"Extremely satisfied! The location is super convenient – Olive Young and Daiso are just around the corner downstairs, perfect for quick restocks. There are also many other drugstores nearby. Jagalchi Fish Market is only a 10-minute walk away, and Lotte Department Store and supermarket are just 15 minutes. It's also very close to the subway station, so you can drop off your shopping at the hotel before heading out to shop more. So many great things to buy! There are also tons of restaurants nearby, so all in all, very convenient. The room's AC is strong, there's plenty of hot water, and even a washing machine (though you need to bring your own detergent). It has a large balcony perfect for drying clothes. The room is very new and clean, making it ideal for families with children. Highly recommended! 👍🏻"

With a stay at Magnum Nampo Hotel in Busan (Nampo-dong), you'll be steps from Nampodong Street and Gukje Market. This hotel is 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from BIFF Square and 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Jagalchi Fish Market. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Treat yourself to a stay in one of the 30 guestrooms, featuring heated floors and Smart televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.

"My first trip to Busan was an unpleasant experience. The battery in the room's password lock was low. There was no one at the front desk after 10 PM, which made me feel helpless as a traveler. Fortunately, Ms. Hana Jo from the hotel next door was incredibly helpful; she called the hotel's customer service to communicate. After much negotiation, the hotel suggested we move to another hotel. Without any toiletries, clothes, or personal belongings, we felt completely insecure. We decided to buy a new door lock battery ourselves and asked the hotel again for technical support. Eventually, the hotel sent an older gentleman to try the battery. After two hours of repeated attempts, the lock was finally opened. The hotel should seriously review its operational support hours; otherwise, it will only cause inconvenience to travelers, damage the hotel's reputation, and create a poor impression for guests."

"This hotel is quite close to Busan Station, and it's easy to get there by taxi. The view is amazing, with the balcony directly facing the sea. A stroll along the nearby coastline in the evening is also very pleasant. There's a convenience store right downstairs, but it's often crowded. If you walk a bit further to the right, you'll find other convenience stores. We were very satisfied with our stay, it's just a shame our itinerary didn't allow us to spend more time at the hotel~"

The hotel offers a variety of room types, from Standard and Deluxe rooms perfect for couples to Royal and Family rooms accommodating up to five guests. "The room was exactly as pictured on the hotel's website. Pulling back the curtains revealed a direct sea view. It was very spacious; we easily fit four suitcases, and the bar area and microwave were incredibly convenient. I was also very pleased with the electronic wardrobe. Best of all, the location is super convenient—it's close to the subway, less than a five-minute walk to BIFF Square, and within ten minutes of Bupyeong Market. If I ever come back to Busan, I'll definitely stay here again."

Good Ol' Days Hotel

I booked this place over a month in advance, and it has a lovely modern-retro vibe, very cozy. The shower and toilet are separate, and it even comes with a Dyson hairdryer. The room feels different from a typical hotel room. On the ground floor is a coffee shop owned by the same person, which closes at 9 PM. You can use your card to enter and exit through the side door. Upon check-in, you get two complimentary Americanos (you can swap them for other drinks by paying the difference). It's very convenient if you're visiting Yeongdo, though it's a bit far from Gwangalli and Haeundae. Little surprises: 1. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower caps, etc., are provided. 2. The mini-fridge drinks and snacks are free. 3. A handwritten note and a creative cultural souvenir are gifted. Amenities: Convenience store: Across from the coffee shop. Shopping: Nampo-dong Walking Street, Lotte Department Store, Olive Young, etc. (10-minute walk). Restaurants: Many dining options nearby, and the owner also provides recommendations – check the check-in guide. Minor regrets: 1. The bed frame has sharp corners, and due to its placement, it's easy to accidentally bump into it. You need to be mindful of your walking path. 2. The separate shower room has no place to put clothes. I booked Room 2 this time; I wonder if other room types have a better layout. This place is very relaxing, perfect for a two-day getaway to clear your mind. The owner is also very enthusiastic. Afterwards, you can switch to another hotel in Haeundae or Gwangalli to enjoy the sea, explore attractions, and go shopping.

I'm already missing this cozy place now that I'm back home writing this review 😭. As someone who's visited Busan multiple times, I genuinely recommend it. If you don't absolutely need an ocean view room, this is an incredibly good value for money option. It's just a short walk from the Line 3 subway station, and after a few stops on Line 3, you can transfer to Line 2, which gets you to Gwangalli or Haeundae in just a few more stops. Plus, the mattress here is super comfortable! I only stayed two nights this time and it wasn't enough! The air conditioning has an indirect wind mode, which keeps you feeling consistently dry without the discomfort of a direct cold blast. I'll definitely be staying here again next time 🥺 (P.S. The front desk lady immediately switched to Chinese mode when she saw my passport, so introverts, don't hesitate to book!)

