"A family hotel run by ******* compatriots. Located in the center of Basong Village. We called to confirm at 10:30 pm and placed an order. We arrived at 1:30 am. We knocked on the door and the proprietress was still waiting for us. There were no slippers or towels in the room and no room card was required. It was a two-story ******* house in the shape of a Chinese character U. On the left side of the door was the restaurant. It was a typical ******* style. They also provided porridge and pickled mustard in the morning. At the foot of Mount Everest, except for the high-end B&Bs starting at 500 yuan, the express accommodation conditions were average, but much better than the bunk beds at the base camp…"

"I highly recommend the Yunzuo Xingguang Hotel (Everest Town branch). It was the best accommodation experience during our Everest trip. Even at an altitude of over 4,000 meters, we experienced no altitude sickness symptoms like headaches or chest tightness. Plus, with underfloor heating throughout the room, it was very warm at night, allowing us to sleep comfortably all night long and completely shake off our travel fatigue. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with a good balance of dishes, including noodles, porridge, various side dishes, and hot food. The taste was great, and we could eat our fill, ensuring we had plenty of energy for our trip to see Mount Everest. "It was fantastic! The location is quite far inside the scenic area. The hotel helps arrange the shuttle bus, and you can board directly at the entrance. It only takes 30 minutes from the hotel to the base camp.
