Hotel San Marco

"This hotel is in a beautiful little resort a few kilometres from Fussen and the castles. The hotel overlooks a beautiful lake and although busy in the daytime, quiet at night. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had one of the biggest baths I've ever used. We paid extra for a lake view. We could see the lake but only from a side view. We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs. Which did very nice food. The restaurant staff are also the ones who check you in. They are friendly and helpful. My only criticism was we were not told we were going to be charged to park in the garage. It was difficult to park it has about 8 tiny spaces, we didn't bump our car, but I expect many do trying to park here. If we had been told we were paying to use this garage, even though it was only a few euros, we would of chosen to park elsewhere in town. I would recommend this lovely hotel though, good value, in a beautiful location next to the lake. "

"The hotel is just on the lake. We had room 36, so at the 3rd floor with a beautiful terrace. Breakfast included and dogs allowed with an additional €15 per night. nice staff, clean and comfortable hotel. Full relax before you return to Italy. "

"The room was a bit dark, but overall there was parking, which was very convenient. It was also easy to get to Neuschwanstein Castle."

"After having visited 3 hotels on the romantic route classified 4 stars and a 3 star in Augsburg where we had very good services we were surprised when entering the room: small, old-fashioned, entrance door with key leaving something to be desired as to safety (visible screws). The television remote control did not work as did the trunk. The shower is a cabin with a rim, in short, very far from the services expected for a 4-star hotel. Well, nothing practical either. The only good point is the view.... the rendering of the room in real life does not really correspond to the photos sold."

"The hotel is very nice overall. Despite not having a large number of rooms, they make it very comfortable for the guests with lots of nice common areas both inside and outside. The proprietors are very helpful and friendly (and speak English well). The location is wonderful being 2 minutes walking from the Weisensee and the various hiking trails. Bed was comfortable and it's very quiet after dark. Breakfast was really nice with so many homemade items. We appreciated everything being vegetarian! We will definitely stay here again. "

"We stayed in a mountainside view room which was right next to a noisy road and meant our quiet alpine stay was anything but Room was basic but good, lots of facilities and to be honest if we’d paid extra for a lake view room I’d rate the apartment hotel higher"
