"The male front desk staff were very slow and irresponsible. Because we arrived earlier than check-in time, we left our luggage there. Several hours later, when we returned, our suitcases were still in the lobby. When I went to retrieve them, no one paid any attention, which raised suspicions about security. Furthermore, during check-in, another male front desk staff member didn't handle my check-in but instead went to another computer and chatted with a colleague about other things; I didn't know what they were talking about. Ultimately, a female staff member handled the check-in. After checking out, I left my luggage in the luggage room. The staff only gave me the key to the metal locker and didn't mention that I needed a room key to open the room door. However, I had already checked out and didn't have a room key, so I had to ask a cleaning staff member working in the basement for help. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the reception area is terrible!"

"Highly recommend, a delightful surprise! The town is beautiful, and there's an excellent Italian restaurant. Parking at the hotel was convenient, though the spaces were quite tight. The room was super spacious, and breakfast was very generous. After visiting Neuschwanstein Castle, we had originally planned to drive to Baden-Baden, but the prospect of a 3+ hour drive felt too tiring. So, we booked this place last minute. Honestly, I'm so glad we stayed a night; we explored the town, and it was absolutely stunning."

The hotel restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options, but it often hosts tour groups, so it can get crowded in the mornings. The rooms are compact but well-equipped and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Overall, a good stay. Recommended."

"The room was small, the bathroom was surprisingly small and had neither an exhaust fan nor a trash can. There was construction scaffolding outside the room. There was mold in the bathroom, and the clothes rack was covered in dust. There was a fly in the room after cleaning. The air conditioner was loud, and there were flies near the food in the breakfast area..."

We did not use the spa facilities as we were too busy exploring the local countryside and surrounding area. "You can't fault the location of this hotel and from the outside it looks decent. But inside it's a different story with tired / out dated decor and renovation needed in a few areas. We booked a 'panoramic suite' for three nights which was meant to be a highlight of our holiday but it was disappointing and had no air conditioning so was unbearably hot. It definitely wasn't worth nearly 2000 euros for 3 nights even in peak season. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful though. I rarely take time to leave a review but over a month later I still feel ripped off by this hotel."

"After having visited 3 hotels on the romantic route classified 4 stars and a 3 star in Augsburg where we had very good services we were surprised when entering the room: small, old-fashioned, entrance door with key leaving something to be desired as to safety (visible screws). The television remote control did not work as did the trunk. The shower is a cabin with a rim, in short, very far from the services expected for a 4-star hotel. Well, nothing practical either. The only good point is the view.... the rendering of the room in real life does not really correspond to the photos sold."

"This hotel is in a beautiful little resort a few kilometres from Fussen and the castles. The hotel overlooks a beautiful lake and although busy in the daytime, quiet at night. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had one of the biggest baths I've ever used. We paid extra for a lake view. We could see the lake but only from a side view. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs. Which did very nice food. The restaurant staff are also the ones who check you in. They are friendly and helpful. My only criticism was we were not told we were going to be charged to park in the garage. It was difficult to park it has about 8 tiny spaces, we didn't bump our car, but I expect many do trying to park here. If we had been told we were paying to use this garage, even though it was only a few euros, we would of chosen to park elsewhere in town. I would recommend this lovely hotel though, good value, in a beautiful location next to the lake. "

"We were staying in Hohenschwangua close to both castles and was told that Schwangau had plenty of restaurants. All looked pretty full so we decided to park the car and walk around the main street to find a restaurant, most places need reservations or were full, one place recommended Helmer Hotel & Restaurant which was just one street off the main road. We were lucky enough they had room. Service was good and the meal was ok. I went for the croquette and schnitzel but found I could taste the oil in both. There was a self serve salad bar which was very good. The location was ideal and the restaurant was nice and cozy. I believe there was a wedding or event going on in one of their banquet rooms. "

"Great family-led house, dear and open reception, detailed explanations. We immediately felt well. Very spacious room, bathroom something small, but very ordinary and clean. Beautiful garden, beautiful balcony. You feel like mothers. A different delicious rugby with coffee or tea well-known free in the afternoon. Equally free parking at the house. Located relatively centrally, you are with car, bus, bike quickly at the desired attractions. Bicycle garage available. It is thought of everything. Here you are thankful to all involved. Also the ladies of the room making are super nice and motivated. Always happy. !!!"

"We stayed with Dreimäderlhaus two nights and had a wonderful time. The room was very cute and homey. The bathroom has everything you need but it is tight, so only good for one person at a time unless someone is in the shower. The room was quiet and like many places in Germany, without air conditioning - we slept with the window adjar and with ear plugs. My spouse had a hard time with the heat (we stayed during a hot streak of 95+ degree days), but I slept wonderfully with the fan on. The hotel is beautifully located on a lake with the Alps in the background (mature trees block much of the view from the hotel itself, but going down to the water is a short walk). I swam in the lake and it was marvelous. It is a short drive to the castles and Fussen. The hotel also boasts of being part of a restorative sleep program, and turns off their WiFi at night - We thought this was nice as WiFi is known to be disruptive to good sleep. Breakfast was lovely - It is a vegetarian breakfast which could leave the meat lover wanting, but it was perfect to hold us over until lunch. The owners are lovely and run the hotel themselves."
