"This is a basic Travelodge but its reflected in the price. Invariably this hotel is in a stop-over location and for that purpose, it was perfect. Bathroom a little dated and could have been cleaner but the bedroom was warm, clean and smell fresh. Nice Starbucks on site and if you need a beer, would recommend the Fox Inn Truckstop across the road which, I'm told, is accesible via an underpass by the nearest junction. As we arrived at night we crossed the A1 on foot, prob wouldn't recommend that! Cheap beer and food available, in addition to the OK diner next door. "

"Great guesthouse in a very convenient location in the town centre. Nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised as it was one of the cheapest places in Grantham I didn't know what to expect. My room was nicely fitted out with a hairdryer, iron and ironing boards, nice coffee tray and a TV with Netflix, so I could continue binging on my favourite TV series. I will definitely will stay here again when in town."

The room was small, not very clean, bed was uncomfortable and smelt musty (I know they make a big thing about being a hotel/inn since 1203 - but I don't want the smell from that era as well). I have stayed here previously and it was much better (or at least the room I was in was better). So I will not being staying here in the future"

"Very handy for A1, with easy parking. A Greggs and a Burger King are adjacent and a petrol station and McDonald’s within about a minute. The rooms have long surfaces for sorting your stuff and the staff are friendly and nice. Just be aware that the entrance is a little difficult to spot: head to the back left of the truck stop and drive around the side of the building."

"For the price you pay, this is very good. I'll start with what I liked. Good location within a very short walk to town and to the river, where I went for a run. Toiletries include conditioner, which is rare. Receptionist was friendly. Bed was decently comfortable. My niggles? The bathroom, and some other parts of the hotel, smelled a bit of smoke. I could hear the TV of my neighbor. The duvet is very warm, even once the weather has turned warm, but they do provide a fan. The lighting could be better, especially in the bathroom."

"We recently hosted a private dining event at Allington Manor and it really was perfect. Leo & Amy are wonderful hosts and their hotel is beautiful, even more so after its recent redecoration. Catering courtesy of Damein Greslin was top notch, wonderfully tasty and fully gluten free. The service run by Lesley and her team pulled together the evening beautifully and ensured the whole event went off without a hitch. In sum, believe all of the reviews - Allington Manor really is as good as people say it is!"
