Wyndham Garden Buffalo Downtown ★★★
"The room is not bad, the worst is the breakfast, no hot food, no yogurt, only a few slices of bread and coffee, and there is a special charge for breakfast. In fact, the hotel said that their breakfast is included in the room rate, and there is no special charge. I don’t know why Ctrip. There are rates with and without breakfast."

"My last stay here was quite good, but this time I got a connecting room. At 3 AM, I could hear every word from the room next door, plus the air conditioner kept cycling on and off loudly. I barely got any sleep. The pillows were also incredibly flat."

"Everything good, except the parking situation. We had to pay for parking in a municipal lot two blocks away, $13.50 overnight. Felt uneasy leaving the car there, but it was intact in the morning."

"The soundproofing is very, very poor. When you knock on or close the door in other rooms, it feels like your own room. The elevator floor is sticky and the public area is dirty. Parking spaces are very tight."

"The hotel is an old building with hundreds of years of history. The rooms are spacious and check-in and check-out are very convenient and fast. It is in the city center, but Buffalo itself does not have much nightlife. In winter, most restaurants and shops are closed after 5 pm."

"We were travelling to Buffalo to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play the Buffalo Sabres and decided it would be fun to spend the night. We wanted to bring our doggie too, so we needed to find a pet friendly place that would be close enough to the KeyBank Center and the Anchor Bar, where we wanted to have dinner. We found this pleasant looking hotel, which advertises itself as the oldest Hotel in Buffalo. We opted for the Double Room that came with 2 Double Beds. The price was $232 for the night including taxes and with a $25 surcharge for our dog. We had to wait a little while at check-in while the girl working the counter checked in other guests. Her name was Sam and she was very friendly and helpful. We were able to get our room keys (yes - actual keys) and check into our room pretty quickly. It was a nice room with a nicely appointed bathroom. There was no Air-Conditioning and the room was pretty stuffy, so we had to open the windows to cool it off. Later that night I had to go down to the front desk to ask for a bathtub plug as there wasn't one in the room and we wanted to have a bath - Sam was able to find one for me pretty quick. The elevator is old but fast and its obvious that there are a lot of people living in this hotel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - as far as Im concerned it makes it quite safe. We walked down the street a couple of blocks to the Anchor Bar for dinner and then caught an Uber to see the game. When we returned we needed to air out the room again as it had gotten quite stuffy while we were gone. Even though we were up on the 7th floor it was quite noisy outside from the street and there was some kind of 24 hour pharmacy just below us that had people screaming and fighting at times. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, the staff were great and the price wasn't too bad."

"All fine except one thing: the air conditioner device was quite noisy when working. And when shut-down, the room got cold. We loved the complementary parking, drinks and the simple breakfast."
