📍 Yeni, Atatürk Blv. NO: 86, Didim

"Environment: Located on the main road of Didi Ma, with restaurants and Starbucks on either side of the entrance. Facilities: Relatively new. Breakfast is on the top floor; the selection is decent, and the view is expansive, with large cruise ships visible in the sea."

📍 Akbük, Fevzi Paşa Mahallesi, Atanaj Caddesi Numara: 32, Didim

"We are here just now and I have to say the food really is awful I've had an upset stomach all day from it. The hotel is very run down, our room is in a small wooden shack with a tiny toilet area that doesn't even have anywhere to hang your towels while you are in the shower. Both the bathroom door and the front door keep sticking. There are no British channels only one news which is in English but from Turkey so very poor. And my mini fridge doesn't work!! Some of the staff are lovely others are absolute d***s. There is nowhere nearby to exchange currency I can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel and they didn't have a currency exchange at reception even 3 star hotels have currency exchange especially if the nearest one is in town. They don't have any maps of the hotel site and I'm completely at a loss as to where this a la carte restaurant is nor of the local area. The only good thing about this place is the beach, the water is lovely and the sand decently clean. I do like our maid as well she is doing a good job. There is no board to tell guests what the entertainment will be of an evening so take a guess or take a chance. This hotel is not even 3 stars I would give it 2 at best and that's only because it's sunny!!"

Laur Hotels Experience & Elegance

"I would like to give a completely honest and comprehensive review of this hotel for those whom it may concern. Me and my wife stayed at the Laur hotel from the 1st of July until the 19th of July, and what a truly magical, once in a lifetime experience it was; it wasn’t without hiccups, upon arrival, we noticed that there was no shower gel or conditioner, only shampoo, the room was very adequate, spacious and up to the standards you would expect from a 5 star hotel in terms of decor, but a couple of the lights in the room were not working, though we could look past this. We were being stared at non-stop by guests, and we quickly realised that 99% of the guests staying at this hotel are polish, so maybe it is a cultural difference, but we both felt extremely uncomfortable because of this. The elevators around the hotel are constantly breaking down, they have very clear signage stating a maximum occupancy of 4 people, though this rule was broken by both guests and hotel staff consistently, most likely contributing to the frequency of the elevators being out of service, and people getting trapped in them; this is a complete breakdown of health and safety protocol; me and my partner saw somewhere around 50 kids crying their eyes out after being freed during our stay. There are shops in the hotel, providing everything from designer clothing to sunscreen lotion, and a hair salon, though we found that pricing was far from transparent. This is very much a family hotel, me and my partner were one of a very small number of adult guests staying without children, and if you’re like us, you’ll want somewhere you can relax without kids constantly splashing water in your face and screaming, which brings me to my gripe with the infinity pool. Using the infinity pool requires a €100 per day fee for a cabana, which is rather steep considering the hotel is marketed as ultra all-inclusive, though food and drinks in ice bowls are brought over to you throughout the day, however, there is very large and very clear signage right outside the entrance to the infinity pool stating that it is for adults only. Given that staff seem to have difficulties reading the elevator signs in the hotel reception, it’s no surprise to me that they completely disregard the gigantic sign outside the infinity pool. There wasn’t a single day where the infinity pool didn’t have an abundance of children screaming and splashing, the €100 fee would honestly be worth it if there were no children, it’s supposed to be a place of relaxation and tranquility, not a diving pool for families that frankly have zero control over their children, the pool is only even a few feet deep. Not only is there always children in the supposedly adults-only pool, but there’s consistently groups of people and families that haven’t even paid to be in there; they come, put their stuff down in an empty cabana, cause absolute chaos in the pool, and when they’re asked to leave, they complain that there’s nowhere"

"The hotel is suitcase-friendly with a lift, and having a Starbucks downstairs is very convenient. The breakfast area on the top floor offers a nice view. The staff and owner were friendly. However, the bathroom facilities are a bit outdated and partly malfunctioning, and street noise made it difficult to sleep at night."

"Hotel not for the English. people all Turkish. Food wasn't great. cold the only time you got hot was when it was cooked in front of you at dinner time. rooms basic but the bathroom wasn't great dirty shower and screen. Would I recommend this hotel no I wouldn't if you are English other than that we had a good time entertaining ourselves cos all the entertainment was in Turkish. some of the staff need a lesson in smiling 😊 not all the staff were miserable. pool was nice and clean but the rest needed a good jet wash and cleaner beds."

