There's quite a lot of facility such as laundry machine, swimming pool, snack selling. Good lacation nearby restaurant amd drink.

The hotel is quiet distant from the main street. But overall facility is great.

I would not recommend staying here. Lots of small ants in the room and there is no service whatsoever. The location is not the greatest but I found a very nice vegetarian restaurant right in front of the hotel and there is a freshly baked croissant shop on the road which is worth a visit.

The cleaners should be better but for the others things in room quite good.

People are the heart of any business. My family and I have now stayed at Huay Kaew Palace 2 on three separate occasions over a period of 10 years. For me, we keep coming back because the service provided has always been excellent. I will not speak for others, but I have never had a negative interaction with anyone associated with HKP2...ever. Focusing on our most recent stay, we arrived late on the evening of the first night of our reservation. The check in process took less than 15 minutes. The room and amenities were adequate for our purposes. The room was immaculately clean. The wifi and the television worked (although we did not use the television much). When we left, if we dropped off the key card at the front desk, our room would be cleaned while we were out. The desk and housekeeping staff are good at their jobs and always had a pleasant demeanor. Over the years, one change has occurred that I wish would come back -- in the past, a breakfast buffet was available. This is no longer the case. I understand that there are good reasons why this might be the case, but I enjoyed having breakfast in the downstairs lobby at the beginning of the day in the past. We travel to Thailand for one reason -- family. Our family in America s 7; our family in Thailand is 15. My wife's parents, her brothers and their wives and children all live very close to HKP2 and the hotel acts as a meeting place and central location from which all other activities originate. I foresee returning to the Huay Kaew Palace 2 as often as we travel to Chiang Mai as long as the standards of service remain as high as they have up to now. I have no negative opinions in relationship to my stays at this hotel.

I stayed here about 10 years ago, it was a good new well-kept hotel and cost 420 baht. Now the price is about 900 baht. The room costs a maximum of 300 baht. The homeless shelter looks good from the outside in the photo too. The rooms are very old, they haven't been renovated for a long time, everything is flimsy and shabby, it feels like you spent the night in an abandoned house. There is no cleaning at all. Apparently they only change the bed linen and wipe the middle of the room. It was so unpleasant to touch everything. A thick layer of dust on the wall above the bed, cobwebs on the ceilings. The bed is not comfortable. The sofa by the window is dirty, greasy and broken from below. The shower is moldy and has a thick layer of dirt. There is no soundproofing under the windows. For such a price, this is unacceptable. They take a deposit of 300 baht. The staff at the counter is friendly. In general, if they lower the price and clean everything well, it will not be bad. I don't understand why other reviews are good.

I didn't understand the positive comments. It's very old. Everything is degraded. Only a few people at the reception are nice: Cute, the two boys and two other women. The breakfast is appalling for the price. The same dishes every day and reheated from the day before. A few pieces of watermelon that you have to ask for, as for the fruit and the rest it's sausages, a soup with only meatballs, fried eggs, disgusting rice. There you go, I made a complaint to trip.com for false advertising because it's shameful. The bathroom was not washed, the equipment at the swimming pool was totally degraded, everything was lying around everywhere, stored in places. In short. I'll stop there

It was very simple, the furniture was old, and there was no hair dryer. I asked the front desk if it would be too noisy to be on the street, as the hotel was very close to Chiang Mai Airport and needed a quiet space. He said no, the noise from airplanes at night and in the morning, the noise from motorcycles and cars in the morning made it impossible to fall asleep. What was even more annoying was that the clothes hanger in the bathroom fell down, and all the washed towels fell off.

This place is relatively far behind Chiang Mai University, but it is suitable for travelers who stay here for a long time. You ride a motorcycle when you go out. You can rent a motorcycle just opposite. There is a 7-11 in the nearby small market, which is suitable for solo travel.
