"For our trip to Noboribetsu Onsen, we chose to stay in the South Wing Family Room at Dai-ichi Takimotokan. The room was quite spacious by Japanese hotel standards, and the 'one night, two meals' experience was fantastic! During check-in, they asked for our preferred dinner time – the first seating at 5:30 PM and the second at 7:00 PM. The front desk provided dinner vouchers, which you just take to the third floor of the main building for your meal. The buffet dinner quality was pretty good; crab legs were unlimited, the salmon was nice, and there was a good selection of desserts and ice cream. The hotel's location is also excellent, with Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) and the Bear Park within walking distance. After checking in, we took a stroll around Hell Valley, and in the evening, we enjoyed the hotel's hot spring. The onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths and is quite large. The hot spring water had a strong sulfur smell, and our skin felt wonderfully smooth afterward. The only downside to the hotel is the early check-out time at 10 AM. Breakfast also runs until 10 AM, with the last entry at 9:30 AM, so checking out at 10 AM felt a bit rushed. Overall, though, this hotel is really great!"
