"⭐ 1/5 – The most hostile hotel experience we have ever had in Spain This was, without question, the worst hotel experience we have ever had in Spain. The hotel is old, dated and poorly maintained. The rooms were dirty and had a persistent damp, musty smell. The humidity inside was so intense that it triggered allergy symptoms, making the room genuinely uncomfortable to stay in. Housekeeping was extremely disappointing — during our stay, our beds were made only once. There is no refrigerator in the room, and even water comes at an extra cost. These may seem like small details individually, but together they perfectly describe the atmosphere of this hotel: instead of feeling welcomed and cared for, you feel as though everything is designed to make your stay less comfortable. The entire place feels hostile rather than hospitable. The one thing we genuinely enjoyed was the food, which was very good. Unfortunately, that positive aspect was completely overshadowed by what happened in the restaurant. The restaurant manager's behavior was absolutely unacceptable. After I told him that I intended to file an official complaint regarding the way we had been treated, he told me that if I filed the complaint, I would not be allowed to have dinner that evening. I was subsequently made to leave the restaurant together with my children and our friends. One of my children became frightened by the situation and later that night became sick and vomited. No family should have to experience something like this while on holiday. When I requested the official complaint form, I was initially given only an informal hotel form instead. Dirty rooms, dampness, inadequate housekeeping and a complete lack of basic comfort would already have been enough for a negative review. But the way we were treated — especially after simply stating that I wanted to exercise my right to make a complaint — turned a disappointing stay into an upsetting, humiliating and completely unacceptable experience. A hotel is supposed to make its guests feel welcome. This place made us feel exactly the opposite. Never again."

"I was so scared after reading the reviews. But upon arrival, it felt right immediately. The hostel looks very cozy and authentic. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. The beds were good and the room clean! The fan cools the room down well. Of course, you sometimes hear holidaymakers in the evening, but there is absolutely no disturbance. It is a quiet street with two mini-supermarkets. At the end of the street, you walk straight onto the beach and can head towards the tourist area or the center. The bar/kitchen is closed in the afternoon, but the staff still made me a delicious espresso. My youngest son was dreading a long hike, and I didn't know what to do anymore. The sweet man working there grabbed his laptop and showed me the route via Google Earth. What a relief! Happy kid, happy mom! And we took a beautiful walk, El Cami de Ronda! Highly recommended! There is so much beauty to see along the coast there. For a low-budget price/hostel, we had a first-class experience! Homely atmosphere and warm people! The cleaning is perfect and the cleaning staff is also very friendly! The hotel room was cozy with a nice balcony overlooking the famous rock of Blanes. Everything is within walking distance! Just book, don't hesitate! Hasta la proxima! Fue una visita excellente! Gracias por todo❤️"

"Overall, I’d describe this hotel as fine. The hotel itself isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t return because of the location. The room looked clean and the bedding was spotless, but because the hotel is so old and dated, it never really felt clean. The hard floors constantly felt dirty underfoot, so I’d definitely recommend bringing slippers. We had a couple of issues during our stay. The shower didn’t always heat up properly, and on one occasion the bathroom tap ran yellow water. Both issues seemed to sort themselves out, but it wasn’t a great first impression. The air conditioning was free and worked well enough, which was appreciated. The breakfast was also a real positive. We had pastries and coffee every morning, which saved us money, and I know many nearby hotels don’t include breakfast. The pool is quite small and the water stays very warm, so it isn’t very refreshing on hot days. It was never too busy, but there were no umbrellas over the sunbeds, meaning there was very little shade. The rooms also don’t have a fridge, and no complimentary bottled water is provided. We ended up paying around €3 for a bottle of water but had no way of keeping it cold. The receptionist was friendly, although we didn’t have much interaction with the other staff. The Wi-Fi is free, but nobody tells you that you need to ask reception for the password. We only found out on our second to last day. The biggest issue by far is the location, and I genuinely wish I’d known this before booking. The beach itself is lovely, but the surrounding area felt very run down, with very little to do. We struggled to find good restaurants, the bars all felt very similar and overpriced, and there was very little atmosphere. Even a local taxi driver told us there had been trouble in the area. If you’re hoping to explore, be prepared to spend a lot of your holiday travelling. We wanted to visit Lloret de Mar and found that by the time we’d walked to the bus stop, waited for the bus and made the journey, it was taking around an hour each way. Barcelona would have meant around three hours of travelling. We spent more time getting places than actually enjoying them, and even Lloret wasn’t dramatically different. If this hotel were in a better location, I’d probably rate it higher. The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable for the price, but the location completely changed our holiday and is the reason I wouldn’t book again."

"Lots of negative points: - poorly cleaned when we arrived - the parking lot floods when it rains - very uncomfortable sofa bed (reception offered to add a mattress which doesn't change anything) - poor wall and window insulation, and the curtains (no blinds) don't block out light and have holes in them. The only positive point is the view."