Busan Beach Hotel Busan Songdo

View - If you are keen in wharf / harbor view, this hotel (see images) is along the harbour next to wharf, Songdo, so there is no beach on the wharf. At 4am you can hear commotion at the wharf, interesting for a different view from city or sea view. Nearest Songdo beach is still at distance, it is not at door step. Booked a large room for family of 4, comes with 1 Queen bed, 1 single, the last pax ended on the floor with Futons. (Although I indicated i had 4 pax, housekeeper does not seem to be aware, replenishes only for 3 pax?). Small hand towels are issued as bath towel, just be aware. Quite common for smaller hotel accommodation here (inn, AirBnB). Floor heater, water heater works, daily housekeeping. Has bath tub not used at all for winter. Good balcony for sitting in the cold to watch the wharf bustle. Pax using futon had a few bites by bugs, not sure if flew in from outside the room, else the room is clean. Nice open terrace at roof top with telescope to look into Lotte mall at distance, and the open sea after the bridge on the right. Complimentary breakfast offering at basement kitchen is available until 9AM (not 9.30am) - kitchen staff will remind you to finish up at close to 9am, and please clear your dishes at collection area, discard leftovers, return cultery, utensils. Breakfast spread : Cereal with milk (only on weekend), ONE slice of toast with jam, egg/s, one fruit or yoghurt, one coffee/tea, ONE juice, one instant noodles (if you want). Only tried for first morning, other mornings has similar menu on the wall. Staff - looks like husband wife team. Friendly to greet at reception at upper level. Safety wise - As accommodation is located at harbour with large prime movers and containers movements, it is better to travel in groups to look out for each other. I note the drivers are generally careful to look out for pedestrians on the harbour, wharf. Can be a bit dark at night in the surrounding area of the accommodation. Plus point - Double entrance door which allow you to lock inner door in case main door is being accessed externally. Location - About 20mins or so by bus to Busan shopping area where the crowd is. Not too far, The more popular tourist spots, beach sites is further up northeast at Haeundae beach, which is about 1 hour bus ride away. Pricing -, for the pricing, there are better known hotel chains going at more economic rates. So need to do proper research before booking. Else pleasant stay, simple, large room, no fanfare.

It's very close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk. The room is a bit small, and laundry service is quite expensive, more so than other hotels. There's a front desk staff member who speaks Chinese, which is very convenient.

The room was exactly like the picture! You can get a beautiful view of the Gwangalli beach and enjoy the sea breeze at the balcony. The location was great. Right below the property is a lively street filled with restaurants, cafes, bars, photo booth studios, game arcades, convenience stores etc. Luggage storage is available before check in and the host will send you the password for the digital lock on the day itself. The room size was just nice for two people. The only thing to note is that it can feel a little tight if you have two 28-inch suitcases fully opened at the same time, so we kept ours closed when not in use. However, considering the amazing location and stunning beach view, this was only a minor inconvenience.

Facilities: The air conditioning in the room was problematic. It worked fine on the first night, but started turning itself off automatically on the second night. Hotel staff came and told us to use the remote control instead of the panel, which temporarily fixed the issue. However, on the third day, the remote control also started restarting infinitely. Luckily, it wasn't too hot those days, so we didn't really need the AC. Hygiene: The room was cleaned daily, but the bed wasn't re-made. Environment: The hotel's location is excellent, right above Haeundae Market. Everything you need is downstairs, and the beach is just a two-minute walk away. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Haeundae subway station Exit 3. Walking to the Mipo Station for the Haeundae Blue Line Park Capsule Train takes about 20 minutes along the beach, which doesn't feel too far at all. Service: The front desk has a scale for weighing luggage before you leave, and there's also a microwave if you need to heat up food.

5 stars is Ctrip's limit, not this hotel's limit!!!!! We stayed here for 6 days and 5 nights, and on the fourth day, I sprained my ligament. A big thank you to the front desk lady at Lavie D'or Haeundae for helping us find a large hospital 400 meters from the hotel on the map. We were in and out in 2 hours. She also reassured me that many people sprain their ankles in Korea, and she was very kind. Facilities: Excellent. The toilet was automatic, and the shower had great water pressure and was super hot. The only minor issue was that the blinds let in too much light, making it very bright in the mornings. I'd suggest adding blackout curtains. Hygiene: Very clean, spotless. Environment: Good. The room was spacious, with plenty of room even with two large suitcases open. Service: The front desk was incredibly helpful, providing whatever we needed. Housekeeping is every 4 days, and you can pick up water and fresh towels downstairs daily.

The hotel's location is truly fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk from the subway station, and the surrounding area is great for exploring. There are plenty of food options, a market nearby, and the beach is also very close. You can even walk to Haeundae Station from here. Strolling along the beach was incredibly relaxing. Regarding the accommodation, check-in is strictly after 3 PM; not even 2:30 PM is allowed. English communication was very good, and having a Wowpass machine in the lobby was super convenient. Breakfast was average, but they have a ramen machine, which is a plus! The dining area is small, but they manage breakfast by assigning time slots, which is great because it prevents everyone from crowding together. The room is small and can't fit two large suitcases. The desk lamp was also broken; I had to go to the lobby to ask for a replacement. From the balcony, you can catch a small glimpse of the beach, but the balcony itself looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, covered in dust. The general cleaning seemed quite perfunctory; there were a bunch of stickers next to the coffee table (probably left by the previous guest, who clearly lacked manners). I took photos to document everything, please see the pictures.

The location is fantastic! Downstairs, there are many seafood stir-fry restaurants, and it's just a straight walk to Nampo-dong Street, which is where I wanted to go, so no getting lost. One street is bustling, and the other is more local. You can find everything you want to buy there, the only problem is not having enough money! It's also only a 5-minute walk to the subway station. The room rate is very reasonable, and best of all, the hotel always smells so nice and comforting.
