"We were so looking forward to staying in a tiny house as we live off grid ourselves and were interested to see how others do it. Unfortunately we were disappointed to say the least. We stayed at Colonial Blue. The exterior of the tiny house looked quite run down and the cottage garden was very overgrown and unkempt. We were aware that the bathroom was in a separate tiny house but didn't realise that you had to go down several stairs, along a gravel path and then up more stairs to the bathroom. Made night time trips to the loo awkward to say the least. There was also quite an odour coming from the loo. We are used to composting toilets and the ones we use do not smell!! The bathroom itself was lovely but no bathrobes as advertised on the website. Disappointed that the bed wasn't in the loft area as that would have given more room inside. Also a microwave would be a nice addition for heating up takeaways or prepared food. Kitchen was well stocked but no chopping board! The outside furniture was not sturdy and we had to be careful sitting on the chairs as they felt like they were going to give way at any moment. All in all we had a very disappointing experience considering all the wonderful reviews I read before I booked. For what was offered I felt it was overpriced."

"We stayed in Glenco on our 1st night of holidays in Tasmania from Ireland. It was the highlight of all the places we stayed over 3 weeks. Glenco is in a lovely setting with a working farm with flowers, gardens, animals, green fields all around you. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was 1st class, a real treat. We ate in a sunroom closely observed by a group of chickens. I would love to have stayed another day and night. Do arrive early and enjoy relaxing outside and walking the grounds."

"We celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary here. In a word it was superb. From the incredible location to luxury accommodation topped off with incredible views of Bass Strait, it made for a unique accommodation experience. We had a Lillico unit beautifully appointed with the added special experience of the outdoor hot tub on a deck with panoramic views of the coast. Clever design of the whole place provides privacy with access to some nice facilities. We live locally and hadn’t been aware of this hidden gem. We had dinner in the Basalt restaurant little a few metres from our room. Highly recommend. We will be back!"

"We had the pleasure of staying at Glencoe for three nights and we had a wonderful time. We had the blue room and the bed was super comfy and the room was overall very quiet. Even with other guests staying we didn't hear a thing. The room is well appointed with a fridge, tea and coffee maker and a bluetooth speaker as well as all the other expected amenities. The bathroom is a little on the small side but the room is otherwise very spacious and comfortable. Irene and Russ are the most gracious hosts. It was a pleasure to meet them and hear about life on the working farm. Russ was even gracious enough to give us tips of places to eat and the best routes to take as we explored the area which we really appreciated. It's always nice to meet a fellow foodie and we had one of our best days in the area due to his advice. Irene is a genuinely kind soul and we loved how much she loves her animals. Breakfast each morning was genuinely brilliant. We don't usually get breakfast where we're staying as we like to explore local restaurants but we had breakfast each morning at Glencoe because it was so good. Freshly baked croissants, the most delicious mushrooms I've ever had and barista coffee. Add to that the pleasure of seeing chickens running around in the gardens it all just made for a lovely stay. If you are thinking about staying here I would encourage you to do so. It's a real gem!"

"Beautiful. My favourite stay in Tasmania. Restful, thoughtful & considerate to guests. Wonderful full sized kitchen to use, comfy lounge area, beach & cliff side views, cozy fireside each night, honesty bar for guests. I stayed hillside for the 2nd time & booked the massage after a long hike, great place to rest, restore & renew. This is one of the best values for money I've stayed, Australia & internationally. It really is a very special, quaint place. Rooms are generous size, you have options e.g. shared bathroom (which doesn't feel like sharing, little considerations for guests make it easy). Penguin walk at night, take a wine or snacks for a walk, wood & lights supplied. Don't miss on your travels to Tasmania."
