"There were flies in the room, and I spent the whole night fighting them without success. The breakfast was good, and the hotel is very close to Neuschwanstein Castle with many restaurants nearby. The parking fee wasn't expensive, and the hotel even provided free bus tickets, but the bus was too crowded, so it's better to drive."

"Very disappointing stay. Before arrival, the hotel said they would “try their best” to accommodate my request for an air-conditioned room, but at check-in I was simply told that this room type did not have air conditioning unless I paid an extra €131 to upgrade. In addition, the room had only two power outlets, one of which was faulty. As a result, the TV and refrigerator could not be used properly because the staff plugged the fan into the only working outlet instead of fixing the problem. I will not stay here again. The maintenance was poor, and the way the hotel handled these issues was highly unprofessional."

"The place is hard to find. There is a restaurant downstairs. The food is delicious. The room is a bit old, but very clean. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs by yourself. Check-in is very convenient and the service attitude is OK."

Rooms have refrigerator, dining press machine (capsules can be purchased on site 2 pins are inside), cups and glasses in the room. Spacener very comfortable one can go out, rest with sea view. Handtuchs on site, bathroom is available for 5 Euro at the reception. Breakfast very good"

"The hotel is located outside the old town, but it's within walking distance of the old town and the bus stop. The hotel even provided free bus tickets. The hotel environment is very nice, feeling like it's surrounded by a small forest, very quiet. The only downside was that there was still trash left by previous guests in the bathroom trash can, presumably the housekeeping staff forgot to clean it."

"We were here for the second time and felt very comfortable again. We were given a very friendly welcome and were given an upgrade with a view of Neu Schwanstein Castle. The location on Lake Forggensee is quiet and a good starting point for various activities such as hiking, cycling tours, sightseeing, cable cars, etc. Our suite had a living room, bedroom, children's room, balcony. Bathroom with shower and toilet were separate. There was a refrigerator, safe, 2 TVs, sauna bag with bathrobe and towels, kettle for tea and coffee. There was also a free bottle of water every day. The hotel has a wellness area with various saunas (60-90 degrees) and 2 swimming pools (1x inside and 1x outside). There are enough parking spaces and an underground car park for a fee. There are several charging options for electric vehicles. The breakfast is plentiful and you can find something for every taste. For dinner (with half board) you can choose from several main courses, and there is always a dish for vegetarians too. The staff is super friendly, so you can feel completely at home. Disadvantage: Lake Forggensee does not always have water. From October to March the water is drained, so there is no water in the area of the hotel. It looks a bit like a dried-up lake, but it serves as flood protection."

"Beautiful hotel, with a great location right on the lake. However, the hotel has very limited parking spaces, so we had to park on the street and pay every day. The room was quite dated in places, and the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. The breakfast was excellent! A generous buffet and a great dining area with a view of the lake. However, the portions in the evening (4-course menu) were very small, and we weren't really full afterward. Otherwise, we can recommend the hotel."

"Nothing less than five stars- we loved everything about Das Rubezahl! From the moment we pulled into the parking lot we were charmed. Room: We were instantly checked in and taken to our beautiful first floor junior deluxe suite- which had a living room separate from the bedroom and a balcony with a panoramic view of the castles. It was BEAUTIFUL. No A/C, like others have said, but the temperature was mild enough to leave the door open for cool air. The bed was comfy, spa shower was hot and doubled as a wonderful clothes steamer when needed. The toilet room was separate from the shower and down the hall a ways for more privacy. Meals: We purchased the half board package so we had dinner and breakfast before checking out. Dinner was the best meal we’ve had since being in Europe. Four courses, all perfection. Drinks were also amazing. Breakfast was a buffet with everything you could want- options for some cooked things (sausage, pancakes, omelets etc). Everyone at the hotel was SO kind and English was spoken well hotel wide. We are already looking forward to coming back. Thanks for the marmalade upon check out!"

"This is a restaurant and hotel all in one. The restaurant on the first floor, and the guest rooms upstairs. There are free parking spaces, but there are not many parking spaces (but I don’t know if the parking spaces across the road belong to it), and it should be first come, first served. There is a pretty good supermarket about 100 meters away. It is very close to the Neuschwanstein Castle attraction, only three or four kilometers away. The location is still very good. There is no elevator, the room is relatively clean, and the bathroom is spacious enough. If I remember correctly, there should be no air conditioning, but the weather was already cold when we came here, and there was no need for air conditioning."

I booked this hotel for December holidays , unfortunately all flight where cancelled in Munich due to the extreme weather hence our travel plan / flights got cancelled. My booking with hotel was from 09 December and payment was deducted on 02 December . I request for cancellation and refund on 03 December before 06 days of booking and the very next day after they charge me but no support received from hotel side. I requested again and again as it’s a big amount but sadly they didn’t refund . All the other hotel which I booked over Munich and other locations cancelled and refunded me the amount as this is not cancelled internationally by me its because act of god or nature !!!!"

"Great family-led house, dear and open reception, detailed explanations. We immediately felt well. Very spacious room, bathroom something small, but very ordinary and clean. Beautiful garden, beautiful balcony. You feel like mothers. A different delicious rugby with coffee or tea well-known free in the afternoon. Equally free parking at the house. Located relatively centrally, you are with car, bus, bike quickly at the desired attractions. Bicycle garage available. It is thought of everything. Here you are thankful to all involved. Also the ladies of the room making are super nice and motivated. Always happy. !!!"
