We recently stayed at Sofitel Hangzhou Westlake for our honeymoon and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed and celebrated this special occasion with thoughtful touches that went above and beyond. The hotel’s location by West Lake is unbeatable. We loved being able to step outside and enjoy peaceful morning walks with stunning lake views. Our room was elegant, comfortable, and beautifully prepared, with small details that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a highlight every day, offering both international and local Hangzhou dishes that were fresh and delicious. The service team was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. What stood out most was the care and hospitality throughout our stay. The team made sure every moment was smooth and enjoyable, creating memories we’ll cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our honeymoon in Hangzhou. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic and luxurious stay.

The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to Orioles Singing in the Willows (Liu Lang Wen Ying), which makes exploring West Lake incredibly convenient. The rooms were spotless, and the hotel service was outstanding. All the staff members were courteous and welcoming. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

It was wonderful to check into the hotel in late evening.. almost club happy hour closing and be greeted by prosecco and fabulous fresh fruit and nut bread in the balcony and see photo 1. Wonder service..vg prosecco and the bread tastes slightly if long ging, dragon's breath tea. The staff went out of their way to keep the room at 19, which because the air con does not blow on the couch or bed. is 20 or 21.. with an extra blower in each room. Truly a kindness. But what sold, what makes it my hotel of choice is going to the elevator and seeing through double doors on the 6th floor a beautiful garden! Of course, overlooking Westlake! Breakfast was almond so all Chinese but still the wonderful bread and yes, a poached egg is possible, and nice cheese selection. Oh yes, bacon..but no one slicing a ham.

Hello everyone I had a wonderful time here with my family. The location is fantastic . It's right next to the beautiful lake . They even have a huge roof top area where you can see a few temples from and on a night they're lit up. There's a robot room service which is cool. The breakfast has a lot of options even for vegetarians. The rooms were super clean and spacious. There was a concierge called jeef who was very polite. He didn't speak English but he helped very well. The bar staff were friendly and easy to talk too. I would stay here again

Lack of international front desk staff for an international brand hotel. Decent stay nothing to wow. The cafe attached to the hotel serves really bad coffee.

Provided the old room and low floor although has in advance informed to put at least one room with friends on same floor. My friends had the upgraded room and higher room although we paid the same price. The room is of good size. However, concierge provided good service and hotel has free transport to surrounding destinations.

Our second time visiting Hangzhou and chose the same hotel because of its location next to weatlake. An old establishment but still good. Room was large and buffet breakfast was good. Highly recommended

The location is excellent , very close to the West Lake but not affected by traffic jam. Breakfast is good with plenty of options to choose. I love the drinks from Le Bar, had a glass of gin tonic and sparkling wine. The room is big, facing the road side.

The hotel staff are really an asset! All the ones we have to do with where exceedingly friendly And helpful! The hotel itself is the best dated but everything is okay. The information in the hotel about the hotel could be improved. Too bad the rooftop is not used any more to provide drinks or other amenities for the guests.

Excellent location for the attraction of the West Lake. You may walk to the Lake anytime. The Sky Garden on the roof top also presents astonishing views of the Lake. However, the garden itself has room to improve. Friendly staff and clean rooms. An Espresso machine was available in the room we stayed, but no microwave oven and refrigerator. Toilet flushing was on the weak side, but didn’t have any problems.

It is very near to Westlake which is good but the hotel is quite old.

Decent sized room and a convenient location. Sufficient services and amenities provided too
