"The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was definitely convenient, making it easy to get around. However, the room could have been cleaner and the overall cleanliness was below my expectations. If you’re staying here, I would suggest not expecting too much in terms of room condition and cleanliness. That said, the friendly staff and convenient location are the main positives."

"Overall was okay as a stay for hotel, maybe for gym equipment, lacking weights and more variety of equipment to use. Hotel beds and everything else is more or less comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast is average overall, not fantastic but still good to eat if you don’t plan to travel out in the morning for food. Convenient to travel from hotel to other destinations."

"We enjoyed our stay. Room was kept clean and a card was placed inside the room so air-con could be kept on even if we left the room - crucial given the heatwave sweeping across Northeast Asia. Good location to take buses around Taichung/other cities and to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport as well. One small complaint would be that the soundproofing of the rooms is not as good, and we sometimes heard the sound of people above us, especially if they were moving something or lying down hard on their beds. But otherwise no complaints and we enjoyed our stay."

"Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad."

"The location is fantastic, just across from Taichung Station, about a 5-minute walk. Check-in was supposed to be after 3 PM, but we arrived before 2 PM and the front desk checked us in immediately, which was a big plus. We were given a quiet room on a high floor as requested. The room wasn't large, but the bed was incredibly comfortable, and my child and I slept very well. Nowadays, hotels in Taiwan promote environmental protection, so they don't provide things like toothbrushes and towels, and there's no bottled water, which is a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. A few minor flaws: 1. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly; there was a lot of hair on the faucet. I saw it as soon as I entered and asked the cleaning lady at the door to come and remove it. 2. The pillows were too low. When we came back at night and wanted to add more pillows, we were told that housekeeping was closed and it seemed like there would be an extra charge. 3. The disposable slippers were of extremely poor quality; they tore after only a few minutes. This is very inconsistent with the price and high rating of the hotel; it would be great if this could be improved. 4. There are free drinks, snacks, and coffee in the public area on the first floor, but the staff usually don't proactively mention it. We only sat down for a few minutes to have a drink before leaving. This is actually a plus, but of course, if cost is a consideration, not proactively mentioning it is acceptable."

"This hotel is close to Feng Chia Night Market and offers convenient parking. The rooms are new, clean, and modernly designed, with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The breakfast selection is extensive, and they even offer a late-night snack service, which is a nice touch."

"This hotel is in a perfect location very near to the Taichung Train Station and just a short walk to the famous Miyahara, making sightseeing and travel incredibly easy. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was also super convenient for quick snacks and essentials. Absolutely loved the breakfast buffet options, which offered a great variety of delicious choices every morning. Another huge plus was having a bathtub in the room, which was amazing to enjoy and relax in after a whole day of traveling. While it was a bit weird that the self-service laundry machines were located right by the children's playground area, the overall experience was still good and convenient. Highly recommend staying here!"

"It’s located near to Taichung Station, but not right outside of it (that one is Branch 1 instead of Branch 3, the staff will point you the right direction if you accidentally entered Branch 1). The room is not big, but has all the necessary functions, and it is very clean and well maintained. There are also some free night snacks available for customers."

"I booked a king-sized bed room and was upgraded to a triple room upon check-in, which was super spacious and amazing! It's right next to the MRT station and bus stop, so transportation is very convenient. Downstairs, drinks are free, and instant noodles are free to eat. You can also wash and dry your clothes for free. The soundproofing is decent; I didn't hear any noise at night unless someone was talking extremely loudly in the hallway, so I slept very well. The room and bathroom were clean. The only downside was a strange odor in the bathroom that needs to be improved. If the bathroom door wasn't closed, the smell would spread into the room, which was quite unpleasant and definitely a drawback. Staying on a weekday offers great value for money."

"I had such a great stay at Taichung Oku Hotel! The place has a super stylish design—everything feels modern and chic, which made the whole vibe really enjoyable. My room was spacious and comfy, way bigger than I expected, so it was perfect for relaxing after a day out in Taichung. The guest service team was fantastic too—friendly, helpful, and always ready to make things easier. They really added to the experience and made me feel welcome. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hotel that combines great style, comfort, and service!"
