Whether it's a leisurely morning stroll along the lake or catching the sunset from the terrace in the evening, it's an ultimate enjoyment. You'll completely forget you're in the bustling metropolis of Guangzhou, truly embodying the phrase 'away from the hustle, yet still close to the city.' 2. **Prime Location, Quiet and Private:** Despite its serene setting, access is surprisingly convenient. Situated at the base of Baiyun Mountain, it's only about a 20-minute drive from the Tianhe central district, with smooth access whether by taxi or private car. Having previously served as a government reception base, it offers exceptional privacy and security. It's wonderfully tranquil, making it ideal for guests or business travelers seeking complete relaxation. 3. **Spacious Rooms, Expansive Views:** Our lake-view room was very spacious with a practical layout. The absolute highlight was the large balcony directly overlooking the lake and distant mountains – the view was absolutely stunning! Just sitting on the balcony chair, sipping tea and enjoying the scenery, felt incredibly therapeutic and rejuvenating. While the room amenities might not be the most cutting-edge, they are well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and the bedding is wonderfully comfortable. 4. **Friendly and Attentive Staff:** From the moment we arrived, greeted by the concierge, to check-in at the front desk, and interactions with restaurant staff, everyone we encountered was extremely polite, proactive in greeting us, and quick to respond to requests. You can truly feel the high standard of service, a legacy of its past as a state guesthouse. 5. **Excellent Facilities:** The grounds boast tennis courts, a swimming pool (unfortunately closed due to cold weather during our visit), a gym, and more. Squeezing in one last getaway before school starts! I had no idea there was such a hidden gem right near home – it's so quiet, spacious, and elegantly designed, with meticulous attention to detail everywhere. What an unexpectedly delightful experience! Especially HOPE, who attended to us, had such a gentle and unassuming manner, yet provided incredibly thorough and thoughtful service that made us feel completely at ease. We'll definitely be back for a second visit when we're looking for a local escape again.
