisi and the surrounding area. I traveled with my dog, who was also made to feel incredibly welcome. At the end of the holiday, the staff even offered me a place to stay for my pet. I will definitely return and recommend this beautiful property to everyone."

"What a fabulous hotel! It’s really high end (with prices to match) and definitely worth it. It’s an immaculate property, and the staff is incredible. Everyone was so helpful and kind. I did a few dumb things like leave my window open when I went out and rain streamed in. This was 7 p.m. and housekeeping was on it! They did turn-down service. Some biscotti await in the room. Breakfast was wonderful. Really, they had everything from fresh pastries to charcuterie to eggs, smoked salmon etc. to order. As for the spa, I’d go just for that. It’s built into the old Roman amphitheater and has all the Roman bath circuits plus a massive bath/pool with one end as a whirlpool and also waterfall jets. Places to relax, tea. I spent hours there. My room, 15, had lovely views. The bathroom was cramped. A small shower, no bidet. And there was noise from the bar (but a hallway door that could be shut). Overall, just a wonderful experience."