"This is a good, though not new, hotel in the Marina near Didim, with its own beach club, accessible by golf cart. Breakfast is good and continues until 12:00, not until 10:00 like in some hotels—they understand that people come to relax, not to wake up to an alarm clock. You can choose whatever you want for breakfast from the hotel menu, including delicious coffee and freshly squeezed juice! The service is restaurant-like—no need to run from one serving station to another with a plate, like in a cafeteria. There's a large, well-shaped pool, a summer cafe, and unlimited towels. Overall, the service is high, although prices are quite high for the bar and food at the hotel and beach club. But this is a 5-star hotel, and essentially the hotel is a yacht club. It's a 10-minute drive to the city; walking is impossible!"

Anda Barut Collection – Ultra All Inclusive ★★★★★
"The room we stayed in was wonderful. I think the only downside was that the mini-fridge could have been cooler, or at least with ice. For a place of this caliber, you might not want to consume a soda or drink you grab from the fridge. Other than that, the room was perfect. The patisserie was impeccable, the service and the quality of the products were excellent. It was my favorite spot; the homemade ice tea was delicious. The Miniclub was a very enjoyable place, both day and night. Our son loved it; the sisters, in particular, were friendly, communicative, and responsible. The activities and mini disco were wonderful; they would definitely be a reason to choose Miniclub. The à la carte option is the most problematic, in my opinion. It's nearly impossible to get a table. You have to order it through the app at 10:00 AM, but it's gone in a minute. Then you realize not every table is full; it's clear one or two tables open up and you get them by chance. When you contact them, they say there are 1,500 people in the hotel, so it's hard to get a table. Tiger and Kara are impossible, but you might be able to get one. For example, we couldn't get a reservation for our wedding anniversary, even though we mentioned it both at the entrance and to customer service. We managed to arrange it ourselves another day. Fishcamp offers a mixed breakfast without a reservation, but when it's crowded, the service isn't very good. For example, one morning they ran out of simit (Turkish bagels), and they told everyone they didn't have any. The walk to the open buffet where simit was available was about three minutes. The requested drinks didn't arrive, and the missing items arrived, and so on. These issues only happened one day. After that, we didn't sit where the waiter was waiting; we resolved them that way. The other most troubling issue was that you order by scanning a QR code at the pool, and it arrives quickly and nicely. However, sometimes the system malfunctions. You order but don't go to the bar. Naturally, you just wait. The bar doesn't know about you, nor do you. It happened two or three times in five days. All in all, it's a nice place. We had some issues, but they weren't a big deal for us; I've detailed them in case they're interested. It's a place we'll be returning to."

Akra Didim Resort & Spa ★★★★
"We recently returned from a fantastic two-week stay at the Akra Didim, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Despite the hotel having only been open for a few months, it runs incredibly smoothly; there was no sign of building work, and the entire operation feels well-established. Room & Service Our garden-facing room was a good size and well-equipped, featuring a daily-stocked minibar and high-quality toiletries. While our initial check-in (late on a Sunday) had a slight hiccup regarding the bed setup for our daughter, the staff were incredibly responsive. I must give a special mention to Tolghan in Guest Relations. He was exceptionally apologetic and proactive; once he was involved, every request—no matter how small—was handled immediately. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Dining The food variety and quality across the resort were impressive: The Buffet: Excellent for breakfast and dinner with a huge amount of choice. It caters to even the fussiest eaters, and we never encountered long queues. The in-house desserts were a highlight! A La Carte: We particularly enjoyed Bafa and Incir (which has different menus for lunch and dinner). Livar was great for casual lunches like pizza and burgers. While Okobasi wasn't quite to our personal taste regarding the starter menu, the food quality remained high. Patisserie: A firm favorite for late-night snacks. A pro-tip: ask them for an ice cream milkshake—they aren't on the menu, but they are delicious! Drinks: The drink selection is extensive, and cocktails are made fresh. For the best quality and variety, we found the Lobby Bar to be the best spot. Entertainment & Pools The resort has a lovely, relaxed vibe. While there isn't a "non-stop" feel around the main pool, the Arts and Culture Village provides plenty of activities if you want to stay busy. The entertainment team deserves massive credit—they were so friendly and made our six-year-old daughter feel incredibly special. A huge thank you to Chloe, Izzie, Nieve, Freya, Esma, Kimmie, Bodie, and Taylan for being so wonderful with her! Regarding the facilities: Pools: We loved the main family pool. It was relaxed, and the waiter service on roller skates was a fun and convenient touch! Beach: The family beach is pebbly, which we were initially unsure about, but it turned out to be great. The waiter service and nearby food trucks made it very convenient. Summary If you are looking for a high-quality, relaxed, and family-friendly resort, the Akra Didim is an excellent choice. Everything from the app-based activity scheduling to the professional staff made our two weeks feel seamless and special. We wouldn't hesitate to come back!"
