"This was our first time in Beirut and we weren’t sure what to expect. The Ramada downtown was everything we could ask for - at a fraction of the price of other luxury hotels. The room was spotlessly clean with a great comfortable bed and ample space. Overall very well maintained. The location of the hotel is also excellent - in a safe area surrounded by great food and seaside walking paths. The hotel also has a generator so power cuts weren’t an issue at all. Above all, what really made the hotel standout was the staff and the three individuals at the front desk. World class professional service with the warmth and class of the Lebanese people. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to share helpful hints and tips given we were first time travellers to Lebanon. In particular, as other reviewers have stated, Amira was exceptional - so kind and welcoming and amazing at her job. The staff really make this hotel special. We hope to return and will definitely stay at the Ramada downtown when we do. Thank you to Amira and the Ramada Downtown team for taking such wonderful care of us!"

"The hotel was good and pleasant, lost power is a normal thing in Lebanon. The hotel has very good back up battery for that and return with electricity within 1 minute. The only thing was that the water for shower is somehow salty, despite this point, I will return again."

"Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations for the price paid. The breakfast presentation and service were below standard, and the concierge offered very limited information or assistance regarding the city. Guests with cars should be aware that valet parking is mandatory and charged as an extra fee, even for those staying at the hotel. There is no option to decline this service. Additionally, despite being a beachfront hotel and the weather still being pleasant in mid-October, both the pool and beach services were closed. Overall, I expected better service and amenities for the rate charged."

"They took long to check me in, they asked for full payment in advance with additional payment as sort if insurance. When I arrived they receptionist was having harsh argument with customers because they wanted to charge them for something. The place was clean, but it can barely see the sea. The service was so slow. I door key stopped working and I had to go 3 times for the receiption to activate it. The receptionist Samar was so unfriendly. Upon checking out, they wanted to charge me 7 dollars for one minute local call, I argued it is too expensive, so they charged me 5 dollars."

The hotel also has nice and helpful staff, especially the receptionist Karen, who was very helpful with us and all the staff. The rooms were clean and tidy, and cleaning services were done every day. The isolation between the rooms and the street was very good, and the breakfast was very good."
